How many times have you made angry statements about America? That we deserved 9-11 because we want to take over certain countries. How many times have you said we get what we deserve in Iraq and that the insurgents are only protecting themselves?

You are advocating the death of US Soldiers by stating the insurgents deserve to kill them.

The US Soldiers are from the US... if you get angry that someone questions Islamic Law and you say it is racist, what about you advocating the death of Soldiers that are following the US law.. BUT... I cannot kick someone off because they hate my Country. I can't tell them that since they want to see our people die that they should be kicked off.

In the same respect.. you have to learn to deal with questions and the fact that no one has to like Islam, Christianity or even Wicca. That is a personal choice.

A Bannable (if that is even a word) offense comes in the form of someone calling for the death of all "green bean worshipers".

Well I see this world much more differently than you and lioneye do.

These nations, these states, these pieces of land and different laws are only temporary.

To devout Muslims, Islam is a way of life...both for the physical and spiritual realm. Once the physical passes away...like our countries for one, we have to face up to the spiritual, which I take much more seriously. Im sure that applies to devout _____ (fill in any other devout follower of any other religion or belief).

When I read about how Islamic extremists want to wipe Israel off the planet and convert or kill the rest of us, it just offends me more than anything I have ever known. I really does. And you defend everything about it all, which boggles my mind.

So if I've offended you with my comments even half as much as those things offend me, then we're almost square. Why can't you ever think with your higher conscience of what's right, what's wrong, what's fair? Instead you just defend defend defend. But at the same time, you'd never want to go live in one of those strict Islamic nations. You would not want to live that way and you know it, yet your sensibilities are so offended when a non-muslem criticizes it. Hypocrite.

If I at times seem to blur the line between religion & race, I don't mean to because I realize there are also Arabs who are Christian, Hindu, maybe even Jewish. I have no problem with the Arabian race. I only have a problem with the appallingly oppressive and aggressive version of Islam I referred to above. When you defend it, then you also blur the line between yourself and these groups. And if you are what is considered a 'moderate', and this is the way YOU feel, then the line between "moderate" & "extremist" starts to get a little fuzzy as well.

Let's not pretend that people to NOT pervert Christianity or Islam. It wasn't so long ago people left England to pursue religious freedom. Even during that time women were held down because the men in those days perverted the word of Christianity.

What is the difference with saying the same about various interpretations of Islam?

In this Country we have weirdo old men that claim to be prophets of Mormonism so they can marry 15 women... even if they are under the age of consent. That is using the "word" of a religion to procure a desired result. In the end, the women are treated like little slaves- tending to the children and the man's needs.

The world is more than Islam. The world is more than Christianity.

The world is more than Green Bean Worshipers...

If you cannot tolerate being questioned then do you really have a hold on your sprituality and beliefs?

If people wrong point out the Truth. Post facts that counter their articles. If someone posts a document from several human rights organizations talking about the abuse in several Islamic nations, post something that states it is wrong- not just your opinion.

Lioneye did NOT say yours was a dead religion, she said that the old practice of women as property was 7th century and that died along time ago.

Ask yourself why Nations have succeeded when they acknowledge the rights of women, to work, to drive, to do what they please, and why some women have their private areas removed and that society seems to still be back in the dark ages?
