I hope you understand, LTT, that I don't judge or take things personally against people. Words, deeds, etc. I weigh as all the rest of us do but, though not at all as extreme here, I live by "hate the sin, not the sinner". [Iow, I'm not calling anyone here a "sinner".] You may not believe me but that was a very difficult post for me to write. And I understood where it could lead for us and I'm sorry for that.

Jwhop and 26taurus ... I've lately chosen to avoid a number of the outbursts here for many reasons but I just wanted you to know that I hear you. There's that old adage often in my mind when I read what you share here which is, "what's right isn't always popular, what's popular isn't always right".

Eleanore, Thank You for speaking up. You might never know how much of a weight you just lifted off my chest. It is really nice to know when another "hears" you. I understand why you have chosen to avoid these threads and that is wasnt easy for you to say what you did. I have tried to avoid them too. But sometimes it gets to be too much. Just so you know, I do appreciate it. Mostly because I know it comes from your heart. Thank you for speaking it. You really have a way....a way which I think most of us here are able to see and appreciate clearly.

Thank you.

One thing I will agree on is that a thread devoted to someone ideally shouldn't turn into a character assassination.

For that reason I deleted all my posts on this thread.

This was done out of respect for GG.

I just have one aching question for 26T though. Politically right or left?

Pity, you made some good points there AG. I particularly liked what you suggested about offering the same understanding/ compassion towards those who disagree with jwhop, as is being given to jwhop.

I am so sorry you had to go through that traumatic situation with your husband. I had no idea

26Taurus- your posts were beautiful and well worded. I'm sorry you were attacked when you meant so harm or ill will in any way.

I understand where Amanda is coming from. When we are faced with a traumatic event we evaluate our lives, what we have done and who we may have hurt. Such a situation brought Amanda and I together when at one time we had had words as well. She is a remarkable person and I can't sing her praises enough for how selfless and caring she is. Even though her thread was hijacked and turned into a negative smear campaign by some, she still holds her head up high and won't back down from her intent.

She is an example that many strive to be or claim to be yet come severely short of measuring up to that example.

from jwhop to LTT on page 1:

Listen LTT, didn't they teach you in leftist school that when you're not talking to a fellow leftist that you always end any sentence with..."you're a racist, homophobic Nazi Fascist?
Whatever are they teaching in leftist school these days?

I'm just certain anyone who disagrees with you LTT is by definition...a bully.

i'm just certain anyone who disagrees with you Jwhop is by definition...a leftist (to be mild)

LTT and HSC there's so much i'd like to tell you. thank you for keeping the light. you're great, no matter what some angry todllers might think! thank you. yes, one thing maybe, think about the advantages of diversity... diversity is a good thing, it benefits everyone! even though you might know better, which i believe, ultimately diversity is the way to get to where you know. when you say something and it is rejected, remember:

quote:

Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces. Matthew 7:6

ok, having said that, i just stop right here, because of the words of GG

quote:
Ok. I wanted to do something nice for someone. Jwhop and I have had our differences. All this has become INSIGNIFICANT in the grand scheme of life to me. I wanted to let him know that even though we have had our differences that I think he is a good person, and I appreciate him.
If you don't like what he writes, than ignore it. You aren't going to change his mind ok? Just live and let live. In the end, we're all going to die and this won't matter.

I just wanted to do something nice here. Can't we please just let it be nice????

And if this hurts someone's feelings, I'm sorry about that too. It's been a long day, and this isn't what I expected to read when I got here.

26Taurus,

quote:
F*CK YOU!

I know how you feel.

I almost exploded like that on jwhop.

Yes. Sometimes it gets to be too much.

And it doesnt mean you arent seeing deeply,
and it doesnt mean you are too sensitive.

Sometimes, you just have to say "when".

You have put your foot down with me for calling you arrogant for calling me arrogant,...
or for calling you blind for calling me blind...
and, most importantly, for putting my foot down with jwhop
for his unceasing pathologiocal abuse that has gone on for years now.

Sometimes it gets to be too much.

For all the "thin-skinned" people who are hurt by jwhop's sadism,
and who dont think that the problem is with them...

"A five year old could understand this."

Of course, there is no reason to suppose that quote (or the MLK quotes) is a reflection on you or anyone else here.
Its just some unrelated thought I wanted to slip lovingly in under the radar. You understand.

HSC

ps. I think you missed my apology to you on the other thread, from the other day. Right after TINK called me a quivering puddle of goo.

juni,

This hasnt been GG's thread for days.

She accomplished her purpose, it was received. End of story.

Since then there have been larger issues that overflowed.
I tried to keep them out of the thread, which is clear from the fact
that I said what I had to say in another thread,
and it was jwhop who brought it in here, slandering me,
when I had not even made an appearance in this thread.
At that point, the thread was already compromised.

These matters concern respect and decency for all of us, not just goatgirl.
It is admittedly bad timing, and not the best place to hold this discussion,
but this discussion had to happen sooner or later, one way or the other.
Jwhop constantly attacks and abuses anyone who even asks him a question.
That is an offense thousands of times worse than my calling attention to it here.

If you and other see fit to meet me with criticisms on this thread,
then you are in no moral position to tell me I cant do the same for jwhop,
whose "indecency" extends far far beyond mere alleged thread-crashing.
I realize you seem to think this thread is holy ground,
but I have not dug up any bodies or overturned any gravestones.
I happen to think that the whole of Lindaland is equally holy,
and ought to be defended from jwhop's projectile vomitting of venom,
which we regularly see coating all the walls of GU.

hsc

ps. Did you miss the nice thing I said to you in the other thread,
after the last thing you had said to me was a hippocritical dig?

You're starting to sound like a whining six-year-old who dropped his ice cream cone in the sandbox. BO HOO F*cking HOO. Be a man. GU is a tough Forum. After 911, the whole Board was filled with a lot of contention, so GU was created to contain it. If you can't handle it, don't post there. Most people don't. And there's nothing wrong with not going to GU. Stay in the fluffy Forums where you can wax philosophical and be admired for flowery phrases. You should have kept your "justice" crusade off this string...which was between Jwhop and GG. You keep beating that same dead horse. We get it. Loud and clear. "Larger issues" have overflowed? Really? In your opinion, perhaps. Maybe you think your personal beef with Jwhop is more important than how GG feels. Of course, you do. Only your feelings matter. Very Buddha-like, by the way.

And before anybody decides to throw in an attack on HSC's character, yes, he has faults, but that side of him only usually appears when he has been insulted first, and his manner of conduct is a lot more balanced than most. He is also humble enough to admit his own faults and mistakes.

I disagree...and I speak from personal experience to say that he feels free to insult people WITHOUT being insulted first. So yes, Jwhop has his ways of responding to people but thats because they antagonize him first. And im sorry saying someone is "evil" for their opinion IS an insult...

Dear Tink, my heart goes out for you. Much love. I totally agree with you! Its upsetting that on a thread started in good will and compassion people feel the need to argue... if the people arguing were half as compassionate as they say they are they would hold their tongues for another time...

Tons tons tons tons of love to goatgirl!

Of course he does. That's the problem. His "wisdom" is the only right wisdom, and he looks down on others' beliefs when they don't jibe with his own. A real man, indeed! Of course, if I had a harem like he does, I might feel that my poop doesn't stink either, so I really don't blame him.

Randall, are you talking about jwhop and his harem?

personnally i'm in nobody's harem

as for HSC "wisdom", lucky us that he's willing to share his views, especially at the price of being ostracized. if we relied only on jwhop's input. we'd be all insulting each other.

once again thanks HSC
