If you have considered suicide from reading the words of an anonymous poster on a discussion board, then yes, you need help--more help than can be offered in this venue. And if you are truly sleeping with several different women, they must have severe esteem issues, because (in case you haven't heard) women want a real man--not a whiney clingy wuss. HSC, i dont know how to express that in the best way but i'm gonna try to make my point no matter how it sounds because i'll be judged anyway. well that's exactly about that in fact. i don't care if i'm being judged, good or bad. despised or appreciated. that wont change a thing. i'm being made upset by people when i try to tell them to look in the right direction. well, if you know that it's the right direction, there's no need to invite someone who's going to mistreat you along the way. they are mistreating you for being your true self. and its only fair that you suffer about it. how would you know that it's your true self you've found if you didn't suffer to feel it and be sure?
so relax in the love that you've reached, it wont be more real because you can prove it in the outside world, and dont let them turn you in their projected fears. IP: Logged |

Thanks, praecipua, I appreciate the support and advice and encouragement, but I do not want to say more inflammatory things, at the moment.
I do not know what people's motives are, but I am certain that they are many and varied. I do appreciate your kindness, and sticking your neck out for me, Thank you.Everyone, Whatever people may think, I really dont want to go back and forth without trying to find a common ground.
I have been reflecting on this and trying to consider all sides (let me repeat that: all sides) of this matter.
Please, open your minds, give me a chance, and listen to what I have to say.  I appreciate that there are a lot of hurt feelings here, and that people think that nothing new is being said, but I believe I have recently made an effort to reach for a practical solution which honors both sides of this dilemma. I have been thinking a lot about what it means to "go within" and what it means to exert influence on the outer world. I honestly do not believe that one way is necessarily better than the other, and I think it probably has a lot to do with hemisphere emphasis in the natal chart. We all need to find what works for us. It seems to me that many people who are self-contained and do not care to exert influence as much are people with an emphasis in the yin houses and/or in the lower half (the "personal" houses) of the chart.
I think we may be able to reach a compromise that respects and validates both perspectives. Here is what I propose, and I would appreciate your input: Perhaps the fair alternative is to create a second forum for politics. A Global Unity for the people who are "too sensitive",
and a Global Unity for the people who dont mind the rough stuff. That would be a win-win situation, yes? That way, the "too sensitive" people are not run out of town,
and the rest of you can keep things just the way they are. Or, you can just say "F--- You" to the "too sensitive" people,
and think only of yourselves and what works for you. But I think this would be arrogant and hippocritical,
as your argument has been that we are dismissive of your p.o.v. Here is an attempt to respect, honor, and validate your views,
while doing the same for ours, and I think it is a very good idea. Any takers? Any objections?

That wouldn't work, because some of what you and other pacifists say is also offensive (calling servicemen murderers, for example). Politics is a hot topic, so creating a different kinder, more gentler Forum won't work. Why not just say what you really want--a totally biased leftist Forum where opposing viewpoints are not allowed?------------------

I was trying to make the peace not because I was wrong (to express myself) but because I hate getting involved with conflict. (It WAS wrong, however, to post it on Amanda's thread). I was sorry to see people getting angrier and angrier, and saddened that there seem to be no foreseeable solution to it.At the end of the day, we all have our opinions, and mine is just as valuable as anybody elses.
