Um, Randall, I'll second that! I am in tears now. Mele, I love the except from Love Poems about "forgetting me". Oh gosh. I mentioned on another thread that I have to get Love Poems. I've never read it but I think it's going to transform me when I do!

Welcome, pearly

Love Poems books are currently out of print, unfortunately, but it's possible to find a used one. I found mine in an used bookstore.

"Spirit Guides" from other levels of awareness are--not always, but too often--misleading, and sometimes even diabolical, leading you in the opposite direction from the top of the mountain you're longing to reach. Linda Goodman's Star Signs The book closed before I could get the page number!

But real Truth can be found in one place only - in every man's and woman's communion with an eternal Source of hidden Knowledge within - which each individual must seek and find for himself or herself.

We may point out the path to others, but each must walk along that path alone - until every single "lost one" has made the whole journey - and all of us have finally reached the Light of full-born Wisdom at the end of the Way...where we began, a long-forgotten Time ago.

Star Signs Preface xxvi

Oh, the miracle of Us!

at last, we found a mountain who could fly

a mountain who could soar across the sky
and flap its wings of feathered peaks like some giant snowbird
dipping in and out of clouds

when you and I were watching it together
holding hands and touching hearts
rubbing noses, making magic, then...oh, how it flew!
showing off the acrobatics it had learned to do
all through the centuries of waiting for our faith

quote:
Since you grumbled your way into my life with your Venus-in-Virgo slide rules and scales and measuring sticks of perfection ... I seldom get excited unduly. I'm on time for appointments ... but I still read Brenda Star ... wear pink goo on my lips ... I'm sorry about falling short like that, it's just that I have to save some pieces of myself ... ~ Venus Trines at Midnight

By the way, my Mom named me after Brenda Starr. Mele

Eyes of an arrogant, but gentle stranger eyes I once knew so well

why is the night so still?

Arms I remember
rainbow that died
thunder that crashed on a hill

Smile of a proud and an intimate stranger
thoughts I can clearly hear
bringing familiar pain
dream half-forgotten
music that echoes

why did it start to rain?

Mele, that's a direct quote from Gooberz. I recently read it.

"Everything was so wild and free and windswept then, like running barefoot through green meadows of sweet grass...falcons flying overhead, and a thousand pink-peppermint-striped circus balloons floating all around them...when they both knew they could soar around the world in eighty days, as the lark flies...measured by a moment in eternity, flashed by lightning....when "home" was the circle of each other's arms."

"...in the beginning [they] would have sacrificed Kingdoms for their Grand Passion-- defied whole Universes to be together."

And now a bit of comedy which was of personal significance to me...

"Darling, I've been invited to a poetry reading tonight. Could you drop me off, then catch a film, and pick me up later?"

"No. I don't want to go to the movies alone."

"Then would you like to come along with me, because...."

"No, I wouldn't. You know I don't mess around with that mystical stuff."

"All right. I won't go to the poetry reading. I'll go to the movies with you. Do you like my new dress?"

"It's too short. You look like a stripper, ready to pull her last zipper. Put on something else, and let the hem down before you wear it again."

"Yes, dear, I will. But everyone is wearing...."

"Sure, and everyone is also going nuts with sex and drugs and riots and revolutions and female liberation. Does that mean the woman I love has to copy them?"

"No, of course not. You're right, darling. I just thought...."

"You shouldn't think, since it obviously mixes up your brains, and gives you fuzzy opinions. Just stick to your female functions. Come on, we'll be late for the........hey! Where are you? Where did you go?"

She has disappeared, as suddenly and subtly as the white rabbits, silk roses and colored ribbons.

Oh Goob ! now I can complete my Happiness pOem
because you've taught me what I've been seeking
why gladness and sadness should rhyme

yes, Charlie Brown, you funny clown, I finally see
Good Grief !
grief is good, for it helps you grow to know
unless it becomes too flooding and painful to bear
but......what is the secret formula you recalled just now
that made you know how...to stop the Nature rain ?

Capricorn Calendar

How old am I?
I'll be 92 next Christmas
though I won't admit to one day over 20

Even after all the birthday cards
are cut and shuffled
it's hard to figure

I've aged at least 500 years
since I stumbled into you
Yet I still believe in fairy tales
like "The Princess and the Frog"
perhaps I'm really only 3 or so?

You'll never know how old I am
but I'll tell you anyway
I was born the hour we met
and died today

quote:
First of all, it's necessary to comprehend that you are a holy trinity, composed of body, mind, and soul. Your Spirit (the Angel of your Higher Self) watches over the three, but is not an integral part of the Earthling You.

This Holy Trinity of You is forever inseparable, and if only allopathic medicine would realize and comprehend that vital truth, we would be nearly all the way home - to permanent good health. ~ Star Signs
