I drew tonight, and not based on any source material in front of me (which is good, because I need to get in contact with my own creativity). A couple drawings weren't great. A couple showed potential. One, the most conceptualized one, turned out pretty good, and I think I have a good idea of where I want to go with it.

P.S. I can NEVER live with my brother again. You at least tried.

LOVE that mermaid.
I've noticed that some tattoo artists are so jaded these days.
What I mean is that, well, people just like what they like. I was in a shop looking at tatoos and two guy artists were talking to one another, and the one said if he had to tatoo another fairy, butterfly, or mermaid on a "chick" he was gonna puke. RUDE! Made me feel like in order for him to do a good job, it would have to be something he liked.

I know you wouldn't do that.
I suppose after awhile some designs would get tiresome, but still...IMHO, you would think the quality of his work would mean more to him than what the image is!
Ok. Done ranting now.

T!
Do you have a place to go? I live about 3 hours away from you and you can come crash at my place but it's really far away from your work
Do you need a loan? I may be able to come up with something.

T, I know that it's weird for a total stranger to offer you help.
The thing is... having been on LL for all these years... I feel close to many people here, including you.
So if you need any help... you know who to email.

Really sorry, T.
Been there myself, it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, to let my little brother "go." He is currently homeless in San Fransico, due to his mental condition, which was exascerbated (sp?) considerably by his drug usage. It still haunts me today, but like you said, you can't save some people. They are on their path, and you are on yours.
Just pray (or whatever your choice of meditation to a higher power) that he will find his way, and trust for sure that it will happen.
That is the only thing that has given me any peace.
You are much loved, as seen here. Everyone is wishing and hoping the best for you.

It warms my heart when a person takes a risk, and acts on an idealistic notion.

I haven't drawn many pictures in my life, but I like to.

I drew this for my mum and sent it to her around her birthday, we weren't talking at the time but I know how much a humming bird means to her, she has a tattoo of one on her shoulder. I love what they represent...so here's my attempt at one. I know its not good but I took my time so it turned out much better than what it could have been.

Thanks T, it's just that I could have done a much better job on its tail. I felt like I let myself down. But overall it is nice.

The Humming Bird is a messenger:

"The hummingbird symbolizes many different concepts. Because of its speed, the hummingbird is known as a messenger and stopper of time.
The hummingbird is a messenger.

It is also a symbol of love, joy, and beauty. The hummingbird is also able to fly backwards, teaching us that we can look back on our past. But, this bird also teaches that we must not dwell on our past; we need to move forward. When the hummingbird hovers over flowers while drinking nectar, we learn that we should savor each moment, and appreciate the things we love. " - I originally copied this from somewhere.

I also remember thinking that its size is deceiving because of its strength. That is what resonates to my mum I think. My mum is a tiny POWER house, truly she is, she gets more done in a day than I could in a week. It's paranormal. Lol
