Hey Mermaid;
Nice to hear from you again, fellow lover of Dave lyrics.  You know, when I started this thread, a year ago? Has it been that long, well, I started it because there was already a Favorite Lyrics Thread by MM, and I wanted to make one that addressed our more temporary emotions. Funny though, I'm right back where I started from.
The cyclical thing that life is...

That is a STUNNING video Teasel, I loved it!!I love these kinds of videos that are sunlit, and positive... they really perk me up.

I'm not listening to that right now.  Gypsee, I'm glad you liked the song and video.
My mood dipped in the past twenty-four hours, but it was a great week, so that's good. We have a vet appointment to get to tomorrow - an hour's drive - and I have to be up and ready early, but I didn't fall asleep until gone 6am. I also have a ton of things to do. Eddie Money I can handle. However, if I never hear 'Love Shack' again, it will be too soon. If you've ever worked at a karaoke bar, or even spent alot of time in one, you will understand.

too funny Gypsee!! that was the first kareoke song i sung. i thought i'd be less nervous if i had someone singing with me, so my ex did. after he did "Angel of the Morning"
He was a Taurus w/ a super deep voice so it was pretty funny. Love Shack might not be so bad if someone was able to hit all the right notes, right? I've done that song a few times since then and each time have people come up to me after exlaiming how awesome it was with this kind of face  haha! I'm pretty good at mimicing voices Bet you get these alot too?

Was just thinking how much of a nervous wreck i am each time i get up to sing - feel like i'm going to puke and get shakey, clammy hands (Vir moon & Saturn in Leo), but the Cap asc hides it very well, so the Taurus Sun do one of it's favorite things - sing!! Normally i'm a pretty quiet person and don't like to be center of attention, but karaoke is so much fun. IP: Logged |

Oh Lord, we had this one singer, she did Nancy Sinatra EVERY night that she came in, which was Thurs through Saturday. My goodness, she screamed the whole thing,, and they had to turn her mic down BEFORE she got up there, because she would automatically demand it to be turned up, so really she was just singing at the normal volume, which was WAY too loud.As far as Bobby McGee, I am the only fool that tries that one. But, I've heard alot of peeps do 'Peice of My Heart'. I used to get nervous, but part of the requiremnet of working there was that the employees HAD to sing, that way there would be no gaps if we were slow. If you do it enough times, the stage fright goes away. lol. IP: Logged |
