POEM Go Lovely Rose

Go, lovely rose!
Tell her that wastes her time and me
That now she knows,
When I resemble her to thee,
How sweet and fair she seems to be.

Tell her that's young,
And shuns to have her graces spied,
That hadst thou sprung
In deserts, where no men abide,
Thou must have uncommended died.

Small is the worth
Of beauty from the light retired;
Bid her come forth,
Suffer herself to be desired,
And not blush so to be admired.

Then die! that she
The common fate of all things rare
May read in thee;
How small a part of time they share
That are so wondrous sweet and fair!

The Heart of The Lady

she was small of stature
was known to have a second rate face
an outcast from the family
she still had to hold up her place
from the outside looking in
they saw nothing but silk and lace
she had yet to discover the longings of a
seemingly empty space
no had yet learned to trace
the beating of the heart of the lady

she heard a cry outside her window
tho' winter frost painted the glass
the sparkle of the eyes that shone
revealed her reflection looking back
something in her started melting
as she closed those curtains to the past
when she opened her door heard the language of a
still small seismic blast
that blew apart the cast...and freed
the beating of the heart of the lady

she stepped out in the country
dressed incognito so not to trip alarm
drove a team of sturdy horses
tilled the ground of her Daddy's servant's farm
the foreman he grew friendly
but his wife just could not feel the charm
so she left for londontown where she languished til'
the gentleman took her arm
and led her deeper in the storm of the wild
beating of the heart of the lady

she woke up from the night before
his sweet scent on the sheets was still warm
the lines they'd wove together
had grown into a mighty mighty cord
she'd settled in his world enough
to know something was wrong
saw a note left on the table written lavishly
in sorrow and forlorn
"Dear, I must be off to war."...so broke
the beating of the heart of the Lady

she walked out in the morning air
to the post still clinging for some news
felt the roundness of her belly
wandering...which way to choose
it had been four months of ages
yet somewhere inside she knew
she would take up all this burden...somehow lovingly
they'd rise up from the blue
the beauty of the phoenix flew out of
the beating of the Heart of The Lady

World of Thoughts

I've been a stranger, and I'm being known
To many people playing at the Sparks Hotel
I've been a hippie, and I've been a clown
And still don't know how much should I tell
On my adventures and stories of the day

I played my jingles, I work on my dreams
Glad I never followed the modern stream
I'm stuck with the longings, they never went away
Maybe someday, there will be nothing more to say
The muse will lead me to greener pastures and better roads

I think of the indians, they are losing it all
Death is about to go to the Lion's Hill
The last lung of this broken nation
Just them and a few of us will do some reaction
But it's all meant to go down, like everything in this land

I have my wide world of thoughts
I'm in a good place with these thoughts
