"Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven" (Acts 1:11).

Here the meaning is other. The context shows that only his followers saw when he was being `taken into heaven´. So we must believe that only his true followers will see when he´s back. "In the same way" means in silence, without public announcement, only in front of his followers. That was the way he went. It doesn´t mean in the same body, because Jesus already gave his body as a sacrifice (1Cor 11:24).

We shouldn´t confuse Acts 1:11 with Revelation 1:7, "Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him", This last verse is symbolic, because "those who pierced him" are already dead. When we compare these two verses we understand that Acts 1:11 will come true first, and Revelation 1:7 will later. How can we be sure about this? The Bible is so easy: In Matthew 24:3 his followers ask him about that second coming: "When will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?". In Greek, the word used in the original text was `PAROUSIA´, and it really means `PRESENCE´, not `COMING´. That´s why in Young´s Literal Translation we read "the sign of thy presence". So, Jesus will be present in a special, invisible way, during a space of time, and then he will act acording to his Father will.

Of course, if Jesus were going to be seen by anyone, why would we need any sign to know he is present? Therefore, we must think that he will be (or is already) back even if we can´t see him yet. Only his followers are ready for that, and that will be the gift for their faith, as he himself said: "Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me" (John 14:19); "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed" (John 20:29).

The idea I want to post here is that we cannot be waiting until he appears, but doing what he said we should do. Then, when he finally acts against his enemies, the day when "every eye will see him" (Revelation 1:7), his followers will receive the promise(John 3:16). That wont be the time to start our Christian life, but to receive the eternel life, if we "keep watch" (Matthew 24:42).

The Second Coming... hmmm, what a mind warping concept. Would we recognize the Christ if He were to return to Earth as a Physical Being?

Look what happened to Him the first time around. Have we as a race of humans evolved much since then? We are still fighting wars, the one in the Middle East not much further along than it was in His time. We still do horrible things to our children and our planet on a daily basis. Some of these things are being perpetrated in the midst of Mother Church herself, the very place organized religion wants us to turn in our time of Spiritual need!

What would Jesus look like if he were to return to the Earth plane? Would He come in Glory, or would he move in silence? Would we recognize His words? Did we the FIRST TIME?

Christ literally means "annointed". At some point in our Evolution, are we not all Christed? Are we not all the Sons and Daughters of The Father? Did Christ not tell us that "these things that I do, and greater can you do..." if we but have the FAITH. Do we?

I'm certainly not trying to be a downer.. I have great Faith that we can avert the predicted Earth catastrophes... if we could NOT, what would be the point of having been given them?

It's just that my curiosity is picqued... would we KNOW Jesus if He came back to Earth today? Do we KNOW each other to be the ANGELS that God sends to us? Like all things, it is a matter of perspective!

Looking, do we SEE, and listening do we HEAR? I think that is the only sign that Christ will give us when He (or as easily SHE) returns. Are we ready?

Just a few thoughts... now I have to go unbury my car!

Aselzion, earlier in this thread, someone posted a link to Share International. I though you may have checked it out also.It has had me thinking about it,and I wanted to know if you had an opinion on it.I see you are a Brother in Light.

I have had a couple of "weird things" happen since I went there.

Actually since I came here!!!hahaha

Becuase this world has gone through such a transformation of technology and advancement, I will not be surprised if Jesus will return in the next half of this century, during a time of troubles but not the end (far from it.) Although you shouldn't take my word for it.

The KJV BIBLE has exactly 66 books, why ? Is not this number reminiscent of the mark of the beast : 666 ? Is it possible the church fathers who compiled the most common form bible (KJV) of today had alterior motives to subject humanity into worshipping something other then genuine religion ? Let me take it one more notch up in the following paragraph...

Here is a cypher table which will show numerical equivalents to key words. What you are about to see will most certainly shock you:

A=6 B=12 C=18 D=24 E=30 F=36 G=42 H=48 I=54 J=60 K=66 L=72 M=78 N=84 0=90 P=96 Q=102 R=108 S=114 T=120 U=126 V=132 W=138 X=144 Y=150 Z=156.

The cipher table is base 6 with increments of 6 and the reason for this is because the base math of the beast = 666. Now lets check out some key words... King James' initials are K. & J. Look at the “decipher chart” above. K=66, and J=60. K. + J.=6660 (zero has no value; 666).

Is it possible the mark of the beast is the book we hold in our hand, and indoctrinate our forheads (mind) with, a most popular book in the world whose name is the BIBLE (BABEL or the book of speaking in tongues) ? Revelation 13.17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

i think a lot of the old stuff that goes down as judgment and prophecy could be let go, but what happens sometimes is that people don'r see god's wrath coming fast enough...free will Tinker Toys...

and the choice to be fearful rather than bravely seek the divine...maybe in the Aquarian Age "fear of god" becomes an archaic concept, a new way of seeing blasphemy, having to be afraid of god--??
