Ra, Hopeful, Shamrock227 and all! Did you know Alice Bailey's books are online? You can read them or download them. Here is the link to A Treatise in White Magic. http://www.netnews.org/bk/magic/toc.html Here is their main page, where you can see all the books. http://www.netnews.org/ Donna IP: Logged |

Donna - thank you for those links!shamrock - I'm so glad you started this string. Ra - again you amaze me. You are correct that I have steered away from the ritual part of wiccan religion. It is the part that keeps me from completely getting my arms around it. I am fascinated with the mind, the power of thought and the power of the written word (big surprise, eh?!). I feel more in tune with the energy in the Uni-verse and see the world differently than I did just a few months ago. I look for signs and feel the wind on my face and the ground beneath my feet and i "feel" the connection. However similar to shamrock, I'm not comfortable with sprinkling salt and steps in different directions. I do like the idea of colors having an effect on our thoughts, and I like burning different scents of incense to help me meditate. I've looked into the use of herbs a little bit but that has not really gone anyway either. I think the timing of these posts are synchronicity at play as I've been feeling stymied. I will read Bailey. Thank you for the referral! Hopeful IP: Logged |

I looked at the Bailey link and really liked what I read. So...I went to the library but it was checked out! I decided to order my own copy. I did pick up "The Quest" by Paul Brunton at the library. Anyone read any of his works?Hopeful IP: Logged |
