U know, sometimes just before I drift to sleep, I would suddenly feel as if I was sucked off to some dream scene, often a scary one. Subconsciously, I would know I can wake myself up, but it would take a lot of effort while my body stays paralyzed. This doesn't happen often, only when I am feeling very tired. Is there a difference between this and astral travelling? I don't remember any vibratory sensations.. The most recent was when I was thinking about this actor who died a year back, and then I suddenly was doing a LExigram for his name in my mind, and the word "ice" came out.. and then I was sucked to the front of his coffin. It was a Chinese burial. I woke up before I actually saw the face of the person lying in it. I think I'll wait till I'm 30 before I try astral travelling.. I'm only in my early twenties.

Hello FishKitten and all, I'm continuing on with my previous post... 3 years later. I've finally managed to get some successful tries at astral travel after reading several books and websites. It usually happens before I wake up in the morning, and it happens once every few weeks. But so far I haven't been able to get a clear vision of where I am each time. I forgot all about time travel since.. Will try it next time.

Wow! This is fascinating. I think I had astral travel myself but after a deep meditation. I was doing it when I was around 12. I get really freaked out because of the sensation of being pulled...white light tunnel and whoosh I see the leaning tower of Pisa. Sometimes there's a dark hooded figure hovering around. I didn't like the hooded figure. Sometimes when I'm about to astral travel the hooded figure was around. Another thing remembered my first time astral traveling I was Lexigramming my own name and I was half asleep half awake after meditation. The moment I laid my head on the pillow and my arm reached over the side of my head as I rolled to my side when I felt an arm pulled my hand and my astral body lifted up like I was out of body. I can see my room from the vantage of floating toward the ceiling. I could feel the fear holding me back from going all the way until I told myself to let go and science. Following was a beautiful scene of Italy. Another experience was a visit from a young Buddhist monk with two older monks and they spoke Aramaic to me which I could understand.

Fishkitten your tales of astral travel/bi location are riveting. I love archaeology and have fascination for cultures. I didn't have anyone to teach me.... it was a by product of meditation and I kind of stopped because I get freaked out by visitation or hooded figure hovering around me when I astral travel. It happens during the day more so for me.

I love to hear more stories from folks about this phenomenon.
