FishKitten...thank you for the fascinating reads.

Perhaps I skimmed an earlier post, but what method do you use for your time travel? Years ago, and perhaps I was too young, I explored "Journeys out of the Body," but found it disappointing. And as I recall, the author made it all sound quite scary and unfulfilling.

Your advice re: time travel is also very sound.

The method I use is similar to astral travel or bi-location. It is all based on changing your vibrational rate. If you read the thread on Nexus and Pexus, it is basically the act of consciously accesing the Nexus. I can see why the author of the book might make it seem scary and perhaps even unfulfilling. When I first started, it scared the heck out of me. To compare it to something physical, it was kind of like when I first went rapelling or skydiving. The first time you walk backward off a cliff with a rope in your hand or jump out of an airplane, your adrenaline goes off the chart. Its the same with astral / time travel. The first few times are almost too exciting to accomplish much. After you do it a few dozen times, you calm down a bit and are more able to direct your activities and progress.

Here's a link to the Nexus discussion for those who are interested.

I'm not sure if that link will work, so maybe you should just check the "Through the Looking Glass" forum.

Catching up! Didn't read all the posts yet

When you went back to help your 9 year old self, who went back to help, I guess you now right? At some point you decided to go back to try and advise her?

If I went back to myself when I was young like you did would that mean my life circumstances would change and my outcome now would be different? Would I realize the change; like if I did it tonight would I feel the changes tomorrow or soon?

The reason I want to go back is out of love and caring for me and the people around me, but I don't want to interfere with their destiny. The old magi was right and that's part of the reason of my need to go back.

Do you think you ever went back in time and restarted at a certain point in your life and there was a sort of amnesia about it, you forgot and maybe instead had a sort of deja vue?

I really tried what you told me to do about astral travel but I'm not capable, do you have another way to teach me? Wouldn't it be fun if you came to visit me at night?

Your advice is so helpful I love this!

Fish Kitten, could you please help me understand, I awoke in the early hours one night, my physical body was paralysed, I could feel great "bumpy" surges of energy keep rising up and then subsiding within my body, My immediate thought was that I am going to leave my body, and I still stick with that but think that I grounded myself and prevented it happening by telling myself I must make sure I am breathing first, this thought slowed down the Vibrations. Do you think I was possibly about to leave my body or perhaps had woken whilst returning to my body?

As to age I am 30 and perhaps in 10 years or so I will have more confidence when things such as this happen and not feel the need to check my phsyical body is still functioning.

Hi Angelica. Sorry it took a few days to get back to you. Family emergency. Anyway, to answer your questions...

This is a bit hard to explain, but I'll give it a shot. If it confuses the matter more, please ask more questions. I did make a conscious decision to go back and talk to myself when I was 9. I felt that was the time in my life when I most needed comfort. As to who went back...this trip to visit myself happened about 15 years ago, so it wasn't really the me from now who went back. I think the best way to describe it is that it was the timeless me who went back. Our spirits are timeless, and when we are in that state, we are not necessarily the same calendar age as our bodies. I think it did change my life to some extent, but it is hard to say how much. I think it mostly did what I wanted it to do, which was give aid, comfort, and hope to a little girl in a very difficult situation. About you being unable to accomplish what you want right now...keep trying and keep seeking the path of enlightenment. Lessons of the soul do not always come easily. When you are ready, you will fly. I will look for you in my dreams. If you see a strange blonde person in your dreams and notice the smell of lilacs, it will be me.

Orchidspirit...welcome to Lindaland. I don't think we have spoken before. May your time here bring much joy into your life. It sounds to me like you definitely were either about to take off on an astral travel trip or were just returning. It is kind of scary when it first happens. You don't have to wait until you are 40 for this. The advice I was given was to wait until I was 40 to delve deeply into the Qabala. I have been seeking the path of enlightenment all my life. Some things are just easier and more practical to deal with at a later age. I suspect each person is on an individual track as far as that is concerned. It is just that many of us embark on a spiritual path during our teens or twenties when we are at our most impatient stage of life. We want the world and we want it NOW. It helps to get past that stage before delving too deeply into certain mysteries. However, if you are beginning to notice astral travel is happening naturally, go with it. I totally understand your initial reaction of wanting to make sure your body was still around and functioning. It reminds me of some of my first trips. I have never heard of anyone ever being injured during astral travel. It is really exciting and kind of scary at first, so when you realize it is happening, you tend to wake yourself. That will pass with time if you keep practicing. One more thing...when I first started astal travelling, I used to get sucked into electric lines. There was a couple of those big grey transformers on the lines outside my house on the corner of the block and every time I left my bedroom at night, I would be drawn into them like dust into a vaccuum. That would scare me and I would plop back into my body with a big bounce. Eventually, I learned to calm myself and tell myself that electricity can't hurt me in spirit form, I'm just drawn to the transformers because I have sort of transformed myself into energy. It took a while, but I am never bothered by electric lines any more. I just wanted to share that with you in case you find yourself caught like a kite in the wires. Don't worry...can't possibly hurt you.

I'll be waiting and hoping to see you. If this works than you'll understand why I want to do this. And maybe you can help.

To recognize me I'm the one at night who's bugging God and all the angels and wishing so hard. I wear pink and have lots of covers on my bed with a little lamb.

Hope you're not to scared to pass through my area?

Hmmm...I'm in BC, so I'm a few hours different. I usually sleep from about 1 am until about 8:30 or 9 am your time. My prime time dream travel usually occurs between midnight and 3 am (3 am to 6 am Eastern time). Should work out unless you are up all night.

I wish I could travel back in time to help someone, who doesn't know who I am, from committing suicide. I have not astral travelled before. And the only thing I can do is see my own aura if I concentrate for about 15 mins. Sometimes I have this feeling before I drift off to sleep, that I was sucked away and I would be looking at some scene. But I would always get a shock and wake myself up. Perhaps it's due to tiredness??

i wonder where the astral plane came from . . .dont forget to save the dragons! (they might be suffering somewhere)

i have never time travelled, but i had a visit from the akashic records (by clearing away the egg on top of my head-too bad it doesnt *STAY* gone, the egg i mean) that i think took place back in time (it was like listening to a record, a man chanting and music in the background, like middle eastern music kind of .. .it almost seemed like the record was 'skipping', or the man was very talented at repeating his mantra in the exact same way every time). but i didnt go anywhere, it seemed very obviously 'previously recorded', i was just listening

i think i have time travel type experiences in listening all the time, but maybe i just have a good imagination or see parallel realities. i cant tell. sometimes visual (tv) but again, maybe it's jus the ol imagination .. ..never physically with my physical body. i would worry about the karma of manifesting on a visible level (with meat/animal killing being involved still)

FishKitten, all those astral travelling you mentioned, back in the early days did you figure out how to do it on your own or did you have someone to guide you? I have not had special experiences like that on my own, but it feels scary to try it. The unknown is always scary... So far I have not encountered any teachers who can guide me on this.. i think my friends will all think me as wierd if I ask around..

Actually, Linda Goodman helped me figure it out. I used to talk to her on the phone now and then and we exchanged a few letters. I was always alone when I tried it, though, and I didn't ahve any more information at that time than is presented here in Lindaland. You can't really hurt yourself by trying to Astral travel or time travel. It may take a while for you to become comfortable with it. I used to get all excited as soon as things started going right and I would snap back into my body like a big bump. It doesn't hurt and you can't get lost or anything, so just experiment.

FishKitten, do you think it's mandatory to be vegtitarian to meditate properly and astral travel? Ever since I started eating meat, I feel like I can't even meditate any more. I think my filter's blocked or something. You know that white light you get when you meditate? I think I lost it...

Dean.

i also have been damaged by starting to eat fish again, but during my sister's 2nd pregnancy there seemed to be no other option--those babies sure eat up a lot of energy! (across the miles, even!)

Well, I DO think what we eat (and see and do and think about) influences our vibratory rate, but I don't think any diet is mandatory for connecting to the Nexus of life. In fact, I tend to make more changes after such experiences than before. Plus, although I am regularly a vegetarian, I do eat traditional foods when I am exploring other cultures. That frequently includes fish, and sometimes other flesh foods. I doubt that you have actualy lost the light, Dean. My guess is that there is something in your life that is demanding your attention and nothing else will work very well for you until you address it. Would you be willing to try an experiemnt? Go to a quiet place for half an hour. No phones, no TV, no interruptions. As you sit and contemplate, imagine a path. See yourself walking the path. Meet a bear on the path. Now please describe for me the look and feeling of the path. Where is it? Why that path? what kind of bear did you meet? What happend next? Just explore the idea and tell me as completely as possible what you experienced. It may help illuminate the blockage you are feeling. Only if you feel inclined to participate, of course!

Batgirl...it is so lovely that you have such a close relationahip with your sister.
