THOUGHTS are like a labyrinth.

Perhaps we can find the answers not by thinking, but through feeling?

------------------
If only we could feel and understand all each others feelings....then EMPATHY and LOVE would be law in itself.

Thoughts are like a labyrinth.

For me, thoughts are the product of the brain. Much like breathing is the product of the lungs, and movement a product of the muscles.

The brain can be trained just like other organs. You can control your lungs, legs, why not your brain? It does not function autonomously. It can, but much like breathing, you can take over.

Emotions are less out of our control, but we don't have to react to emotions. Thinking and feeling are inherent parts of the human experience, through them we KNOW and name what is going on around us. We make associations with phenomenon based on our experiences.

I think thinking and feeling is a good answer for why we are here. We are here to think and feel. We're not supposed to understand why we're here, if we did, that would ruin the mystery. Isn't it more fun to make up your own meaning for being here?

We are also here to suffer. Is suffering an emotion, or a thought, or is it something higher, a spiritual state of being? Can you make meaning out of your suffering, or do we let it overwhelm us, defeat us, and bury us; and by this we move nowhere in the spiritual path, doomed to repeat the same lessons until we can trasmute our suffering into joy.

Perhaps, then, it would be better if I said.....that to go by our thoughts alone separates us from the whole.

We need to tame all our senses.

Thank you for making me think, BR.

I think a lot of things might "separate" us from the whole, but that this separation is merely an illusion, the connection is always there, if we simply tune in.

We are an experiment, we are given many traits to see how we create our own destiny with those and what we can achieve according to our wants.

This is what I think but, what do I really know? I still haven't read 1/2 the books you guys have probably read, on the other hand, I am not so thrill about taking someone else's "words" I like to come up with conclusions myself from my own experience.

So, I'll say it again, I must be an experiment gone wrong because so many people tell me so many wonderful things of my future but I am still not satisfied.

(not depress, just still thirsty for better answers/outcomes)

What is life?
It is the flash of a firefly in the night.
It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime.
It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses

Why does a person even get up in the morning?
You have breakfast, you floss your teeth so you'll have healthy gums
in your old age, and then you get in your car and drive down I-10
and die. Life is so stupid I can't stand it.

But right now as we speak, children are being raped and abused. Hopefully more will be done to stop it now that Madeleine's campaign has brought so much attention to the fact so many children go missing. I have been reading about the latest sighting in Morocco- the lady who saw the girl with the flash in her eye and new it was Madeleine- very convincing. My heart is aching right now thinking about her; feeling so anxious that she must be found SOON.

And I keep thinking about how we can eradicate child abuse for once and for all and wipe sexual abuse off the face of the Earth. It is TORTURE.

NOW WITH THIS IN MIND, I AM SORRY BUT I CAN'T jump around euphorically saying we've all got to learn to enjoy life, that life has justice and that;s that.

Life is PAIN.

I think the question is, how can we stop the pain??

And yes, I probably would be a lot better off turning a blind eye to it all.
There is a part in the novel "The Beach" where they decide to turn their backs on a man who is dying for their own peace of mind. This just about sums up the majority of society. They'd rather not believe. They use denial as a mechanism. Or they would rather accuse the innocent people than face up to the horror of where an innocent, beautiful child may have ended up.

If more people cared, if more people try, then we'll see the day they no longer cry.

And turn "sadness into gladness".

But first we must sacrifice our own needs and our own peace of mind in order to face up to reality and do something to truly make a difference.

What is the meaning of life????

Perhaps it does have a meaning, but one thing's for sure.

It doesn't have to be like this.

I look at the world and I notice it's turning
While my guitar gently weeps
With every mistake we must surely be learning
Still my guitar gently weeps

I don't know how you were diverted
you were perverted too
I don't know how you were inverted
no one alerted you

There is no good reason for suffering. There is little justice in the world. Everything does NOT happen for a reason.

As long as children and animals are tortured every single day, no one can persuade me otherwise.

I hope either we'll change it, or it'll all end soon.

Listens,

Relax.

Perhaps I must also add

When I pay tithe, I pay tithe.
When I cry, I cry
Whan I am joyous, I am joyous
When I am in my neutral space, I am in my neutral space

....

God never gives any one more pain than they can bear. Trust me on that. Why do some people go in coma when they die? Its been made that way. Hope that eases your heart.

There you go, that is telling you right there that people need to take action and LTT is right about stopping people from taking advantage of the few weaker ones that can not take care of themselves, example:kids and animals. (although we all know there is more)

But how?
