well I thought I'd just add my two cents!! Guffaw.
I have had the same experience with cats walking on my blanket at night, and then like a heavy spot on my feet. It really feels like one! But nothing there...
My family and I also used to see a little girl and a woman in our old apartment in NY, who resembled my mom and i - to the point where my dad mistook them for us one day when he saw the woman "making coffee" in the kitchen! They used to see a little girl wander around and go check on me but id be asleep. And things that needed to be fixed would be mysteriously fixed before we had a chance to.
That stuff doesn't happen to me anymore. I wish it would, its pretty interesting, and I don't really have any fear of it.
Oh, and I'm so glad that other people have heard that loud voice right before you fall asleep! It usually is like, "Hey!" Or some short sentence. Scares the s#$% out of me.
Anyway just sharing. I'd love to hear more of other people's experiences.

Ayumi... I get that too. Just before I fall asleep, I'll hear a strange, short sentence, or someone calling my name. Most of the time it is my mother. Which is strange because she is alive and well...

*I've got to stop reading this stuff before I go to bed. I don't think anything of it during the day, but at night I get creeped out!

Creepy stories! Yikes... I've never heard of the coins that's pretty cool. I have a couple of experiences that are weird. Like a couple of months ago, my mom was at the grocery store with my nephew and there weren't any people nearby. Anyway, a pack of hot dogs somehow behind them got flung into the middle of the aisle. like far out in the aisle like someone threw them. They heard it and turned around and no one was there. Then a couple weeks after that, my sister and I had almost the exact same thing happen to us. We were in CVS buying shampoo and what not and we were walking down the aisle no one else and we hear WHAM and we turn around and in the middle of the aise a bottle of shampoo is on the ground. we were too far away to knowck it over and it freaked us both out. I guess ya had to be there my story isn't as good as everyone else's oh well.

WOW! I luv the coins stories! Thats really facinating!!

I've had a couple experiences myself. It's been years since i experienced anything and then today it happens... basically along the lines of your story Cappychic (which im also a cappy - ooooo ) I was in a Fred Meyers shopping for the company. I had gone down the office supply isle for tab dividers. I put them in my cart and went off to check other isles. After about 5 minutes i headed back toward the direction of the Office supply isle and when passing by, dividers flew off the shelf and on to the floor. I stopped completly in my tracks. Staring down the isle wondering what that was all about. So i decided to head down the isle thinking someone/something was trying to tell me something. I sat there for like another 5 minutes contemplating "why" i was drawing to that isle - but couldnt figure anything out. so i left.
When i was younger (about 8-9) i had a couple friends who's step father was born into into an indian tribe and has been followed by spirits his whole life. No matter where he lives, they are there. I remember being in thier house late at night, just us girls (parents were out- an we knew nothing of his spirit visitors at that point) We kept seeing shadows in the hallway walking back and forth to each of the bedrooms. We got spooked and decided to remain on the couch in the living room till their parents came home. When they did come home we told them all about it, knowing they would think we were crazy, but they didnt. Thats when Carlos sat down and told us about his experiences growing up and how they follow him, but never do any harm. And explained that what we saw was real, and that if at anytime we were scared but it, to tell them to leave and they would. That very night, all three of us lay on the floor of thier bedroom, we were supposed to be going to sleep, but you know how lil girls are at night with friends over. Anyways we sat there talking and all of the sudden the rocking chair began to rock all on its own as if someone was sitting there. None of us were near it. But at this point we knew all about the spirit and were not scared by it at all. We kinda sat there still and quite. More in awe than anything. That was the day i became a true believer in sprits. I remember we named the spirit, but now for the life of me i cant remember the name. lol.

My hunny and his ma(PixieDust) have some stories as well. I'll have to tell her about this thread and have her post a few.

I just love this stuff ... keep the stories coming!

AngelofHope, that was a great story. Thanks for sharing. I'm definitely a believer myself.
I've had many strange and unexplainable things happen to me, ever since I was a child. Most of it good but one experience was quite horrible. Something similar happened to me like with what happened to Ayumi where Ayumi was saying how it felt as if a cat was walking on her bed and laying on her?
When I was living in Bayridge, Brooklyn my roomie had told me that there was a spirit living in the apartment. So I thought ok no biggie, I can handle that.
Well for the next six months my life would be a living hell.
At first it didn't seem like such a big deal, I would be lying in bed on my back at first and all of a sudden it would feel as if a cat was curled up on my shins. It was just the weirdest sensation. Alright so I then decided to turn on my side to shake the feeling I just had. Now this was just the creepiest feeling. It felt like someone was touching me very lightly with their fingertips from my calves all the way to my shoulder then it would stop and start all over again. I didn't know what to do. I was totally puzzled by it and tried hard to rationalize away, but could not think of what it could be. Well this would go on every night but things got even more intense. Some nights I would just wake up out of a deep sleep because someone would be screaming in my ear. Other nights there would be banging underneath my bed which seemed impossible because there was boxes crammed under it, so there would be no room for anyone to fit. I would also have these really horrible dreams like something out of a hellraiser movie.
I definitely had the impression that who or whatever had lived there was murdered, but I never asked the landlord. I did have a dream where this person revealed themselves to me.
It was a tall wiry looking man with long dark hair. He kind of reminded me of Howard Stern!LOL
Thinking about that experience now, I think it helped me become a stronger person and I feel if it were to ever happen to me again, I'm armed and ready!
Spiritually speaking!lol

"Everything that we see or seem, is but a dream within a dream". POE

Wow!
I have had a spirit experience at a small cottage I lived in with my cousin and my small son.
I had a feeling, as soon as I entered there.. of something...
At night, 'he'd' touch me. I felt silly at first, I thought whatever, I am just in a new place and scared.. but I really felt pressure on my body... and occasionally it would be sexual.
The next night, I felt prerssure around my neck and on my chest.
I thought 'THAT'S IT!!" and I wrote this big long note, which I read quietly outloud, addressed to 'him.'
I said he is welcome to stay, but to be repectful. I said basically 'don't mess with me.' and encouraged him to move on to where he should be.
I left the note on my bedside table.
That first week we set the rules, and I lived there about eight months, and only heard from him occassionally after that.
By the way, I knew he was a man, a mifddle aged man.

Wow!

Thanks for sharing....all of you!

I am certian that it is my dead father-in-law. I saw him standing over his son while he slept. I was so tired that I said to him out loud.."that's fine, but I'm too tired for you to haunt my ass tonight"...he disappeared after I said that! I had an electrician come in and look at the wiring in the basement and he said that he could find nothing wrong...yet everytime I go down there the lights flicker! And I found two pennies lying on top of the laundry again yesterday!

I have had the stuff flying off the shelf thing happen to me for years! If a book falls it is for me to read. Sometimes I will not remember my list and as I walk through the store the items that I truely need will fall off the shelf to remind me of what I needed! Weird!

I have had the feeling that someone is sitting on my bed also...not a cat a person. I have also had the bed move like there is someone looking for something underneth it.

Anyone else have weird stuff they would like to talk about...your stories are cool and make me feel like this is ok to talk about!

Love to you all,
Irish

Sometimes i get my mother in laws junk mail. She used to live in my city. The other day I came home and was sorting thru the mail. There was a thick envelope at the bottom. I got to it and there it was, in the return address window was taped two pennies. It was some chaity thing for her. Ive never seen that before but of course i thought how funny , i was reading about coins here. I chose to take it as a good omen.

Oh yeah. Definitely a good omen!
Paper money too!lol
Just last week I was walking in the park with my baby wishing I had some cash so we could go out to eat. Mind you, this was a very windy day and not even a minute had gone by and I look down and there was a twenty dollar bill.
I did a double take. I couldn't believe it!
That's never happened to me before!
Well you know I swooped it up before the wind could carry it away!lol
P.S. Loved your story Pixie!
That's something I never thought of doing.
Communicating on paper. Great idea!
Just another quick story here if you don't mind.
I was working at the Humane Society of NY and while I was working there, I was told of a story about a man named "Andy" who had committed suicide. One day when they were fixing the elevator they found human remains. Now whether they are the remains of Andy I don't know but everyone who knew about the story seemed to think so. Anyway, Andy had seemed to be sort of the "caretaker" of everybody there. I guess he liked the atmosphere with all the animals. You do get a warm comforting feeling when you are there.
When I used to work at the Humane Society it always seemed as if someone unseen was looking out for you or just curiously observing.
Workers there had a lot of weird stuff happen to them.
Well I finally had an encounter with Andy. A friendly one you could say!
When I'd start the day in my mind I would say hello to him and ask him if he could say hello to me in some way that I would know it was him.
Well,I was finishing up for the day, mopping the floor in the basement and all of a sudden the cats and dogs got strangely quiet.
I really didn't think of it at first then all of a sudden with no one around, something tugs at my ponytail. Very lightly. It wasn't done in a malicious manner, just in a playful sort of way, and I started laughing and said out loud OK Andy! Hello to you! Meanwhile I had goose bumps up and down my neck!
And that was that. He said his hello and went back to his business!
I had the impression that Andy was a well meaning person, he had a good heart and a sense of humor to boot!
