A few weekends ago my son and I were watching DVD's in the afternoon. We had taken one flim out and so that there was no signal, just a black screen. We both saw for just a few seconds a young man in his mid-twenties, with a baseball cap on peering out at us. He even blinked! He was in the bottom corner of the screen and the room behind him was not our livingroom.
This freaked out my son! We have not seen it again in the TV but I have seen shadows walking around here from time to time. My son swears that he has seen a man standing in my room at the side of my bed looking out the window. And their are coins all over my house, I find at least 3-5 in the living room everyday.Anyone else with similar experiences?

That is freaky! The coin thing, though... I've had an experience similar to that. I used to live in this apartment and I talked to my landlord a few weeks after I moved out and he told me that what I did with the pennies was funny. I had no idea what he was talking about. He told me that in every room there was a penny on the floor on either side of the doorway. Neatly placed. A year later I moved back to that apartment, but downstairs this time and for a long time I would find pennies placed like that in the doorways. Weird! IP: Logged |

future_uncertain-That is weird! How many coins did you find while you lived there? Was it a daily thing? weekly? I think that the doorways thing is really interesting. trillan- I will keep everyone posted. I don't remember, exactly... that was almost five years ago and I had just had a baby, so some of the details of my life from that period are a little... hazy! (New mommy sleep-deprivation--BTW, when does that finally stop?!) 
But when I found coins, there were always two, one in each corner of the doorway. I also found them like that on shelf ledges. I still can't get over that image in your TV! I've had lots of "weirdo" things happen all my lif-- sometimes I wonder if I'm being followed! But I've never seen anything. I'm not sure if I could handle it! The coin thing is kind of curious, though. Why coins, ya know? Definitely keep us posted, Irish Eyes! IP: Logged |

Wow Irish Eyes!
That was some experience. Just reading that made the hairs on the back of my neck rise.
I've never experienced anything of that nature but a lot of other supernatural or strange things have occurred to me that I've tried to reason away but can't? I've heard party sounds,have been touched, and have seen people in my dreams who I know are dead and communicate to me when I'm asleep but I don't know how I would react or feel if I'd saw what you saw. Did you get any impressions from it? I'm just curious.
Speaking of pennies future_uncertain after reading that story it reminded me of when I was young and I threw a penny into the attic and I heard it hit the ground not in the attic but the floor below it. DOO WEE OOO OOO! Weird! Peace and Love IP: Logged |

Freaky stuff!!!HOwever, I must say that something doesn't add up here. You mention that behind this ghost, the image wasn't your living room. I thought that when you see a ghost, you only see the image and not what is around it. You see it as it is.
NOw, now don't get me wrong here, I am not saying I don't believe you, all I am saying is it doesn't make sense. Now it is time to admit something. For as long as I can remember, I think I am also seeing ghosts. Let me explain: When I wake up during the night, perhaps to go to the toilet, I see black shadows floating around my room going in all directions. At first I always think it is just my mind playing tricks on as I have just woken up and my brain isn't awaken yet. But then afterwards, they are still there. Even today. So am I seeing ghosts or what? ------------------

How do you feel when you see these shadows?

And Yang.. we are talking about occurances here that sort of defy any logic being applied to them.... so to try is sort of defeating..
Could it be that it was your living room when he lived there? An impression/imprint in time? If you both saw it, it's pretty interesting.... I mean, even if only one of you saw it, it is still significant...I have often heard that ghosts/entities will communicate simple messages through the manipulation of objects.. especially coins.
Take it as a symbol of good luck...

Sometimes I feel that they should go away and leave me in peace and at other times nothing.
I have tried to communicate to them but to no avail. Not even a word. That is why I am confused by them-whether they are real or not. Maybe I am communicating the wrong way?IP: Logged |

Neato! This thread makes me miss whatever was in the house I used to live in 4 years ago...I just miss having the presence of someone not in human form. The house I live in is fairly new, so as far as I've experienced no one is here in spirit form of some sort. Kind of boring. In the old house, we had a spirit or whatever who would walk up the stairs every night. Couldn't see him (and I just knew it was a him), but definitely could hear him, almost the same time every night, and you could just sense there was someone there standing at the top staring at you (my bedroom was at the top of the stairs). Hey everyone!This is all very interesting, especially about the comments about seeing dark shadows. For some time now, every now and then, I've caught dark shadows in the corners of my eyes during the day and the night. Just recently though, I was in the front porch on a beautiful morning and I saw a white one! This really excited me more than the dark ones I've seen and for some reason I felt unusually euphoric and happy. The flowers in the front lawn seemed so much brighter as did the grass and the sky. It was a very unique occurrence.
Now, my friends have talked about the same experiences of seeing shadows and white lights in the corners of their eyes. We have come to the hypothesis that the white ones are in the spirit worlds as high energy and of a much happier vibration and that the dark ones are in the spirit worlds as a lower frequency still needing to get through certain stages to pass on to the higher state. Don't be alarmed, now. I don't mean that the shadows are exclusively evil or negative in any way, though at times they may be -- and in this case your feelings would be highly alarming. I'm just sharing my experiences to see if they blend or mesh with yours in any way. The shadows are sometimes just not fully along the cycle we've all gone through in the heavens after death. At least, that's what my friends and I have come up with.

WOW!...sounds like several of us experience strange things daily.I do have a new development...I have found more pennies...I even found one in the ash bucket outside my back door...it is wet here and there where no foot prints coming or going. Well, since we are kind of on the topic of haunted electronics-I have a phone in the corner of my room that hasn't worked for months, but it still has a red light that blinks when someone calls. But a couple of days ago, it kept on blinking as though we were getting calls every couple of minutes, even though no one was calling us. It never did that before, and has stopped since that day. I dunno, it was sort of weird. It's also in the same corner of the room from which a friend swears she heard a deep voice say "Are you awake?" one time when she was sleeping over. It was really early in the morning, and I was half-awake too, although all I remember is her asking me if I heard it. The weird thing is, I've never felt anything towards that corner, I'm sitting next to it right now since I'm at my computer. IP: Logged |

sometimes I think some people may be in tuned sort of speak to the entitiies/spirits at that moment.
Yang maybe the reason you feel you are not able to tune in is because it may be a residual haunting? An event that has occured and keeps repeating over and over? Just a thought I'm throwing out to you.
I remember living in Brooklyn and the place was haunted and the same thing occurred every night. I would get into bed and I'd be lying on my back then all of a sudden I'd feel as if a cat was curled up on my shins.There's no other way I can describe that feeling then I'd turn on my side and it felt as if someone were touching me very lightly with their fingertips from my calf to my shoulder and it would continue over and over. Sometimes it would be under my bed and I'd feel as if someone or something were banging really hard although this would've been impossible because I had all this stuff crammed underneath my bed. This would occur for six months straight while I was there. It just repeated over and over.
When you see the shadows do you see them the same time every time?

After reading this topic, I just realized that I too have been finding alot of coins around my house. Like ALOT of coins around 3-5 every day at the least and it also reminded me of a sylvia brown episode of the montel williams show that i had seen where she mentioned that leaving coins is something a spirit does to let you know it's there, she also had said they communicate through electronic devices like a childs toys and such. Which also has happened to me. It had to be something Irish Eyes, if both you and your child had seen it without mentioning it to eachother. I don't know what it could be though. on my coins I hadn't really thought about it because there was always coins around falling out of my husbands pants when he lived here but he isn't here much and i have no money. I suggested to my sister the other day that i was going to start putting it in a jar just to see how much there is and in a couple weeks, i'll update here and tell you all how much.IP: Logged |

Irish Eyes~ if possible I would suggest getting a book or two by James VanPraagh, or go to a book store and check 'em out. I just found a couple of his books used last night at a bookstore, flipping through there is a section on how Spirits can affect electricity in a variety of ways. Many spirit people are able to influence the electrical force field of protons and electrons and effect changes in various electrical objects throughtout the house. This is usually most prevalent if the deceased was someone of a very high emotional caliber. Emotional energy can be used as a conductor. He touches on blinking lights, radios, music, clocks, telephones and answering machines, appliances and computers. Re: TV's~ Spirits have been known to effectively scramble pictures on the TV set. There have been cases when the spirit's face as appeared on the screen or the televiion turns on and off my itself at strange hours or odd times of day. I am just learning, but would really suggest checking his books out, they should answer your questions, I would suggest also
"grounding and protecting" yourself, I'll be typing "how to's" in FFA under a topic having to do with finding your spirit guides. I'm not even sure why it is so important to "ground" & "protect" yourself, but Van Praagh makes sure it is ALWAYS done, which for me is REALLY important to learn as that is the one thing I have always been scared to death of, attracting lower energies, so I shut this part 100% off, but am now learning proper ways to deal with this. I haven't seen him on the tube lately?
He use to have a show on in the afternoon. He must be on tour or something. Sylvia is the bomb! I love her as well. I went to one of her seminars and found it to be very uplifting. I also know someone who had a reading with her and it cost them over $700.

I have an update on the coin thing!Thursday I was in the basement doing my laundry. The lights would not come on so I thought that a braker blew. Since it was 1:30 or so in the afternoon it was bright enough to see. There are two lighbulbs in the basement and they sometimes flicker but never go out at the same time. I flipped the breaker and nothing happened. I checked the bulbs, they where fine. I went to the washer to pull the clothes out and the light on the other side of the room began to flicker. I thought "I am going to have to get that thing fixed, it's like a disco down here".
I started the washer again and started filling it with dirty clothes. When I went to pick up the basket of clean wet clothes there were 2 pennies neatly placed on top of the wash. I had been standing no more than a foot from that basket the whole time I was down there! I thanked whoever had placed them there and picked up the basket as I walked under the flickering bulb it stopped flickering and was fine. Weird! I think that this is my dead father-in-law. There are things happening that I just know are him. I just wish I got the whole coin thing! Love to you all,

I live next to a nursing home. I know people die there because I see the ambulances come thru from time to time. I think the entities hang around for a while. My experiences are usually sounds of some sort.Sounds in the house that don't make sense. Anyway I do tell them that its ok to pass thru but they cannot stay as this is our home now. It really doesn't happen too much any more. Maybe you can ask him or it to leave if you want that to happen.IP: Logged |
