Oh my God, Fayte!

I was just reading some of the posts I missed on this thread.

I'm so sorry to hear about your family's troubles with alcohol.

Its overwhelming, and I dont know what to say.

But my heart goes out to you.

Pot really does put up a glass wall between people, as you mentioned. I've lost many friends to this popular drug. No, they did not die. And yes, we are still friends. What I really mean is that these friends are literally 'lost' because they are not the same people when they are high. The become unreliable, lazy, and they let me down.

Thanks for your comment.....it means so much to me to be "understood".....this is exactly what I have felt and feel.

Thankyou so much for supporting me on this.....I have people here in Ireland who understand where I am coming from, but I have found few on this forum that do.

Lost indeed.....is an appropriate word..... . In the past I helped many who were lost, but these days I have to protect my health and energy, and of course break the patterns of the past.

It means so much to be heard, doesnt it?

Bless you !!

And for you guys that were asking me if the young girl took anything else. I asked her father's best friend last night was she using other drugs.....

The answer was "NO". When I asked her why her eyes looked so vacant and empty, she replied "that is what being stoned is Sue". She went on to tell me that she had seen her that day and that she looked "terrible".

Now is someone gonna tell my that pot isnt harmful....aaaahhh come on guys....its already killing this girls, what was, a beautiful bright Sagi spirit. My friend said she looks "bloody terrible".

So please dont tell me its a "good" drug.

Maybe for some......but not for this poor creature.

God bless her

Many of those who support Pot used them in the pre ELF and pre Fluroride days. Hence their systems can manage it.

Youngsters today must avoid Pot, alcohol and nicotine like avoiding plague because the use of chemicals such as fluoride in the water is already affecting the Pineal gland. This means lesser connection to the divine source already. Electromagnetic low frequency waves emitted by billions of microprocessors steadily weaken the auras of the meditationally challenged. Dark Forces add more powerful ELF waves after showing sexually charged advertizements, dances, movies and so on to plant mind numbing material throught the opened root chakras.

On top of this all, if kids do pot, then it is bye bye to the pineal gland and bye bye to the soul. Thats why they seem so dead, because the soul cannot express itself through the warm emotions of love, compassion, enthusiasm and spontaniety. Nor can they ever be alert or aware. They become zombies
Alcohol + Pot will double the ill effect, and adding speed/ecstacy or nicotine will jam more and more nerve cells.

If you love your kids, keep pot/alcohol/ nicotine away and make them "abuse" Vitamin C instead.

HSC Thank You.

Sue
You already know that I do not approve of letting any drug(s) control one's life.
It is an individual thing and some folks should never do any...or drink...or even do prescribed drugs.

And the young, still not fully physically mature should definitely not!
Nor should pregnant women.

You know that I do NOT condone the use of pot or anything else when it rules a person's life.
So saying no one understands...
Not fair.
I do.
But to lump any and all drug use under the banner of evil is contrary to certain valid uses...and implies that anyone who uses any drugs is stupid or evil.
Many Native Americans and other cultures throughout time have/do use drugs to enhance Psychic Vision/Vision Quests etcetera...
Yes..meditation can also bring on these altered states...but so can "carefully monitored" use of certain "natural plant" drugs. Not the refined and processed highly concentrated kinds.
We have actual receptors in our brains for THC and certain other "naturally" occurring chemicals.
Why would we have them if they were meant to stay dormant?
Shamans..Druids..Mystics..Oracles..etcetera...have and still do use these "shortcuts" for millenia.
For them it was/is not to "party"..but to reach the altered states quicker.

But I do agree...
Drug use, or alchohol use is not a good choice for many, and for those who use it "specifically and always" to party down or to escape life's troubles. It will only further unbalance and unbalanced psyche.

Apologies Sue
I just got a wee bit overwrought over some things..
BUT....
Quote:
.....I have people here in Ireland who understand where I am coming from, but I have found few on this forum that do.

>>>>Ok...I just felt you were saying I, and some others posting here "so far" do not undertand. But yes..if you refer to all LL..then I agree.
Quote:
And I suspect the ones that defend it are the ones that use it......am I right......yes, no?
>>>>>>>That "felt" taunting and tongue in cheek..at least to me...that subltly implied that only freaks and stoneheads would "openly" defend "it's" use.

Perhap I was/am overeacting.

But no..NOT all who defend it are users! Some were...some still are.
Many of the stoners of the 60s and 70s...have quit.
Or do it once or twice a year at a party. But alot just got bored with it in time, and quit.
Was not worth the money or the hassles....or the spaced out feeling just got old and boring.
Quote:
So please dont tell me its a "good" drug.
>>>>>It is neither GOOD nor BAD.
Good/Bad is determined more by the how and when and the who uses it.
Quote:
Maybe for some......but not for this poor creature.
>>>>That bit made more sense Sue...but negated the previous comments of it being bad...or implication of being always bad for anyone.
And as for it "killing" her...I believe she has deeper issues and is blaming the pot.
Kinda the old "the Devil made me do it" routine. I do not buy into that it is the core/base of her mental/emotional troubles. Oh yes..it can most certainly be ascerbating an already psychotic personality or depressed personality...but it did NOT cause her mental troubles.
Apologies..but it just struck a nerve with me...
Just sounded too much like the old "killer weed" scare propaganda films of the 50s. A pack of lies they forced at us in school and we all knew they were talking bullcrap.
Of course these were/are also the same ultra conservative types were also attacking comic books as the cause of juvenile delinquency...so go figures.

Sorry if you feel I have overreacted.

I am trying to make a clear case for both sides.
Both sides have valid arguments.

This is not a black and white issue.

And I agree..for this girl...with her seemingly underlying emotional issues and her young age..peer pressure perhaps too...
NO..
It is not a thing she should be doing.

hello everyone,

I did not mean in my last post to condone the use of drugs and that includes pot,
(except under special circumstances)
Recreational pot use will rob you of your ambition.

There is a bigger problem out there and that is alcohol. The worst thing about it is its legal. To all of you young college students out there just hear me out

My daughter attends ERAU.
If you get one DUI you can kiss any hope of becoming a pilot goodbye. This weakend a schoolmate killed himself because of a DUI. He was only 20 years old. I am heartsick about this. What a terrible waste of precious life.
We all make mistakes but this one must have pulled the rug out from under him and I can only imagine his desperation.

If you drink and especially if you're a heavy drinker its only a matter of time before something happens. Maybe not this but with alcohol its never good and usually embarrassing.

If you're going to drink, drink responsibly
And please no drinking and driving.

hi sue and all,
i was thinking of this young girl yesterday and it occurred to me that maybe if you might have something she may be able to do on a volunteer basis - that you feel, she may like - this could be of help for her. as a sagi myself, at 16, volunteering/working helped me feel "useful" and being that i'm older now - i realize that at 16, i had a lot of likes and i actually dived into what i liked even if it wasn't everything but now, I realize that if i don't dive into what i like, somehow, someway - it becomes very easy to let myself be influenced because there was, is, and will probably always be some sort of hope and belief - especially in the purpose of the moment, time, place, person, situation. THIS is where the suggestion of volunteering, working, etc. comes in to incorporate that ever present "hope" and "belief" so many of us have. Also, sue are you a teacher or tutor to her?

as far as the use of marijuana - what a touchy subject! I find it amazingly odd for anyone to function on the drug when functioning at their place of employment or when handling important person-to-person business. Conversations may have a "lifted" quality to them but certainly not grounded and certainly not strong enough to hold that firm/fair listening/speaking quality - at least, not at the moment said person is under the influence.

I DO indulge in smoking pot but I absolutely find it a waste to smoke it and think i can physically function at my best outside of my home or anywhere i have to handle my business because of paranoia, attention span, and flighty focus (it's enough to be hard on self but add that drug and it's multiplied 1000 times because all of sudden, the responsibility factor feels like tons of bricks that i'm trying to catch and lay in it's place - the drug doesn't turn those things off, it enhances them) UNLESS you have a purpose (time management - best at the end of your day, in the privacy of your own domain to which it encourages meditative abilities without the sometimes lethal affects of permanently incorporating various sorts of outside influences sans own ability) in what you are doing - one that is not consciously destructive to self or others but with the intention of creating, producing, healing, brain-storming/problem solving, etc.

you said the young lady was 16! wow - we can't really say that she will continue this habit though. at 16, i didn't even consider smoking anything or taking anything (mostly because of witnessing the affects of drugs on people in my environment - btw, it is said that those who start on marijuana graduate to heavier drugs to which THIS is ONE of the KEY reasonings behind condeming the use of marijuana) and certainly didn't criticize others because of their habits but now at 28, i smoke a little bit in the confines of my home.

first of all, it costs money to smoke. second of all, where do you go at 16 to smoke. third, does she ever smoke alone or does she only smoke with others (THIS is important to know). fourth, many individuals who are on drugs at 16 have other issues going on that haven't been addressed in a "i can get through this", "i can work with this", "i can fix this", "i have a part in this" way and most probably not while they are high so, i would suppose that would make it a means of escapism. there are many things to consider in this situation.

HOWEVER, as far as this young lady goes - a combination of influence and boredom sound like the issue here. I DO have to say that I like the fact that she recognizes that she has a "problem" from her own observation, not someone else's. It seems to me, that admitting that and talking with you, she is hopeful and has belief in something - most especially, in what she is capable of DOING. THAT would be interesting to discover where her hope and beliefs lie because it looks like she is ready to begin pursuing them.

I have seen too many folks go from alcohol straight to meth etcetera, more often than from pot to other drugs.
But of course any drug or alcohol can be a "gateway" to other things.
But most pot users I have known stayed with it or quit eventually.

Fatye!

All I have to say is you know what you are talkin' bout!

And you have provided an "objective" view on the subject with knowledge, expereince and intuitive feeling!

I really beleive and feel there is way more going on with this girl that "pot." For those of us who have made it through and have "grown up" to be productive, functioning individuals in society, it is a pity to not see the whole picture.

Sue:

I admire your soul-felt desire to help this young girl!!!!!!There are very knowledgable souls on this fourm with a hell of alot of excellent information and experience and I know you will take all information you have gathered and make the best of it! After all, she was drawn to you and you to her for a REASON!!!!!!

Yes Terri, there is a lot more going on for the girl than "pot". There is family baggage.

Her mother is a stonehead and so was her father until very recently.....

That is what she has grown up with.....no connection.....as I said before being left hanging......

She has learned that using pot is good....that it is okay, cos mummy an daddy did it !!

And I have myself lived long enough and been around enough people to have "seen" what this drug can do to peoples morale, spirit and bodies. I have myself used this drug enough to know it had a very adverse effect on me and my man, physically and mentally.

The girl's father told me her mother was so off her case, so blasted a lot of the time, she didnt even bother to buy her daughter clothes for almost a year, never gave her any affection or offered support to her.....

Too stoned !!

And I have a feelling she actually "picked up" after talking to me that i was clear and drug-free.....one of the reasons she was drawn to me......

Well, I would have to say that this is something that I choice to do when I was fifteen and not my parents. Mother never could handle POT smoking, but yet she thought she could handle her booze though.(Not)
I come from a family that made all the wrong choices because of all the filters and screens that they choice to use and mask themselves from their pains in life.

One thing is very true here and it's that we're all different, yet of the same soul!!!!

This lead me to some pot smoking of my own.

Knowing that something was really wrong with the programing that I was getting and there was no love here. I went for some calm and piece of mind, balance!!! It got me through and taught me that I had some really BIG issues to deal with and heal in my life and so the journey of s-elf begin.

I feel I have seen and spent most of my life with people that had rasied themselves with Drugs and Boozes to last me a life time. To much wallowing in their pain and never changing anything for themselves. This was one of the BIGGEST CHALLENGES in my life, not to go down the same garden path as they.

I see everyones path as a journey of many teachings and lessons. She is a very lucky girl to have found you along this road and she by coming into your life.

Just maybe if she clears her head long enough to feel this pain, she will be her own success story and clean-up her Family Legacy!!!

Sounds like she just needs some love, Good friend in you,(not a parent)a friend to look up to and a guide to show her the way. Just getting some time away from it all. Some reinforcement that everything she has done so far is O.K and that it's time for that Change and growth to move beyond this way of life and programing.

Touch her soul, for the answers are there!!!

Lots of Love Sue!!!!

Yes Solane....
You have done well!
It is not an easy thing to do.

This girl needs someone she can trust...
But who will not judge her.
I was there at about her age.
My 84 year old beloved friend rescued me.
She even shared a joint with me so she could understand why I was doing it.
I did not quit until later.
But she explained moderation to me.
And self respect.

I immediately started with those lessons.

And I learned and changed as I was ready to...with gentle loving guidance from her...

Without her judging me.

Love You "V" Wherever you are!
