I think AG's explanation comes the closest to the answer-based on my life experiences. Same stuff happening time after time until I finally 'get it' then it stops happening. It's always something though. (smile)------------------ Sun Virgo, moon Pisces, Libra rising, mercury venus 12th house all conjunct, Mars Leo. IP: Logged |

Yes! I think they do....It may not be apparent at first, especially where bad experiences are concerned. We tend to think 'why me?'. It is only later that we realize how important they were to our growthSun, Venus- Capricorn Cancer Rising Cancer Moon IP: Logged |

AG I think these recurring messages are often vastly overlooked, as most of us are running on subconscious urges, and not excercising free will. I see this issue cropping up in romantic/sexual relationships. People repeat the same relationship over and over. Here it is especially difficult to see the message, to exercise free will, because passion is such a strong primal force that can quench all reason, even in the most logical of sorts. The hard part is, figuring out what the message IS!!! Sometimes we see these patterns, the same situations crop up, but its so difficult to figure out what we need to learn, how we need to grow to break the pattern and move to a 'better' place. Generally speaking, thinking things happen for a reason is very comforting psychologically. Who wants to live in a world where nothing really matters? A happy person will almost always think their life is significant. So my opinion is, whether or not things happen for a reason, its a healthy attitude that condones happiness. IP: Logged |

of course things always happen for a reason...even by the very act of choosing to believe that they do not, one is affirming that they do. to not believe in something actively, is to make its opposite exist. therefore, true indifference to the meaning of circumstances and events would indicate a more pronounced position on the chaotic nature of happenstance. and even a pattern can be found in chaos. otherwise there would be no organized universe, such as it is.
