Purity
in its Passionate RAW and Vital
Stirring persuasion~

Passionata

Crucified on the alter of Passion
this Flight

Risen~Crimson

this breast; plush-velvet insides

gleaming, sheening,

burning

burning

burning

a hole in an emptiness
that no amount of thirst could quench

I'm floating
above

yet here, yes truly
but no, not really~ a witness

taking it all in

ClOSED IN

Suffocated in benality's vapid smile

yet there!
with you, but no...

far, far away
in a Vision no heart,
no amount of compassion could See

but me

Burning, pining, Seething this Dream
this floating Dream
that takes me away

always from here~

Now should refrain

and smile
and nodd
and contain

restless
for an ever-conlusive quest
that's beyond
a simple dream

a wayward foot
Bursting through

a blazing trail of heart-crushing
flagrant thrusting

I'm out there
but IN, so IN
and out of sight

Maiden of the Endless Night

Burning

Feet forward
swaggering this careless gait

denouncing
heavier loss of Fate

I've laid my Heart
so gingerly
in Sacred Rite
on this Flame

~Sacrifice~

burning emptiness into emptier delight

and I'm happy
yet, no not really... done

morose

scorched beyond recognition
of your past illusions

yet anew

Scarlet pounding Hunger
my Soul will not scorn

there is -has to be!- more unseen
than bereft,
consenting malaise and apathy
the masses so gayfully glee

alien light laughter around
my Soul has fled to Higher ground
and there,

not a sight
not a whisper
no carress

a womb-like preparation
for Freedom Birth

strangled in this tangled hearth

warm-wet-flesh
pulsing, throbbing
dialating waves

such POWER!

the slightest tentative touch
might unleash

Breath beyond measure

Life beyond Living!

Enpassionata~

this giving
this taming

this saning,
Maddening Decree

That will,
no amount of will,

be
Life
or Death

of me.

I am essentially alone,
exploring the tentative
landscape of Earth.

Achingly alone,
without a clan
to follow or to lead.

And around every bend
surprises crouch
hidden
in open shadows,
sharpening their blades
in preparation to pounce.

So shocking
with their inborn aggression.

Opening wider
these innocent eyes.

Like an ape man
I've wandered in silence
in search for some
forever lost chord.

In bemusement
I've unconsciously hungered
for the stance
and chivalry of a lord,

but as the shadows
multiply and populate
the green,
yet browning earth
I embrace
the whisper of silence
like my own embryionic birth

and the chord is
forever lost and stretching,
growing larger and
harder to find,

yet this hunger-pained-heart,
quiet and unique
in its own rythm,
still refuses
to grow harder with time.

That poem is so, so wonderful!
Did you write it?

My compliments if you did,
and my compliments even if you didn't; cause than it's a too wonderful choice

Fayte yeah, keep rockin' on, my eccentricly unique dear friend.

goatgirl, your compassion is so beautiful.
thank you.
As yours will return to you.

castlegirl,
very kind of you to say, thank you.
Yes, I wrote it. I believe highly in giving artists credit for their work,
so if I don't list an author it is me.
Passionata is somewhat recent, the other written in my early 20's, I think.
All that's changed, is the Chord doesn't seem as elusive as it once did.
Remembering back, it was always so close within reach, just I wasn't clear enough myself to realize it.

this has always been one of my
favorite songs.

Sitting

Oh I'm on my way, I know I am,
somewhere not so far
from here
All I know is all I feel right now,
I feel the power growing
in my hair

Sitting on my own
not by myself,
everybody's here with me

I dont need to touch
your face to know,
I dont need to
use my eyes to see

I keep on wondering
if I sleep too long,
will I always wake
up the same (or so)?

And keep on wondering
if I sleep too long,
will I even wake up
again or something

Oh I'm on my way I know I am,
but times there were when
I thought not
Bleeding half my soul
in bad company,
I thank the moon I
had the strength to stop

I'm not making love
to anyone's wishes,
only for that light I see
cause when I'm dead and lowered
low in my grave,
thats gonna be the only thing
that's left of me

And if I make it to the waterside,
will I even find me a boat
(or so)?
And if I make it to the waterside,
I'll be sure to write you
note or something

Oh I'm on my way, I know I am,
somewhere not so far
from here
All I know is all I feel right now,
I feel the power growing
in my hair

Oh life is like a maze of doors
and they all
open from the
side you're on
Just keep on pushing hard boy,
try as you may
You're gonna wind up
where you started from

You're gonna wind up
where you started from.

~Cat Stevens

"and the chord is
forever lost and stretching,
growing larger and

I missed your poem, Lia~
How beautiful and subtle
But nothing is lost forever only waiting to refine itself and return-- only a painful progress waiting to rediscover

"yet this hunger-pained-heart,
quiet and unique
in its own rythm,
still refuses
to grow harder with time."

Complexity... I love it--
I believe the heart refuses because of deep-knowing
but will find the way to grow through hardships because of the unique wisdom that is forever within

And, yes, Rebel yell, indeed.
Silver~

Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year....
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep. ~Robert Frost

Silver
Wise and True.

For an average man, the world is weird
because if he's not bored with it, he's at odds with it. For a warrior, the world is weird because it is stupendous, awesome, mysterious, unfathomable. A warrior must assume responsibility for being here, in this marvelous world, in the marvelous time.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The flaw with words is that they always make us feel enlightened, but when we turn around to face the world they always fail us and we end up facing the world as we always have, without enlightenment. For this reason, the warrior seeks to act rather than to talk, and to this effect, he gets a new description of the world -- a new description where talking is not that important, and where new acts have new reflections.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Warriors have only one thing in mind;
their freedom.
To die and be eaten by the Eagle is no
challenge.
On the other hand,
to sneak around the Eagle and be free
is the ultimate audacity.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There is no completeness without sadness
and longing, for without them, there
is no sobriety, no kindness.
Wisdom without kindness and knowledge without sobriety are useless.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The deepest flaw of unseasoned warriors is that they are willing to forget the wonders of what they see. They become overwhelmed by the fact that they can see and believe its their genius that counts.
A seasoned warrior must be a paragon of discipline in order to override the nearly invincible laxness of our human condition.
More important than seeing itself is what warriors do with what they see.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When a man embarks on the warrior's path, he becomes aware, in a gradual manner, that ordinary life has been left forever behind.
The means of the ordinary world are no longer a buffer for him; and he must adopt a new way of life if he is going to survive.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A warrior thinks of his death
when things become unclear.
The idea of death
is the only thing
that tempers the spirit.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am already given to the power
that rules my fate.
And I cling to nothing,
so I will have nothing to defend.
I have no thoughts, so I will see.
I fear nothing,
so I will remember myself.
Detatched and at ease,
I will dart past the Eagle
to be Free.
Lialei-
Thank you so much for this thread! I think it was a good exercise for me to read it as I am a Sag.. and innocence is a strong Sag trait in my view. I can get frustrated with myself because of how society gets me thinking of the word in a negative sense.
It is truly a freedom I will always enjoy!
Thanks again!
0 (zero) ~ The Fool
A fool is one who goes on trusting; a fool is one who goes on trusting against all his experience. You deceive him, and he trusts you; and you deceive him again, and he trusts you; and you deceive him again, and he trusts you. Then you will say that he is a fool, he does not learn. His trust is tremendous; his trust is so pure that nobody can corrupt it.
Be a fool in the Taoist sense, in the Zen sense. Don´t try to create a wall of knowledge around you. Whatsoever experience comes to you, let it happen, and then go on dropping it. Go on cleaning your mind continuously; go on dying to the past so you remain in the present, herenow, as if just born, just a babe.
In the beginning it is going to be very difficult. The world will start taking advantage of you...let them. They are poor fellows. Even if you are cheated and deceived and robbed, let it happen, because that which is really yours cannot be robbed from you, that which is really yours nobody can steal from you.
And each time you don´t allow situations to corrupt you, that opportunity will become an integration inside. Your soul will become more crystallized.
Osho Dang Dang Doko Dang Chapter 2
Commentary:
Moment to moment, and with every step, the Fool leaves the past behind. He carries nothing more than his purity, innocence and trust, symbolized by the white rose in his hand. The pattern on his waistcoat contains the colors of all four elements of the tarot, indicating that he is in harmony with all that surrounds him. His intuition is functioning at its peak. At this moment the Fool has the support of the universe to make this jump into the unknown. Adventures await him in the river of life.
The card indicates that if you trust your intuition right now, your feeling of the 'rightness' of things, you cannot go wrong. Your actions may appear 'foolish' to others, or even to yourself, if you try to analyze them with the rational mind. But the 'zero' place occupied by the Fool is the numberless number where trust and innocence are the guides, not skepticism and past experience.
The Rebel
People are afraid, very much afraid of those who know themselves. They have a certain power, a certain aura and a certain magnetism, a charisma that can take out alive, young people from the traditional imprisonment....
The enlightened man cannot be enslaved - that is the difficulty - and he cannot be imprisoned.... Every genius who has known something of the inner is bound to be a little difficult to be absorbed; he is going to be an upsetting force. The masses don't want to be disturbed, even though they may be in misery; they are in misery, but they are accustomed to the misery. And anybody who is not miserable looks like a stranger.
The enlightened man is the greatest stranger in the world; he does not seem to belong to anybody. No organization confines him, no community, no society, no nation.
Osho The Zen Manifesto: Freedom from Oneself Chapter 9
Commentary:
The powerful and authoritative figure in this card is clearly the master of his own destiny. On his shoulder is an emblem of the sun, and the torch he holds in his right hand symbolizes the light of his own hard-won truth.
Whether he is wealthy or poor, the Rebel is really an emperor because he has broken the chains of society's repressive conditioning and opinions. He has formed himself by embracing all the colors of the rainbow, emerging from the dark and formless roots of his unconscious past and growing wings to fly into the sky. His very way of being is rebellious - not because he is fighting against anybody or anything, but because he has discovered his own true nature and is determined to live in accordance with it. The eagle is his spirit animal, a messenger between earth and sky.
The Rebel challenges us to be courageous enough to take responsibility for who we are and to live our truth.
So here's the audio for the above
Sitting
My favorite line is "life is like a maze of doors and they all open from the side you're on"
audio, cool, thanks, Zala
Yusuf always does it for me.
I love that line too.
We search and search so earnestly,
and in the end it is a reTurning to what we
wandered from and have forgotten.
Without the wandering, how would we ever know?
In the re-Awakening
Green Lush of Spring,
a remembering...
Vision
in the Heart of the Spring
Vision
carries Mountains across rivers of Air
Vision
Wilds Tamed Starlings
Vision
Sees
Vision
Breathes
Dances
Engages
Sings
Vision is an Ecstasy
ORGASMIC
Vision of IN sight
OUT of sight (man)
Jolt Electric
this meaningless Plight
Monotone din
...din...din...
is something beyond ear?
Some deafening Beauty
the Soul bleeds to hear?
om disappeared, identity-less
into the om of a coasting, dire Sphere.
Indifference
is a sword
more crueler than kindness.
*whisper*
"Beautiful Starling, are You awake?...
...let's plan a murder....or start a religion."
Arise the Day.
Heaving, Panting,
Dreaming, Running,
Stilling, Seeking,
Diving, Soaring,
Flying, Kissing,
Shining, Falling,
Bruising, Rising,
Believing, Trusting,
Giving, Receiving,
Needing,
Reeling
Wow, Lia, that poem pounds!!
You know what I mean? Best I can describe it is POUNDS!!! Rhythmic, driving, building in crescendo.
I'm exhausted but in a nice way.
This poem sure fits the title of this thread, Rebel Yell.
