It was you?

It's so weird, I still can't see any posts since my last one to Zala on May 10th.
I guess the only reason I can see yours here is because it started a new page.
My page 2 ends with the May 10th post...as if the last few hours are suspended in mid-air, swirling about in the ethers, waiting to land.

hhhokay.

thank you, Dear Silver

We really have to get you hooked up to cable internet here, Lia.

I think your dial up server is in a parallel universe or something.

Mirandee
it pounds?
I like that you felt that.

Sometimes we just need to shake it all out go crazy--right or wrong,
feel deeply~
immerse intensly.

Complacency is a dormant rumbling crescendo all its own...a tiny scream building inside.

Do we hear it tremor in the hum of distraction?

This world is white noise.
A radiator hummmmmmmmmmm.
You can lose your Self so easily
in the s l i d e.

Somtimes nothing is as destructive as
comfort.

Bleed, if that's what it takes to Awaken. JUMP headlong into that scary Void.

The Unknown is always every breathing moment.
We're on the Threshold of the Void, teetering, just teetering there.

What awaits before us
in the chasm
is whatever
we enVision.

Does any other thought make you feel
more alive?

The Good

The good are vulnerable
As any bird in flight,
They do not think of safety,
Are blind to possible extinction
And when most vulnerable
Are most themselves.

The good are real as the sun,
Are best perceived through clouds
Of casual corruption
That cannot kill the luminous sufficiency
That shines on city, sea and wilderness,
Fastidiously revealing
One man to another,
Who yet will not accept
Responsibilities of light.

The good incline to praise,
To have the knack of seeing that
The best is not destroyed
Although forever threatened.
The good go naked in all weathers,
And by their nakedness rebuke
The small protective sanities
That hide men from themselves.

The good are difficult to see
Though open, rare, destructible;
Always, they retain a kind of youth,
The vulnerable grace
Of any bird in flight,
Content to be itself,
Accomplished master and potential victim,
Accepting what the earth or sky intends.

I think that I know one or two
Among my friends.

I would also add that:
Denial and avoidance are not the way of a rebel ,
nor is complacency.
A rebel does not ignore adversity.
A rebel believes in justice.

I love your Rebel Yell, Lia

I wonder if there is any reason my birth name contains the words 'yell' and 'bell'.

I wish the sensitive and beautiful didn't have to be as vulnerable as birds in flight. I wish birds in flight didn't have to be vulnerable

And I dream of the day of the 'Lion and the Lamb'....life will no longer seek to sustain itself by killing/ draining others.....instead, it will find another source....harmony; no harm.

But how to tap into this source? That is the question I am asking, because I tend to be affected so much by the environment I am in, etc. I am merely a pilgrim, in search of higher truth.

and

I love you, my fellow pilgrims.

quote:
I am essentially alone,
exploring the tentative
landscape of Earth.

Achingly alone,
without a clan
to follow or to lead.

And around every bend
surprises crouch
hidden
in open shadows,
sharpening their blades
in preparation to pounce.

So shocking
with their inborn aggression.

Opening wider
these innocent eyes.

Like an ape man
I've wandered in silence
in search for some
forever lost chord.

In bemusement
I've unconsciously hungered
for the stance
and chivalry of a lord,

but as the shadows
multiply and populate
the green,
yet browning earth
I embrace
the whisper of silence
like my own embryionic birth

and the chord is
forever lost and stretching,
growing larger and
harder to find,

yet this hunger-pained-heart,
quiet and unique
in its own rythm,
still refuses
to grow harder with time.

Yes, absolutely

Break Free

If only
We could see through each other's eyes
There would be no more fear
There would be no lies

If only
We could
Feel empathy for every human
And animals alike

If only
If only

Break Free

Break Free from the Suffering

It's up to us to put things right
With every gentle spark of light

There's something out there-
Can't you feel it?
Where we come from
Where we truly belong

It's endless possibility
It's endless Love.......

Infinite Consciousness
Infinite Love

About a dream I had when I was 9:

------------------
Oneness is this: we are separate, yet inseparable, individual yet interconnected; each and every being made of the same inner essence. When you hurt another, you hurt a part of yourself; when you heal another, you heal a part of yourself.

For all the innocent, vulnerable, sensitive souls, everywhere:

Stand up for what you believe in.
Remember, no matter
how much ridicule
you may endure,
Stand up anyway.
Someone, somewhere
loves you all
the more.

quote:

The flaw with words is that they always make us feel enlightened, but when we turn around to face the world they always fail us and we end up facing the world as we always have, without enlightenment. For this reason, the warrior seeks to act rather than to talk, and to this effect, he gets a new description of the world -- a new description where talking is not that important, and where new acts have new reflections.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Warriors have only one thing in mind;
their freedom.
To die and be eaten by the Eagle is no
challenge.
On the other hand,
to sneak around the Eagle and be free
is the ultimate audacity.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There is no completeness without sadness
and longing, for without them, there
is no sobriety, no kindness.
Wisdom without kindness and knowledge without sobriety are useless.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The deepest flaw of unseasoned warriors is that they are willing to forget the wonders of what they see. They become overwhelmed by the fact that they can see and believe its their genius that counts.
A seasoned warrior must be a paragon of discipline in order to override the nearly invincible laxness of our human condition.
More important than seeing itself is what warriors do with what they see.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When a man embarks on the warrior's path, he becomes aware, in a gradual manner, that ordinary life has been left forever behind.
The means of the ordinary world are no longer a buffer for him; and he must adopt a new way of life if he is going to survive.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A warrior thinks of his death
when things become unclear.
The idea of death
is the only thing
that tempers the spirit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I am already given to the power

that rules my fate.

And I cling to nothing,

so I will have nothing to defend.

I have no thoughts, so I will see.

I fear nothing,

so I will remember myself.

Detatched and at ease,

I will dart past the Eagle

to be Free.

~~~from The Wheel of Time -- The Shamans of Ancient Mexico, Their Thoughts About Life, Death and the Universe by Carlos Casteneda
