dear Daisychain ~i love angels also.  and i really don't think Fayte had any intention of offending you or seeming superior...she just has a different idea of angels than we do. on the contrary, i think she was trying to be respectful of your ideas by deleting her posts and not being contentious about the nature of angels. she likes to share her knowledge, and is very understanding of how unconventional she can sound to some people. this is the reason she deleted her posts...to be respectful of what's important to you. i personally love the archangels esp, so i wish you their healing power and love. As I said in a post I deleted, I use to love angels until Something happened. Suffice it to say angels do not like being questioned, very big egos there, used to people going ohh ahhh an angel! Well not me. I do not trust anything that tells me to trust it without giving ID and answering my questions. Also in my experience they come to you,
and you do not go find where they are. That really makes them mad and dangerous. What I saw changed my mind on them from Love to OMG what have they done to humankind!??? Not my idea of any beings I can love anymore as I did once. You have no right to judge me DC until you see what I have seen.
And DC when you or anyone insists that Jesus died for your sins and call me a liar and a heathen you are insulting my theories, my personal experiences, which I am sure would scare the heck out of most folks, and the beliefs of roughly 3/4 of the world's population.
It is You being pompous and acting like your way is the only way, your religion the end all to be all. Well it is one of thousands of religions. And one of the youngest.
I do not insult anyone of any faith unless they insult anyone not of their faith and tout theirs as the best and only path to God, not just for them PERSONALLY but for EVERYONE! Talk about arrogance!
So if you deem me a heathen and a liar I am in good company with the majority of other human beings.
Yes I deleted my posts because what I thought was going to be a rational discussion about earth spirits of benevolent manner, protectors of innocents and hunters of evil, turned instead into ohhh scary scary bad bad dogmatic and new age stuff. You have no right to judge me DC. You have no idea what I have experienced. Does that make me superior? Your words not mine. Did I make you feel lesser because our views differ? That is not my fault how you feel. I do not feel superior at all. I simply let my mind be open to seeing and finding, and do not tie myself to old preconceptions. As Jesus said to paraphrase:
You must be as a little child to see.....
I feel that means to dump ALL you think you know, all you were told, and wait and watch and see with untainted eyes what really is or seems to be. Your eyes will not let you see beyond the bounds of your dogma, you have hit your glass ceiling. If you want to live that way, seriously, that is fine by me! That is YOUR CHOICE, but do not force it at me please. When you die you can take it up with God then as to if you are right or wrong, just as anyone can. All I ask is do not insult me and people not of your faith. You do not like it when it is done to you and neither do I like it done to me. Your intolerance is not Godly at all.
When I state my theories they are MINE. I am not telling you you must believe in them and then call you a heathen and a liar if you do not believe my theories.
My apologies to those who wanted to discuss this interesting phenomena without going off into dogma and superstition.
All that is bright and beautiful is not always good and all that is dark and perceived as scary is not bad.

If I were a Godless heathen and a liar that rapist of children would have possibly gotten my child that day that I sensed something bad in the woods and forbade him to go there. I sensed it DC, and then asked God for help. And God delivered in the form of that spirit who found the rapist and caused him to amputate his genitals out of guilt because of the innocent boys and girls he had raped.
Again I sensed the evil and asked God for help. You said yourself that: quote:

Well I SAW the dark energy in the woods, it was very clear to me from a 1/4 mile away. Does that make me an angel?

I am not afraid of the soul hunters because I have no malice or evil in my soul. That is why I do not fear asking God to send such creatures/enities. I do not judge the book by its cover. If this is the help God sends who am I to judge its form? Beauty does not fool me nor impress me to automatically consider it benevolent. Terrifying and or ugly looking creatures to most, I do not automatically fear or hate.

So did God die and leave you to also judge me? You tell me some pretty far fetched things, but because I cannot prove or disprove what you say I add it to my bit bucket of theories dear Lotus. Who am I to say you are wrong in what you have told me? Until evidence beyond your words to me is found I try my best not to judge your visions of me and other things.

well i found what you said very very interesting fayte and I never ask for you to leave, i'd never ask that of anyone...but everyone's butting heads so violently lately...even I've noticed that lately, I've been short of temper (and thats highly unusual for me). It just gets kind of draining after a while, when everywhere you look it's going on.I just didnt want things to get carried away Please forgive for me losing it. I can understand why you get so worked up, LL is a place so free for everyone to come to. With so many opinions and experiences, from so many different walks of life, it's not unusual for fighting and toe-stepping to begin... especially when people start shoving their ideas down your throat (not saying names, just in general). Please stay...
if you have anything more to add about this phenomenon I'd enjoy hearing it.

Some very firm statements there indeed! But it was DC's experiences or her Shaman friend's, not mine. I thought some was interesting however. But in my opinion the reading was reversed in some ways. And not all was/is true, again I state for the record here.....based on my experiences, in my opinion, but.......
some things did resonate with me, which I found interesting! I WAS, I theorize, a scientist/inventor. And I have encountered an entity whose name begain with a "V", but it was NOT an angel. Same for the entity she condsiders to be a Sephoroth. But I will not explain what I got here. The difference is, I did not assume angelic, or supernatural, and interrogated and found out what they may be, rather than taking things at face value. What I feel I discovered is far more intriguing and I feel far more theoriticaly possible and logical than the stock angel interpretation.

It is frustrating for me when a wonderful topic such as yours is introduced and it gets turned into a religion war or argument.
I would not have replied to DC if I had noticed
she/he had only posted 31 times since last fall. Anyone who has paid attention or been here awhile, would already know that I am not a Christian and have issue with Angels and people freaking out over the unknown before finding out if something is bad or good. I study all types of religions, and myths and legends, ancient and contemporary. Study, do not believe as a whole or follow as a whole.
Here at LL we have not only Christians, but folks who follow in at least a dozen other religions other than Christianity. They are most likely not as outspoken because with the exception of JWs, their religions are not into conversion as those are. And they may be afraid of being condemned, called liars and heathens. I have seen those who follow the gentle path of Wicca attacked already. Some uninformed biased bigoted folks equate it with black magic and think of it as devil worship. Very Puritanical! And very uninformed.
I shall consider putting my posts back in about the experiences I have had and my viewpoints about the "hell hound". I do not as you saw, consider these creatures/entities evil or in any way of any hell in their natures.
I have been warned and avoided terrible things, injury, accident and assaults, by taking the omens of the Ravens and Crows. Buzzards too, and snakes etcetera. Yet many would consider these creatures evil. Yet they, like the pretty creatures of Earth, are also God's creatures.
Without the fly, which most consider nasty, and other scavengers of decay, this planet would become quite a place of stench and rot unchecked, except by microbial action, erosion or dessication. The dance of life is like a wonderful symphony with each doing its part. Some have distasteful jobs in a human's point of view.
But just like the human undertaker or forensic investigator doing autopsies on dead
and decayed or severely mutilated bodies, all have their place in this dance of life and death, these Earth Rhythms.
Yes, I would love to return to the subject of
what folks consider supernatural creatures and spirits! But here I present, some more food for thought.....
Be it of the world of the living, or the unseen realms, it is still of this planet.
So that in essence makes it NATURAL and it is only that folks do not have explanations for much of it all yet. The electric lights of now, the cars we drive, and more things we take as totally natural, would be, to an ancient, or even one of 150 years ago, a marvel, or a terror! Can you imagine how a person from times long past would react to a television? Now add in the things portrayed on a television! Can you imagine the culture shock and terror or embarrassment? And that is only once they got
to the point the TV did not freak them out!
Misconceptions about what is natural and what is supernatural has more to do with using a catchall word to describe the yet unexplained. It is not supernatural at all, no more than germs and bacteria and viruses. Yet in the past, and even some folks in our times, believed/believe it was evil spirits or demon possession. Folks have been(sadly some still believe this, which adds to ostrisization of the ill and or handicapped) considered evil and their ailments caused by evil or sin. That they deserve it. The ancients of Judea and other places, turned their blind, and ones with deformities out from their homes for those reasons. Even a child born blind would not be permitted to live under his family's roof because he was an outcast and or unclean one.
Ok....I am ranting and segueing all over the place here!
But the point I am attempting to make is there are many different ways to look at things and one should ascertain what is what before considering or labeling it as good or bad, especially when it comes to how something looks. One should ask themself as you so wisely did in essence, but what else could it be? Why was here? I loved your first post because it showed you were THINKING and wondering and wanted to discuss the topic and find answers!

I am willing to listen to alternative ideas and visions and dreams folks have had. quote:

Calling folks liars or heathens has kept the human race back, and we are not as evolved because of that kind of thinking which slows the wheels and course of change and progress towards knowlege and discovery. Lifesaving and disease curing Antibiotics would not have been invented if folks all stayed with the idea that illness and disease was caused by evil spirits.
Folks called Bruno a liar and a heathen and burned him to death. Great minds of the past have been executed and tortured to death for
stating things we now know to be scientific fact. Mani was skinned alive and crucified for his teachings when the religious/political clime changed.
So folks please no more calling each other liars and heathens. To discovery not mindless narrow minded bias and bigotry, or blind faith(when forced upon others).

Uh oh...another sabotage of a good and interesting thread.I believe Angels, demons, etc they all live in your head. Theres politics in all parts of the world. So is Vanity a natural sin that even angels are subject to. The only thing that matters is you and you alone. Ask your creator for things that you need and it will be given. Yes, God gives what we need even though we do not always get what we want.
