try this, i recently discovered that i was a sex slave in past life, was beaten , raped repeatedly by the man who owned me, and left to die when i fell terminally ill and couldn't " serve " him any more. even better that man has incarnated into my family and i see him regularly. always has a wierd relationship with him.
but after the regression i realised how many of my fears and problems are from that life. i actaully felt that trauma and pain all over again. and i mad ethe conscious decision to forgive all who had hurt me. for my sake alone.
hatred and anger take a lot of energy to sustain. and life is too beautiful to spend on revenge.

quote:
Love is ineffectual.
Love will get you crucified.
Love will get your friends crucified.
Love is not the answer.
Love anyway.

Why?
Because.
It's love.

Exactly......love is irrational, it is not something that can be quantified...its existence is all that matters, it exists to be propogated, spread, even if the giver is punished. It is worth it because love is the all, the void, everything and nothing.

Love is. The word love is the same as the verb "to be." To be is to be love, is to love, is to be. If that makes any sense.

“you will be surprised to know that the English word love comes from a Sanskrit word lobha, lobha means greed. it may have been just a coincidence that the English word love grew out of a Sankrit word that means greed, but my feeling is that this cannot be just coincidence. There must be something more mysterious behind it, there must be some alchemical reason behind it. in fact, greed digested is love. it is greed, lobha, digested well, which becomes love.

love is sharing; greed is hoarding. greed only wants and never gives, and love knows only giving and never asks for anything in return; it is unconditional sharing. there may be some alchemical reason that lobha has become love in English language. Lobha becomes love as far as inner alchemy is concerned.” -

<love, freedom, aloneness>, osho, 2001.

26taurus!
Fascinating isn't it?

English is a hodge podge of many many earlier languages it has evolved into being and radically changed down through time.
Thanks for the factoids!
You might enjoy the book:

HSC and BR you guys were truly inspired on this thread. I just caught up on the reading here and very much liked what you both said here about love.
