>>>We DO need others for our HappinessIn response to the first post by Obe:
Yes, the other can give you pleasure or happiness as a commodity. But the other if he is truly , madly, deeply in love with you, then he is more blessed than you. Try to understand this. When you are in deep love with your lover, you forget about yourself and dissolve completely in that love. Very few people in this world are like that. Infact many have never loved in their life. Most love is selfish. People who really love they seem very fulfilled. You can see that fulfillment in their eyes. Whereas in the eyes of you there is lust and not love. You treat the other as an object for your lust. If both lovers truly loves each other then they are treating each others as persons as opposed to objects. In that case both are truly blessed indeed. They both have the opportunity to dissolve their egos so that only Love remains and they dissapear.
Having said that Love should not be calculative, should not be a bargain and should not be a commodity. It must be treated as a temple and you have leave those thoughts behind before entering it. It should be all spontaneous.
And kingdom of God is already near. Human evolution has reached a pinnacle. God will not force anyone to enter the kingdom, it is you that needs to jump in. Every person is unique and you need to seek the kingdom and find out what path is best for you?
If you are in love you don't need any meditation. If you are in to meditation right now , you may have never loved. But if you loved and you lost, then medidation methods can bring back that feeling in to you and you can attain. So on and so forth. There are so many methods all tailored to individuals. I feel, "Initially, we must never stop seeking."
