If you really get mad at scientists that experiment on animals! It's a book about animals having emotion and those who think they don't. I can't read any further than half of it.

I have that book and love it. It's good, you should finish it. It's not that graphic. It has a lot of information/stories about animals.

I have an African Grey. Remember the stories about Alex? Well our bird Phil is so smart! You can carry on a conversation with him as though he were a four year old! AMAZING! He knows damn well what he's saying!

Oh yeah and a lot of people think fish have two second memories.... LOL! You got to be a dufus to think that!

Fish are sooo smart, and mine are trained and they analyse, think, and make decisions on their own!
All animals do. Thanks for bringing up this book Phil, I would like to read it!

We have fish as well, they start banging the tank and toss the stones on the bottom of the tank when they know it's feeding time! Funny!

Just 2 days ago I saw on tv how elephants mourn other elephants that have passed on.

There were about 8 elephants and they found the skull skeleton of an elephant that must have died long ago and all began to circle it as if doing some sort of ritual. Then they pick up the bones with there trunks and like to feel it everywhere. There bow there heads in sadness.

So sweet.

I don't understand how anyone can think that animals don't feel pain. They're living creatures, not toys.

It drives me insane, thinking about the cases of cruelty happening round the world right now, so, so sad I hope people wake up in this new wave of spiritual awakening, I'm trying to see / ordain it, I really am

I was just watching a docco about food around the world, and this time it was in Korea (can't remember if it was north or south) but they farm dogs for food.
This practise is unregulated and so many dogs suffer because of it.
I almost got sick watching how they handle the dogs so rough and uncaring and then cooking the flesh.

Oh my.... I mean, how do we go about stopping something like this?? Really, how much will charity money help this kind of thing? Is there something I'm unaware of that really helps??
