Thank you sunshine_lion, Juni, ghani, xrarax & AG! Scorpionic Web, That's awesome! I'd love to hear your sound. Many of my old guitar playing friends were Scorpio and Sag influenced people; all very talented. I know from the other thread you have great taste in music. Good luck finding the right recording program and let me know when you make a musicSpace! IP: Logged |

Thanks!I would LOVE to see what comes out of your creative self! Please show us? And have fun!!! I got the portrait scanned along with some others at the printers today. It shows a much better quality version than the above photos do, but I cant figure out how to get it off my jump drive... Oh well. IP: Logged |

The true work of art is but a shadow of the divine perfection. ::: Michelangelo :::Painting is a language which cannot be replaced by another language. I don’t know what to say about what I paint, really. ::: Balthus ::: A painter paints the appearance of things, not their objective correctness, in fact he creates new appearances of things. ::: Ernst Ludwig Kirchner ::: All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness. ::: Eckhart Tolle ::: A sincere artist is not one who makes a faithful attempt to put on to canvas what is in front of him, but one who tries to create something which is, in itself, a living thing. ::: William Dobell ::: Painting is so poetic, while sculpture is more logical and scientific and makes you worry about gravity. ::: Damien Hirst ::: Believe it or not, I can actually draw. ::: Jean Michel Basquiat ::: Whether I'm painting or not, I have this overweening interest in humanity. Even if I'm not working, I'm still analyzing people. ::: Alice Neel :::

ooo just found this one: The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place; from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web. ::: Pablo Picasso ::: IP: Logged |

If you're willing to pay for help with your website design, I'd recommend elance.com.Alternatively, I've read that Yahoo's small business websites are good for e-commerce as they allow you to collect money using a variety of standard sources including credit cards. IP: Logged |

AG, thank you so much. I will look into that. I like the site I'm using now, just wish it had more of the features or options I'm lookng for. I don't have a lot of time to be working on a website right now either. And there is limited webstore space at mine right now too. ...which isnt a big deal, actually because people can always just contact me if they are interested in purhasing something. Thanks again, bud. Hey Lavlee! Thank you! Wow, what an awesome compliment. I think painting them is healing to me too. I am self taught. Once I took a two hour watercolor class (which I affectionately look back on as a 'paint-by-number' class. lol) The instructor had us all trace the same picture and told us which colors to use, 'where' and 'when'. At the end of the day, I quickly realized I didn't learn much.....about watercolor painting anyway. Something has 'clicked' recently and I'm going with it. Do you paint with watercolor as well? Keep at it. I've come to realize it's all about practice and getting used to and comfortable with the medium. Thanks again for the compliment. It really means alot to me. IP: Logged |

Here's an interesting treatise on how not to make it in the art world: http://www.artbusiness.com/osoqartworld.html It is actually serious. I was searching my favorites for another art site (DeviantArt), and came across that link in my favorites. Are you at DeviantArt? IP: Logged |
