Not so secretly. Thank god. And I may be ressurrected, but I'm covered in sores; just like Lazarus.

That's hilarious. IP: Logged |

Because [Let me think about this...] it's true, I guess. It's funny, because he's being self-deprecating. He's being sarcastic about the fact that his talent doesn't seem to bear practical, material fruit, which I identify with. He knows the talent is there, and that it does actually mean something, but it's like the roots underground: it means much to the plant, though it is hidden in darkness.IP: Logged |

I see it. I didn't ignore your encouragement. I got painting pretty darn quick I'd say. And I said the poem you posted was perfect, too.IP: Logged |

Oh sure, now that I'm back you've removed the offer. I would be interested in learning why you felt snubbed. Here's a song I was listening to on the way home tonight I think Yin would like for it's mood. Very vampiric: Ours - I'm a Monster IP: Logged |

"What are they doing in heaven today?" Now I'm in the mood for some Patricia Kaas. The following is not an original of hers but her rendition is the one I like best.

"Ours" are great. I'm just more interested in songs about hope and butterflies in general. Dark ominous music and lyrics depress me. (Except for "Elbow" - there is something playful thus comforting about them - see Grounds for Divorce ) Maybe when I'm more emotionally stable (if that ever happens) I would be able to appreciate it better. But for now: Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head Sorry, cheesy I know, but it actually helps Cat Stevens helps also: If You Want To Sing Out IP: Logged |

I think, even the happy songs I like contain an element of sadness or resignation. Venus in Scorpio, anyone?Ain't Got No.. (I Got Life) - Nina Simone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUcXI2BIUOQ&feature=channel_page I Live My Broken Dreams - Daniel Johnston http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0x81OWf72k&feature=channel_page Everlong - Foo Fighters (when they didnt suck) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crOZk88eCcg IP: Logged |
