I was listening to this interview with Hugh Newman and he was talking about the undeniable evidence that all races lived in America in ancient times, some co-existng.Maybe none of us can really say where our ancestry truly lies. Maybe we are all a mixture. IP: Logged |

Hi Kat!Well, I once heard that no one is more than 100th cousins from another person. Gives a bit of a nasty feeling, doesn't it? America has been a land of safety and a place to run to for so many people. Many of us can't trace our ancestry any further than biblical times, so your theory might be true. We technically all are from the same Source. Anyways, I don't think anyone has a pure bloodline. Other ethinicities had to have blended in at some point. IP: Logged |

quote: so many americans come from people who came here after seriously traumatic experiences and arrived only after a gruelling ocean voyage...you would think there would be more sympathy for immigrants, but every era has its new "bunch" who are considered a major problem by those more settled. then the next generation goes on to resent/fear whoever comes next. crazy...

They just fear the next generation because they know they're losing their grip on power. Confucius once said to respect and fear the next generation, not undermine and oppress.IP: Logged |

I asked my parents and grandparents this a few years ago out of personal interest. My father was born in Canada. His father was born in England. All his relatives were English. Apparently his father worked setting up speakers for the queen. Not really sure where the queen would want speakers, but that's what I heard. His mother was born in South Africa. Her mother was born in South Africa. Her mother was German, and that's as far back as that's traced. While her father was Scottish and there's some glorious story about how the German great great grandma traveled across the sea and married the Scott via a transcontinental written letter, because he was living in South Africa I think. I'm really pretty uncertain about the specific placements as I've lost the sheet I've jotted it down on... Anyway my grandmother's father was Irish or Scottish and English some way or how. Then to my Mother. She was born in Canada. Her father was born in America. He's Irish, possibly Scottish; all that's known. He left my grandmother when my mother was 2 and jumped off the golden gate bridge when she was 21 after contracting AIDS or throat cancer; again, a matter of debate. Her mother was born in Canada. I have no recollection of specifically the ancestry behind that but definitely English and Irish and possibly Scottish lineage. So, in short, I'm 100% Paper white, and personally ginger despite neither of my parents being.

unconquerable...I feel happy to know that we live in the same country and we share a common ground in this Linda land.Oh,yeah!!I just love the place I live in and I thank the Lord everyday that I'm born in this place,no I'm not being patriotic here, I love my place simply because it isn't not only beautiful it is also very peaceful, the crime rate here is almost negligible, more over there is still some honesty left among the masses, meaning to say that even if you happen to leave some cash bag somewhere in the public you can more than hope to get it back.Well,if you ever plan to visit Sikkim I'll be more than happy to assist you.LOVE IP: Logged |

I am squealing; this is so exciting! I have been to Ludhiana to visit some uncles before, but I've never stayed long. I do feel quite lucky to live here, Colorado is absolutely beautiful and the skiing is great. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the country. IP: Logged |

Well, anybody living in such a beautiful place would be really grateful to God to have been born there. Oh yes, Sikkim is not only beautiful, its also very peaceful and it is a very spiritual place, that's why I think it has such a low crime rate. I haven't been to Sikkim, but there are people I know who have been there and they really loved it. I would love to visit Sikkim...I hope it happens soon! quote: Well,if you ever plan to visit Sikkim I'll be more than happy to assist you.LOVE
