I wanted to start a new thread on this topic, it's been bugging me for a long time.I just don't know how to do.I'm unhappy with virgo and taurus sharing signs with gemini and libra. I think it's like the other ones who had to share for awhile, eventually each has it's own ruler.I'm sooooo ready to know what they are. I feel like I'm missing important info!! So do you think chiron to be the real ruler of virgo? What about taurus???? IP: Logged |

I like being unruly I have to say that l think Venus is more Taurean than Libran as a ruler! don't strike me down but l think Venus fits better with Taurus. IP: Logged |

yeah! I'm glad it's not just me WriteSomething Taurus epitomize sensuality and venus coming out of the shell is just 'getting' taurus totally. In fact come to think about it even my bath is a bit like a shell lol IP: Logged |

I definitely see how Chiron rules Virgo. But I see how Venus and Mercury rule two signs each. With Venus, the social signals are strong as a ruler of Libra in terms of relationships, social justice and services, hosting skills, popularity. Then Mercury as the ruler of Virgo with it's nervous stomach and digestive issues, it's attention to detail and discrimation. I love the revolution of the mid to late 60's having occurred in Virgo especially in terms of the art being so detailed, psychedelic designs and paisleys are very Mercurial. The song-"writer" gained major status, think of John Lennon's "jabberwocky-esque" lyricism influencing many others, Bob Dylan, etc. But I'm so off track now. I see that the rulerships make sense, but I also feel your pain, I must admit. It took me forever to discover why Saturn used to be a ruler of Aquarius then one day I heard a shaman speak at an event and he said that it is "breath" that keeps us anchored here on earth. It's the first thing we do alone and it's the last thing we do alone. WOW!! I never thought of air as an anchor. Saturn-yes, air-no. But it made sense. Horary astrologers still use it. OK, I'm done. I agree about Venus and Taurus!I've never felt that Mercury was completely accurate. Maybe a co-ruler. It just makes more sense with Gemini to me. I think Chiron is a good candidate, but what about Ceres maybe? Geo...wow. Saturn as an anchor makes complete sense! IP: Logged |

From a virgo moon: I think Mercury is partially acurate for virgo but not completely. I agree it should serve as a co-ruler with Chiron. As for venus, DAMN I'm glad I'm not the only one who believes it suits Taurus more than it suits Libra. Venus has always seemed more earthy to me than airy, or maybe that's my Tarot Cards influencing me ( The Empress is ruled by venus and definitely strikes me as a Taurean woman to the T).

yes! The Empress does totally represent taurus. I always get The Empress as my significator!I can see saturn as anchor too... never realised how SERIOUS and SOBER Aquarians are until l started dating one. IP: Logged |

I don't see Chiron as Virgo's ruler, but I don't know how such things are decided. Would they be "wounded healers," because they alternate between health extremes: smoking/not smoking, drinking/not drinking, eating unhealthy/eating healthy, etc.?I do think Mercury is fine with both signs. Even though I endorsed Venus for Taurus, I can also see why it's given to Libra. Both signs can be very good with money, and attracting money. Both signs have great singers. Both signs are charmers. Both usually have good fashion sense. Both signs act macho, but have a sensitive side. Both signs can be quite humorous. IP: Logged |

I guess I'm against the grain in this thread LOL. I actually believe that Venus suits Libra slightly better than Taurus. But I think it's fitting for Taurus too with their refined taste for aesthetics. Libra loves peace, partnership, fairness, humility, beauty, aesthetics, love, and romance. Are these things not Venusian? Taurus loves peace, quiet, serenity, beauty, aesthetics, stability, and partnership. Are these things not Venusian either? As far as Virgo, I see them being more Saturnian than Mercurial. I can see loosely how they could be ruled by Chiron because of the wounded healer thing and how Virgos are very critical for a reason. Aquarius? I really don't understand how Saturn was applied to them though. But again, Libra is definitely Venusian to me. ------------------ Virgo Asc 6˚& Mars 0˚ Gemini Sun 24˚ Libra Moon 14˚(conjunct Pluto 0˚ in 2nd house) Gemini Mercury 25˚ Cancer Venus 29˚ And yes, i'm a guy! Hi Acoustic God,I couldn't tell you why Chiron rules Virgo but all I know is that when I read someone's chart and Chiron is affected by a Solar Arc or transit, all of the issues of the house that's on Virgo get seriously triggered. For example, if someone has a Virgo as the 9th House and Jupiter Solar Arcs their Chiron (where ever it is) that person will do something like travel internationally to promote their number one best selling novel about a professor of library studies who goes on a great adventure to meet God or something like that. Everything 9th House will surge out of the closet of their life. That's how I found out that Chiron rules Virgo, mostly when Chiron is hit somehow and whatever house cusp is on Virgo gets triggered like mad. AGHHH Saturn and Virgo? OMG! Got Gemini, for shame! Like we're not seen as repressed enough as it is, now you want to add Saturn to us??? NO NO NO lol, I won't let you!Poor Cappys have to deal with the burden of Saturn and I think it only fair that Aquarians got some of the burden LOL. IP: Logged |

I feel like Mercury is so at home with Virgo way more than Gemini. Not Chiron, the true ruler of Virgo according to LG is Vulcan. Venus doesn't suit Libra a bit I have to disagree, I dont even see it with Taurus But I am being biased here, I am begining to literally hate Taurus due to some personal issues that I am having with one of them. I don't see saturn ruling a mutable sign, so I don't see it ruling virgo. *shrugs* Again, I still believe mercury is a good co-ruler because really, I always think of virgo as gemini's less outgoing cousin/sibling. And before anyone jumps all over me, I'm *solely* comparing the energies of my virgo moon and gemini venus and not the actual sunsigns. IP: Logged |

As someone with a huge Virgo stellium I resonate with Mercury, Chiron and Vesta being co-rulers of Virgo.IP: Logged |

What if each sign had dual rulership...one, from Sun to Saturn, and the other trans-Saturnian. after all, Saturn still seems to impact Aquarius, Mars to Scorpio, Jupiter to Pisces Chiron, I think is between Saturn and Uranus, so as a suggestion for Virgo, prior to Saturn is Mercury, still, and Chiron is the trans-Saturnian ruler. (Not sure about Vesta personally but who knows...) IP: Logged |

I dunno, I think it's just that Venus is airier in Libra and more earthy in Taurus...the expression of 'love' or Venus feels more tangible in Taurus, more sensuous (at least to me). Libra feels more idealistic, almost love-from-afar as Venus.Maybe they both have Venus as ruler because there's more than one type of love expression (well, certainly more than two LOL). IP: Logged |

Ceres could be the ruler of Taurus and remember that Ceres is no more a asteroid now is a planet.IP: Logged |

I agree about Ceres, I think it's a very important planet/asteroid/thingie (boy that sounded smart). But I think she'd do well with Virgos too. IP: Logged |

Chiron suits Virgo imo. Ceres is another name for the ancient greek goddess Demeter. She also had a daughter, Persephone, that was abducted by Hades [Pluto] http://www.arthistory.sbc.edu/imageswomen/papers/paolicchidemeter/demeter.html Persephone is only an asteroid though. http://www.llewellynjournal.com/article/1092 Persephone and Virgo http://realmagick.com/articles/73/1173.html And I know this is probably a weird thing to say but I think Juno [Hera] could be Taurus' ruler http://www.goddessgift.com/goddess-myths/greek_goddess_hera.htm IP: Logged |
