I have my Venus conjunct the Sun by 2 degrees... And as far as the social standing goes, I could really care less what sort of social standing someone has. I get along with everyone, and I genuinely want to get to know others (I'm a counselor by trade). However, I also have Venus sextile Saturn to the degree, so that might augment the aspect some.

Now... You mention "out to collect people" and I would agree with this insofar as I enjoy hearing people's stories and befriending people who really seem like they know what's what and are genuinely good people. Everyone else is interesting, but they can be interesting from a distance, because I get tired of hearing/dealing with people's drama/negative attitudes.

Someone said that people with Venus conjunct the Sun are sometimes not aware of their attractiveness, and for the longest time that has been me. People would always tell me that I'm beautiful, but I'd never really believe it. It's only been recently that I've been noticing that I can walk into a room and I will be noticed and also that I actually believe people when they give me compliments. This might also have something to do with the fact that the transiting Pluto is trining my natal Venus.

None of them are what I would call superficial, shallow, or anything like that..actually they are all people who are a little offbeat themselves and definitely want to cut to the core of a person.

The only common trait I see among these men is charm..none of them are classically handsome but they are in fact very attractive. Girls love them.

I love the Sun-Venus conjunction in men..very sexy

venus in sco is way more possessive intense and does not reflect the venusian superficial pleasing qualities... and along with that the sco sun conj!.. it would be hard to believe that person would be shallow...

im also a sun/venus conj person - in Virgo in the 11th.

im the less shallow person i know ...if sth makes me hungry in life than itīs when one judge otherīs by appearance or social status...arghhhh!Makes me wanna vommit in his/her face actually...!

when im working at the store i just love to see all those "fancy" women (most of them are women)who think to be the most inteligent,rich and faschionable...(right--)they are the 1st ones to pick the most ugly clothes from the whole store just because its the most expensive!!!And then when they look at the price..well lets say they all put it right back in the place and say "Hmm i am not goint to buy cause itīs not really my type..."
Thatīs it:itīs right when i say "some people arent born to have a refined taste".

i do not think people with sun/ven cj are shallow:we are just people with good taste,and yup i can pick up the most expensive thing in a row without knowing its price .its a matter of skills but i wont pick sth by being fashinable or just by its price-its cause i like it and i identify with.
btw i love vintage and i dress my mother+s clothes of her 50īs decade!

I dont really like to go on a party or a dinner just to get along with the popular people-usually i am on my own,observing and taking my own conclusions of all that are there:i love to dissec what other are thinking or about to do.Itīs very interesting game to do with a bunch of people in the same place.

I do not care about social status and stuff like that, but I am AWARE of them, and the fact that people can judge others based on them.

I think you need to look at the entire, chart, as usual. I have Jupiter conjunct Moon, conjunct Mars, square Mercury, so I am more open-minded than that.
Plus a cluster of planets in the 9th house, again..I value so many things more than social status, and looks.
In fact I really do not ever judge others based on looks.

What you are describing has nothing to do with Sun conj Venus. this softens sun sign to become a very gentle person inside

If you want to post few charts of these people I will find exactly which aspect or Asc accounts for these traits, you dislike so much...
