Any other binding aspects in synastry, besides the well known Saturn?

Here's one:

I think Asc conjunct Asc is supposed to be some heavy glue.

I think any angle conjunct any angle (AC, DC, MC, IC) creates not only Saturn-like staying power, but also intensity. I'm not sure why, but it's something I notice in synastry of long-term couples and couples with mutual connection. I have also noticed it applies when the orb is relatively wide. When I peek at a synastry and any angles seem nearly lined up, it's a nice sign of mutual connection.

Exact nodal contacts with a tight orb can be glue-y, too.

And, planets conjunct the other person's angles--not just personal planets, but also Mr. Pluto--in regular, progressed or Draconic synastry.

I think ones luminaries in tight aspect to the others sun/moon midpoint is pretty binding.

Nodal contacts have that 'cement boot' type of feeling too.

Tight oppositions esp AC/AC
anything important on IC

I wonder if one's sun conjunct exact the composite AC would be binding?

Personally, i'd say 2/3 degrees.

Depends though, maybe 4 degrees.

For instance l have my NN, venus, moon and saturn opposing my gun man's IC @ 3,6,3,2 degrees. I wouldn't count the venus @6' though.

NN on IC is good but l think SN on IC is better cos NN is lessons of now which i'm not sure i'd want on my most inner point.
Not sure actually!

Steve Gunn was amazing!! He didn't do any healing, no. He gave me some affirmations though.

yes the lessons of now in the most inner point are... painful!!!!
is like an endless root canal of the soul!

so in the reading he does predictions too?
or how does he work?

thanx!

LARA,

If Venus is conjunct planets that are opposed,
you may consider Venus to be opposed, as well,
even if the orb of opposition to Venus is wide.

Alia,

I've been read twice by Steve Gunn with respect to one of these "SM" situations and in my case he made no predictions for us, just confirmed the energy between us and gave me a reason for the meeting and the types of interactions we were having from a personal growth perspective. I think everybody's reading would be different, of course, but I don't think he's big on predictions.

If you care to e-mail me, I have another suggestion for you in terms of this kind of reading.

Personally I like NN on IC.

I also would consider conjunctions to the angles with max. 4 degree, BUT of course if there is already a stellium of planets there, the other might draw this planet in.
Yet, the most exact aspects will be the strongest.

What about a close sun conjunct asc or desc?? I've noticed this to be a powerful attracter and a kind of glue.

Conjunctions in general.

In one of my cases, Sun conjunct Moon and our ASC's opposite.

I'm also curious about that, but the opposite - one's Sun in exact conjunct with the composite DC. X3
Also, one's AC exact conjunct with the composite IC.

But well, while AC/DC conjunctions (meaning opposite ACs) in synastry seems more of an "ideal partner" glue, I'd say IC/MC conjunctions (meaning opposite ICs) can have a "sharing daily life together" glue (or something like that ^_^; ).

Major glue - Someone touching your natal narrow hard aspects, especially the narrowest one. From my (limited) research, significant relationships of all kinds feature this type of contact.

I agree to 100% with the ASC/DSC and/or IC/MC-overlay!

Also widely known (and justified by my own humble experience): Pluto cj. Venus as well as NN cj. Vertex as well as a personal planet (like Venus) cj. the other person's SN.
