Maybe earth people just like authenticity, I don't know why that's a crime.
Did you misread my post? Every virtue has an opposite vice... The appreciation of authenticity is one of the greatest features of the earth element. However, my post was talking about cynicism and people who are so afraid of being fooled that they casually poo-poo all sorts of things which, upon closer examination, prove highly authentic. Thank you for understanding.

The one on 'the artisan' isn't exactly glorified.. if you dug deeper than just the libran superficiality and appreciation of beauty, you'd find something else. Just that most people tend to only see it's surface side. Ironic, considering the writer is a sign to dig deeper, no?IP: Logged |

it is what it is! lets just appreciate it. we could pick apart anyones interpretation of sun sings for days. it was a creative post and valus as a writer and artist type person can create anything as his writing is his art. creativitiy should not be stifled or made to be "right" of politically correct all of the time. if the artist strives for that, he will never have a great work. i think we should appreciate it for what it is. art should be appreciated, not picked apart. I think those art pieces that are appreciated by the bearers are of the signs the author is biased towards. It definitely is an artistic rendition of boxes, but not devoid of author's biasness towards certain signs.Nothing wrong with that, just pointing it out. IP: Logged |

Fleur,You're welcome to your opinion, but I can assure you that these little snip-its are not, and were never intended to be, my last word (let alone the last word) on the signs. I do not claim to have encapsulated their essence in a few lines. These little blurbs were intended to be fun and, hopefully, as a bonus, to provide a little insight. My intention was never to hurt anyone's feelings. If there is bias it is partly because I did not make a serious effort to give all the signs a fair shake, since, as I said, this isnt meant to be taken too seriously. Also, bias is human, and I can only write from my personal experience. As a Scorpio, it makes sense for me to see Libra (and all the other signs, lol) as somewhat superficial and appearance oriented. However, with my Sun sign ruler (Pluto) in Libra dynamically aspecting my Ascendant, and with Venus conjunct my Sun, Uranus, and Midheaven, -- believe it or not, I am no stranger to the deeper significance of this sign. One of my favorite writers (thinkers, artists, and human beings) is Friedrich Nietzsche, who happens to be a Libra, and also one of the deepest people I know of. His ability to see through the eyes of others is perhaps matched only by Shakespeare, who has a Libra Moon. Most importantly, for me, Libra is the sign of the dialectic. I could write you a dissertation on what this means, and it would take me pages and pages to communicate all my thoughts and impressions of the Libran archetype. I would say that it is one of my favorite signs, but, really, they are all my favorites. Whichever one I am thinking about at the moment has a special place in my heart. Maybe its my Pisces South Node, but, I love them all, and I see them all as necessary, each with positive and negative attributes to be exposed. I hope that clarifies things for you a little bit. Peace

Thanks, everybody. I dont mind the constructive criticism. Nobody is asked to swallow my creations whole. It pleases me only if it makes them smile and/or gets them thinking; even in a defensive way. What bothers me is when people jump to conclusions without thinking. I just wish they would have a little doubt, and then give me the benefit of it; say, "it looks kind of like this or that", and then wait for me to explain my intentions and how I see it before passing judgement. That's all. Love to all

Thanks, Valus for clarifying.May I also add that venus is also the symbol for love, and in an ideal situation, it is not hollow or a facade. One reason libra beautifies is due to an external reflection of their happiness or love for something or someone; more likely reflecting their inner contentment and happy spirit. IP: Logged |

I read all of the ones for the signs my inner planets are in, and they're all true. First thing I'd do is decorate the box (Libra Moon), and yeah, put my name on it and probably the initials of a crush or something (Leo sun) in a small place where only I could see it, and then organize the crap out of the inside of it (Virgo Venus), and then get really weird, possessive and territorial about the box (Cancer Mars). Then...every so often I probably would gut the thing and dump out all the contents (chart ruler in Scorp) before discarding some, adding some new ones, and arranging the inside again (Virgo Venus).IP: Logged |
