So, I was hoping all sorts of interesting things would happen to me with that July 22 eclipse exactly conjoining my Venus in the 7th house.

But nothing did.

This August 5 eclipse is the last one. I haven't noticed ANYTHING in my life. Eclipses used to always bring intense things (like the last time a solar one hit my 7th the way the July 22 one did, I had a very romantic first-time hookup with the guy I had a desperate, intense crush on--and then we stayed together for 14 years. That is the kind of eclipse action I look for--consummated lust, creative breakthroughs, etc.)

I'm so tired of all this NOTHING. Am I invisible or something? Did I die and not notice it, and I'm just walking around the world invisible? It's like other people (other than creepy street harassers) don't even notice me. Is it Pluto transiting my 12th house?

Other Cancer-in-7th people--how were the last two eclipses for you?

Is it hitting any planets? If the eclipses don't hit planets or angles they aren't very noticeable. ETA I now see it was right on your venus. See below...

Also, the effects aren't always felt immediately. It can be months later.

They really affected me, but it was only one degree away from my IC/MC axis.

Seriously, just be glad nothing bad happened.

I hope that positive stuff happens for everybody. Further, I don't want to experience any more destabilizing effects either...

Lucia, I hope you have that romance you were waiting for! I feel the same though.

I think that the even if nothing seems to happen right when the eclipse occurs, it sets the stage for the significant "something" to happen later on (at least when you have personal planets and angles affected by the eclipse). So Lucia, don't give up hope yet!

The solar eclipse was conjunct my moon and Midheaven. It was also exactly conjunct my solar return descendant (to the minute, at 29'27 Cancer). I got hit by a car a few days after the eclipse and was lucky to not have died. I'll probably start a thread on that in a bit.

Yikes, Origami! I'm so glad you're alright!!

I've never had anything bad happen during an eclipse (knock an wood), just good stuff. So I will hold out hope that the stage is being set for wonderfulness at some later date...

Wishing all of you a very happy August 5 eclipse.

Just noticed this eclipse is a couple of degrees away from my Vertex-Antivertex. Wonder what THAT means.

Even though sometimes a lot of things happen in the outer world with ecclipses, I noticed that in my case they have a tremendous influence on INNER transformations or happenings.

And I believe that first something must shift INSIDE you, before the outer world reflects that.
Sometimes the outer happenings will push you towards an inner development, you have not been aware of.

Lucia,

maybe you are trying too hard?
Just relax and enjoy your life as it is NOW; learn to have a love relaationship with YOU, I meann really really appreciate yourself, not just your body OR your mind or your heart, but everything alltogether.

You ARE loved, even though there may not be a romance round the corner.

To me usually if I expect something to happen, astrologically, and it does not, it is a clear signal, that there is something I fail to notice, something I have to learn.

Maybe this is the time for you to be alone with yourself and not being distracted by romance.

It will come when you are really ready for it. That it is not in your life, is a sign, that something inside you may not be ready for it right now, even though you consciously think you are.

Just give yourself time. Maybe enjoy your time with people, even men, without any expectations, it puts too much stress on you and the other ones.

This ecclipse is conjunct my Moon, and I feel like it has set the stage for working on my inner image of the feminine archetype in general terms, with my emotions and all that.
I also noticed that a lot people of the past come flocking back into my life, especially women. I actually met my eldest friend, I have not seen for years, yesterday, and her Sun is conjunct my Moon, and thus also triggered by the ecclipse.

I assume, if the ecclipse hits your Venus, it will confront you with your values and your perception of the feminine archetype in relationship and erotic terms, be it through a new romance or the complete lack of it.
Maybe you are forced to reevaluate old perceptions of yourself as a woman.

Good advice, DD, thank you! The eclipse series hit my Moon-Saturn-DC (loosely), Venus (exact), now Vertex-Antivertex (2 degrees), all in my 7th house...I think your interpretation is right on.

I personally am going through an inner crisis. The solar eclipse on the 22nd was conjunct my vertex in the 8th house.

The T. Sun returned to its natal spot in my chart last week, which is in the 8th house, I seem to always have some internal dilemma during this time, so I'm not sure if it the eclipses or not.

This last one will be located in my 2nd house, exactly sextile my Ascendant while also opposite natal Sun.

Not sure what this means, all I can say is my self worth is pretty slim at the moment, since I have nothing to do, thanks to losing my job!

Did you look to where Uranus is natally and transitting? Has anything cropped up or intensified where transitting Uranus is at in your chart? Is the place where Uranus is natally in your chart being understood and accepted?

Did you look to where the Sun is natally and transitting in your chart? Has anything died down or mellowed out where transitting Sun is at in your chart? Does where Sun is natally in your chart finally feel like it's no longer bombarded or cornered but a clearer path layed out ahead?

It feels like this for me. As far as where this lunar eclipse/full moon in aquarius - is the place where it will take place in your chart suddenly giving you insight into what about this particular house is causing you deep frustration and/or acceptance to the point where you've been given insight and "help" into what your next move should be?

I think I'll be ready for this eclipse, though love wise well there are no love interests that I know of but then again I am somewhere new.

Effects of eclipses are not necessarily shown right away. I have seen cases where it took a couple of months for something to happen.

"Just noticed this eclipse is a couple of degrees away from my Vertex-Antivertex. Wonder what THAT means."

same here, Lucia.

I guess our vertexes conjunct each other. That's cool how we Lindalanders have strong synastry connections which shows our comraderie in here.

my Vertex/Antivertex axis is in 14'58 Aquarius/Leo in 5th and 11th houses

my Ceres is in 13'57 Leo in 11th

so the eclipse will be directly hitting my Ceres-Vertex opposition.

hey, DD

do you think the eclipse opposing my Ceres might be similar to eclipse oppose Moon except more practical, earthy?

I also wonder about events involving my mother. Ceres is going to play a big part in my upcoming lunar return period starting August 7th with lunar return Sun conjunct natal Ceres and my next solar return period starting October 28th with Sun conjunct Ceres.

It seems like mother, nurturing will be in high focus in my life.

Transiting Ceres entered Libra yesterday, and its conjuncting my Pluto in 0'51 in Libra in 1st.

maybe I will just eat a lot more cereal.
hahahahaha

from eric francis's website re this eclipse, interesting!

"Wednesday’s eclipse is conjunct Nessus, though what I missed and what Tracy point out is that it’s also conjunct Psyche. She had a gander through her charts files and the only chart she could come up with that had Moon, Nessus and Psyche was that of George Lucas"

eric francis is a great astrologer. thanks to cpn winner for introducing me to him!

"Moon, Nessus and Psyche was that of George Lucas"

that makes sense

when you think of his Star Wars saga

he writes about priestly warriors with psychic abilities, and they are called Jedi Knights.

Anakin Skywalker who ends up becoming Darth Vader was a mama's boy that seemed to have Oedipus complex. His issues with emotional attachment led him to vengefully kill the Tusken Raiders for torturing his mother to death, be obsessed with Padme (brown-eyed brunette like his mother,Shmi) for many years leading to a forbidden romance/secret marriage (Jedis were supposed to practice detachment) with her, and fear of losing her to death like he lost his mother made it easy for Palpatine/Darth Sidius to manipulate him into joining the Sith even though he was the chosen one, destined to destroy the Sith.

I would say that Star Wars was a great outlet for his Moon-Nessus-Psyche conjunction.

My Vertex is at 15 degrees 27 inches Leo in my 7th house, loosely conjunct my (8th house) Leo Mercury...so I guess my Vertex is conjunct your Antivertex, Raymond.

Wonder if my Mercury (which is conjunct my Sun) will be effected by tomorrow's eclipse, too.

very cool!

kinda like Descendant conjunct Ascendant for Vertex is said to be an auxilliary Descendant and Antivertex is said to be an auxilliary Ascendant

Looks like it will be hitting my Vertex at 15'42 Leo (8th), trine/sextile my Mercury at 15'23 Sag and Neptune 17'07 Sag (12th) and my (wide) Pluto 17'58 Libra (9th conjunct MC), and square (wide) my Uranus 17'06 Scorpio (10th)...

Interesting... Oh well, life is what it is and brings what it brings. I have made it through a Saturn return in my 8th house and Pluto is finishing off my 12th. Saturn is finally in my 9th and bee lining for my NNode, so bring it... If I've got something to learn or do, then there is no time like the present.

My ASC is at 13 deg Leo, so Lucia's Vertex and Raymond's Anti-Vertex practically conjunct it (within the 2 deg orb).

My Sun-Moon MP is at 13'51 Leo/Aquarius so it conjuncts everybody's everything!

This should be fun; the solar eclipse opposed my Ascendant and squared my Pluto, both within 1 degree, but good things have come from it so far.
