I had the same thought when I read that article - that it would make more sense for the dwad person to be the one more affected.

With my Rising sign in the Cancer sign it is best to look to what the Moon is doing in my chart. So what I have found is that my Moon is in Pisces and in the 9th house. Next thing to do is to see if there are any major aspects it makes and if it makes any aspects with the Rising sign it self. That would help dictate right off the bat how My Cancer rising may come off to the world.Rising signs are very very self oriented points also. They show self-consciousness and how you may express yourself and your self-awareness. With the Moon in that very Mutable and sensitive sign of Pisces it becomes quiet evident that I am quiet the psychic sponge and I pick up psychic feelings and the subtle and invisible energy around my environment as well as the emotional content in my environment. With the Moon in Pisces(and in the Pure Pisces dwadachamsha degree)a trine to the Cancer rising sign in it's Cancer Dwadachamsha degree those energies can relay to each other exactly how they are and can play up the fullest of their energies(unless aspected in a way suggesting otherwise).So we have the trine which relays gifts and talents and also (laziness:P)and just a natural flow of energy in between my personality and conscious focus(rising) and my emotions and intuitions and feelings it is clear there is a natural ability for Empathy and understanding of those I may come into contact with as well as being all to aware of my own emotions and seeing them for what they are. There is just a nice flow of nurturing(cancer) and psychic feeling(pisces) energies which show just a very sensitive nature that everyone may see but, that I am all too aware of. Add in the 9th house(moon placement) to this and we have the added Spiritual reinforcement as well as the other things the Ninth house represents. It represents honesty and Truth Seeking as well as Prophecy and the Higher Mind.These feelings and whatnot from the Moon are not only acting out in that area of my life but, it is in a beautiful connection to what I give off to others and to my conscious focus and self.So the Cancer energy comes into play with it's ability to go back in the past and it may cling onto things from the past a bit too often but,with the trine of course I don't think about myself doing that and I don't see it as a bad thing anyhow!It is important to look at what aspects this ruler makes also! My Moon makes a Square to Mercury in the 12th house which represent a challenge between emotions(Mercury) and Feelings(Moon) and with that aspect applying it becomes of even more importance. So we have mercury here acting on the Moon because of the speed of Mercury being slower than the Moon. So the thoughts and Logic and Left brain is being impressed on to that feeling and right brain energy which is subconscious. I can't say that I feel that this is anything bad except for the fact that I annoyingly rationalize my feelings and love to talk about feelings and explain them and everything! Along with the emphasis I put on them! I feel that if this challenge(square) was there I wouldn't openly discuss my Mediumship and Psychic Abilities(Mercury in Gemini in the 12th house) and I wouldn't have been using them as I have with the Public like this and of course this comes to the fore with the Public because of the Moon being so elevated being in a conjunction to the MidHeaven in Pisces. It all adds up to my Sense of self being in total conjunction with who I am emotionally and in my head and also having to deal with the emotional and mutable energy(changing emotions).

Omg I just noticed how much I went on and on and on. Lol!! Oh well there is a lot to Astrology and it is fun to get in depth with it! Which is why I love the Dwadachamshas so much!!
I feel like a crazy person now! Lmfao!

I read about Duads in another forum; there is an astrologer who thinks they are the explanation for attraction and onesided attraction.
If I don`t stimulate your Duads (if I were a man), you wouldn`t feel the slightest attraction to me.

Well, if that is true, or the only reason, I don´t know, but I have checked some charts, and they DO seem to interact. Of course I have only looked at 3 charts so far. lol.
