Why? Well like I said, Cancer Mooners do NOT have a low sex drive... They just want to take their time in a way that drives more impatient signs CRAZY!! (Aries Venus here) And by take their time I mean it could be MONTHS before he makes a move on you unless you initiate... Speaking from experience.

About the whole "lying together in the same bed" thing, while he seems to not even have the slightest impulse to touch you?? Been there as well with my Cancer Moon Man. I remember it quite vividly: He invites me over to his house (and like you I don't consider myself unattractive at all either), we end up laying on his bed watching a movie and just talking, and we're like 2 feet apart mind you... I for sure think that this will end up going somewhere that night, but what do ya know... NOTHING!!! He just lays there completely complacent and while I subtly try to inch my body closer to him, he just doesn't get the message! It was so confusing!!! I was like, ok, so are we just friends? or is he gay? or... I'm out of ideas... It's gotta be one of the two right? So my very tactful (sarcasm) Aries Venus asks: "Wow, you know the last time I was laying in the same bed with a guy things went QUITE differently... So have you ever been with other men?" Needless to say, I hurt his feelings, so I wouldn't recommend being so blunt, but I knew I had to take things into my own hands.

Any ideas or experiences out there about Saturn in relation to sex drive?

Does it suppress the drive. Or prolong the outcome (I mean, over days/weeks ). Is it just more earthy or security-focused?

Anxiety around sex? Performance anxiety? Needs to have a sense of purpose, maybe? Spontaneity is an issue? Needs to plan for it?

What about the ruler of the Mars placement? Mars in Capricorn, Mars in XYZ, and ruler of XYZ in Cap, or, Saturn in Aires?

I'm curious about a friend who has Saturn in Aries (which is also opposite natal Mars).

Can anyone help me with this?

hypatia238 - maaaybe. I consider that Uranus transforms the Mars energy away from earthy things that are of the body. Obviously and always depending on the rest of the chart and also the age/life development stage of the person.

I do believe this is the case with Neptune too. Both want to transcend the body "base" desires.

There is definitely something up with sex and aquarius and having a low sex drive when Mars or the 8th is involved, the detachment of aquarius around sex is manifesting IMO or the "unexpected" low sex drive bc in an unconscious way aquarius/uranus is rebelling against society's obsession and strong expectations around sex. Aquarius is rebelling and saying "I am doing my own thing" and "SEX DOES NOT HAVE POWER OVER ME" which in a society obsessed with sex abstaining from sex is an act of rebellion (e.g independence from the power of sex in a sense too plays into it as an unconscious motivation to abstain), again I feel this is all playing out in an unconscious way though.

Making out is my favorite thing but I feel most people dont' care about making out which is mind blowing to me, is the gateway to good sex bc it allows for romance, for emotions to get heightened and to get lost in the other and really connect.

Sex complicates things, it makes you feel closer to someone and the more attached you feel to them the more "power" they have over you and aquarius values freedom and does not want anything to have power over them so they unconsciously avoid sex.

I think it has to do with my Aqua and Saturn (blockage and delay) too.

But honestly I think people with Uranus aspects are kind of misunderstood unless I'm like that because of heavy Neptune in my chart.
I don't like being a rebel, I don't find it cool, I also don't particularly like different per se but I do like original.. Original doesn't mean different.. your original self may be similar to another person and that's completely fine as long as you are indeed yourself. I have a huge problem with people not being themselves and I can not tell you how intensely I feel it. I'm talking about even mini unimportant gestures. I just sense it intensely and it irritates me a lot.
I don't like how cheap and easy sex has become and this has to do more with the Pluto in 5th H of fun, casual sex and romance plus Pluto square Mars and Venus (so for me it's serious-deep bussiness) and the heavy Neptunian energy and my watery chart which wants strong emotions, likes more to fantasize than actually doing it.
Uranus is mental.
I find Uranus and Neptune similar in many ways.. they both prefer fantasizing for different reasons than actually doing smth. Both need space again for different reasons. Uranus because is suffocating, wants to feel free and finds pleasure by mental stimulation while Neptune needs space because loves longing for something more than actually having it or it needs distance in order to be able to prolong that magic first phase as long as possible by delaying reality which equals to disappointment.

Those are the planets that have the most difficulty with reality.

There are more aspects planets leading to this feeling you described about being tired of how sex obsessed society wants to make human nature appear. That is not close to reality though.. That is the minority of people. However even if society had a different approach about sex I would feel the same about it when it comes to me. Do I make sense?

Same here actually. I am mostly turned on by kissing and making out then the actual act. I don’t Id mind being in a relationship with just the romantic and sensual aspect. I don’t see myself engaging in sexual intercourse very often that sounds tiring. And even then I wonder if the fantasy is more exciting than the actual act.
It’s weird too but I also have Venus Square Pluto like the OPs man of interest. Venus square pluto is supposed to have a high sex drive I think?

Similar to Mars in 12th or Neptune in 8th(since Mars co-rules the 8th house too).

Sometimes I feel like the exaltation of Mars in Cap is not smooth sailing when it comes yo sex.

Naturally Cap puts pressure(because of Saturnian energy) And sex is an activity that requires one to just "flow with it".

So Cap can increasingly become resistant to that " flow with it" vice. So sex may make them feel pressurized to "perform" and be less enjoyable.

Maybe Neptune/Mars conjunct in Cap can have a thing for fantasy/illusion or role playing? As Neptune is often associated with escape and could lessen the heavy handed nature of Mars in Cap.

Can he knock that off? As there is a tendency for Neptune to ingest what happens to another and maintain "since it happened to my neighbor. It most definitely can and will happen to me" etc.

Television is the worst form of passive information feeding and Neptune types are the most vulnerable to it.

If he is afraid of death. It is likely coming from the outside in and not the inside out. Because as I said, Neptune is highly impressionable to external stimuli. Up to a point where it can accept it as "truth" if inner awareness is not strong.

Would he be interested in reading "Life after death" types of books? Where those who have had "near death" experiences talk more positively about passing over?

I find that that helped me deal with guilt and fear around death. Because at the time I was wrestling with my sexuality and thought myself going to "hell". Blah, blah,blah.

Those types of books released me from the fear and made death less intimidating. I recall " Dying to Live" being a title I read once. Although I am not clear of the author anymore.
