I know, I know! Everybody raves on and on about how amazing the Venus / Mars conjunction is to have between a man and woman. This is said to be the #1 aspect for romantic and sexual attraction, but from my own experience, I beg to differ.

I Gotta tell ya, I have had the Venus / Mars conjunction with a woman, and now recently, I have the Eros / Psyche conjunction with a woman. The Eros / Psyche conjunction is divine.

Granted, with the Venus / Mars conjunction, we did enjoy having sex, but the Eros / Psyche conjunction has been a transformative religious and spiritual experience. I have never known anything that came close to this before in my life!

Now too, we also have a Venus / Pluto conjunction and a Mars / Moon conjunction, and these may add something, but what would cause her to read my mind and know my exact thoughts? Psyche! It has to be Psyche!

It is my view that as we evolve and raise our conscious awareness through the chakras, we become more sensitive to asteroid energy.

Anyone can feel the Venus / Mars contact, as so many do, but I think you have to be a grown-up to handle what Eros / Psyche collectively bring to the table. I will never be able to view Reality, God, or relationships between men and women in the same way ever again.

Folks, I believe there is more going on than we realize and if you don't stop to look around once in awhile, you could miss it.

I've had Venus-Mars many many times in my life and it is still happening lol

Usually the conjunction or the opposition (my Venus - his Mars). The dynamic is very different when the male is the Venus person..

I get the feeling, reading your post - that in the Venus/Mars aspect you were the Venus person.. and.. in the current Moon/Mars aspect you are the Mars.

Is this correct? Or is it my intuition playing up? LOL

Anyhow - I definitely agree with you. Venus/Mars is sexual and attractive but I didn't personally feel any depth to this aspect. It's very animalistic and it can blow hot or cold. You need other things to make a relationship last.

I would love to experience an Eros/Psyche conjunction. As far as I know, I haven't yet, but I've only just started checking asteroid connections.

Vapor - Lash: I have had Venus / Mars both ways, but the time I remember best was when I was the Mars and she was the Venus (Aquarius).

Please tell me, what is the difference when the male is the Venus? I mean, I have read what astrology says the difference is, but can you describe it to me from your experience?

Very intuitive of you! Yes, in the Moon / Mars conjunction I am, in fact, the Mars person. How could you tell?

Polo - Well..

You seem very fascinated with the Psyche girl both emotionally and sexually - but - primarily on an emotional/soul level.
It's a very sweet fascination and love - It flies of the page.. One could tell that you really care about her

However when you talked about your Venus/Mars ex, she seemed forgotten.
I do agree that Venus/Mars is mainly sexual and not so lovey dovey but usually the people involved remember each other for the connection they shared.

You seemed very detached mentioning her so I thought it may be because she was the Mars & you were the Venus (I've noticed this to be less "strong" in my experiences)
But perhaps it was not very close in degree.. could you tell me the orb? I'm just curious.

With your current SO - you seem extremely involved, and my gut feeling was you were the Mars in Mars/Moon. I shared this aspect with my ex, in Capricorn. We are still close-friends and we had a strong attraction, which was more emotional than Venus/Mars.

I guess I'm kind of "old school" on this, because I do believe that men express their Mars more easily/naturally, so the connection seems to have a better flow. This is only based on my own experience with Mars/Venus and Mars/Moon. We've had a few other threads in the past on Venus/Mars and many knowflakes have different opinions. I remember a few women saying that they did not find the conjunction all that compelling and they preferred the opposition or square.. and other women saying that they prefer it when they are the Mars (I honestly can't recall any guys posting on this topic lol)..

Ultimately, I might prefer the Mars/Venus when they are Mars due to my own sexual desires (which probably come from a mixture of aspects, life-experience and whatever else - note: consult Freud! Lol).. so it could very well be a subjective thing.

Vapor-Lash, you ain't kidding! The emotion is all consuming! The more we try to repress or hide them, the more they try to burst through. Sometimes we shake like a dam when it's about to break. If I have ever met or have been involved with anyone like this before, I wasn't conscious enough to recognize or appreciate it, but this time I AM WATCHIN!

But perhaps it was not very close in degree.. could you tell me the orb? I'm just curious.

It was at about a 9 degree orb. The relationship lasted for approximately two years. The entire time though, I never really felt that we were connected. I even mentioned it to her in the car once and she was like "What do you mean?" I just told her I felt like something was missing and only now, eight years later, have I finally come to understand what it was. The deeper, soulful connection that cannot be created consciously in the mind, but happens only by spiritual design. A merging of the essences between two people. Now that's something! What God has joined together let no man pull apart. I get it now.

quote:
However when you talked about your Venus/Mars ex, she seemed forgotten.

Oh, I definitely do remember her. It was a very significant relationship that definitely took me from the ice to the water (considering the three states of matter), but only now have I come to know the union of steam.

Actually, in this relationship, I am the Psyche and she is the Eros... At least with the conjunction. In our Eros / Psyche trine, I am the Eros.

P.S. How did you do the quotes?

Yeah no, Moon/Mars ESPECIALLY if it involves Venus/Pluto would equal mind blowing sex. Probably why it trumps Venus/Mars. Venus/Mars is good for sex, but it is also good for general companionship.

I have Venus conjunct Mars and Sun conjunct Moon (I am Venus and Moon) with one of my roommates (he is a guy) and we have a very comfortable affectionate relationship with each other. It almost feels like we're married. It's strictly platonic because we have other partners, but it does bring easy attraction. Venus/Pluto and Moon/Mars is SPICY, on the other hand.

Edit: I just read your other post and personally, 9 degrees is too wide for synastry.

quote:
Jane: I'm a huge Eros/Psyche fan. Eros is what got me more seriously interested in astrology a few years ago.

Same her Jane. The Eros / Psyche conjunction has turned me into a novice astrologer myself. I think it's fascinating.

quote:
Jane:And you could say Eros/Psyche is what gets me seriously attracted. I've had tight Eros/Psyche aspects with every guy I've been in a sexual relationship with: trine, semisquare, opposition, and conjunction.

Well Jane, you know it is said that with these asteroids, only the conjunctions, oppositions and squares have real effects. Trines too, but to a much lesser degree.

quote:
Jane: I noticed not long ago that I also have this cnj with someone who I'm not at all attracted to and not even that fond of. To be honest, I was disgusted to see that we had my favorite asteroid paring. He does claim to have strong feelings for me. Other things in our synastry show the connection as one-sided.

Really Jane? Hmmm. What is it in the chart that indicates that the feelings would be one-sided?

quote:
Jane: So I guess from that, we could say that these aspects will filter how the people experience the whole synastry. If the synastry as a whole doesn't show an attraction towards the other person, Eros/Psyche won't make one appear. But if the synastry does show a strong attraction, Eros/Psyche will deepen, spiritualize, and impassion the connection. A Moon-Mars cnj, for example, will feel the influence of the Eros/Psyche aspect. There will be a stronger "You're the love of my life!" feel to it, than without the Eros/Psyche influence. (I hypothesize.)

That is an interesting assessment, or hypothesis Jane, but it does ring true. As I said above, there is a Mars / Venus conj. in our synastry and we both do feel exactly as you've described. Wow! It's unavoidable. Then there is the Venus / Pluto conj. and square, so if what you're saying in your hypothesis is correct, then the affect of Eros / Psyche conj. on all of this renders me completely helpless. Like my mind and life are not my own, but orchestrated by something much grander than myself... Some higher power with it's own agenda.

quote:
Jane: How are Eros and Psyche aspected for you natallly, Polo? What signs and houses, too?

My Eros (virgo) / My Psyche (leo) so that's semisextile, right? My Eros (virgo) conj. Sun, Pluto and Juno in my 3rd House. My Psyche (leo) conj. my south node and is in my 1st and 2nd House

Let me ask you this Jane. In your Eros / Psyche relationships, how was the conjunction different from the opposition?

Psyche has a deeper, intuitive, gentle and innocent aspect and differs very much from Venus, who is more sensual and even superficial at times.

But that is just based on the myth. I am still struggling with the idea that asteroids should have stronger effects than planets.

It is hard to say, as so many things are playing together in every synastry. You never have ONLY a Venus-Mars conjunction or Eros-Psyche-conjunction.

amowls: What is the orb cut off point then? Currently my Moon / Mars conjunction is at 2.81 degrees and my Eros / Psyche conjunction is at 4.95 degrees.

If this counts for anything, my Psyche conj. her Juno at 0.06 degrees. I think that's the tightest aspect we have. Now that I'm thinking about it, what is the interplay between Juno and Psyche anyway. Psyche = soul / Juno = ideal husband. Hmmm. Would this mean that she sees me as an ideal husband because of my soul? If so, that's a great thing isn't it?

I know you didn`t ask me, but personally I cut the orbs at 3 degrees, unless they are aspecting several planets and at least one is within 3 degree orb.

My reasoning for this is the moon. The time a fullmoon is considered full equals 3 degrees applying and 3 degrees separating. It never exceeds these 3 degrees.

And since astrology has been derived from the observation of the relation between Sun and Moon and stars / planets, I thought that was a reasonable reason.

Of course having Venus and Mars in the same signs still gives some kind of "background-noise".

Anyway, I would think your Juno-Psyche-conjunction is what gives you that feeling of soulfulness,e specially with this tight orb.

DD: That's true, but I don't think I would even be here posting on this board if not for the Eros / Psyche conjunction. I have been shaken to the core by the examples of both synchronicity and telepathy that I have encountered over the course of two years with this. As I have said in another post, there is definitely more unseen than is seen.

My theory is that the inner planets have more influence over what is seen and controlled by the conscious mind. The outer planets deal with the subconscious mind. I believe the asteroids have an effect on the super-conscious spiritual aspect of an individual. For this reason, it would take a greater level of awareness to notice and respond to this deeper, more subtle energy.

Guys, what is your take on the following aspects:

Woman's Lilith conjunct Man's Eros (Tau)
Woman's Eros (and s.node) conjunct Man's Mars (Libra)

Woman's Pluto (and Ur) conj Man's Psyche
Woman's Psyche conj Man's Jupiter (Sco)

There's lots more but we are talking about Eros/Psyche here.

Here are our tightest conjunctions under 6 degrees moving from my chart to hers.

Sun / Mars (2.80)

Sun / Aphrodite (2.20)

Moon / Pluto (5.28)

Mars / Moon (3.65)

Pluto / Mars (4.72)

Pluto / Aphrodite (4.12)

North Node / Moon (2.66)

Juno / Jupiter (4.47)

Eros / Mars (2.61)

Eros / Aphrodite (2.01)

Psyche / North Node (2.67)

Psyche / Juno (0.06)

Psyche / Eros (4.95)

Vertex / Neptune (1.48)

What explains the telepathy and synchronicity? Which conjunctions are the culprit?

Lol I was just about to say "but I bet your Moon/Mars is closer in orb!" I believe you can feel a sign-only conjunction regardless of the orb.. but it is not exactly the same. The closer the orb is, the more immediate and intense the connection feels.

Lets say we had a somewhat unrealistic competition (because as DD mentioned there are a number of significant aspects and the entire charts should be taken into account) - The winner is the aspect that generates most sexual & emotional attraction.

- Contestant no 1.. is your Venus/Mars conjunction in Aquarius (9 degree orb).
- Contestant no 2.. is your current Moon/Mars conjunction in Aquarius (3 degree orb).

In this situation, it's clear to me that Moon/Mars has the advantage and would most probably "win". But it is also clear that Moon/Mars is given a considerable head-start. So it's a little unfair on the Venus/Mars conjunction to say it *lost* lol

The reason I picked up on this is the smallest thing really.. As I said I've had a close Venus/Mars conjunction in synastry.. and also a close Moon/Mars conjunction, with the guy as Mars in both. Even though they were different (one more sexual and the other more emotional) - They were no less intense.

I could not type a sentence about my Venus/Mars guy saying "we did enjoy sex.. BUT"
If I was honest I'd have to say "we had mind blowing, earth shattering, out of this world sex.. BUT"

So the detachment in that sentence made me wonder. In as much as you feel a strong emotional connection to this girl, if you took all of the positive things you said about her and somehow put a sexual spin on them - these would be the kinds of things I would say about my Venus/Mars guy. It's just a matter of degree of intensity. I don't want to down-play the Venus/Mars connection entirely.

I place more weight on the emotional side of things, but I cannot dismiss that *kind* of sexuality. With the Venus/Mars guy, even eye contact felt like we were having sex (seriously! Lol). With a 9 degree orb you probably enjoyed this attraction and it felt "nice".. but maybe it was not as immediate and intense, hence your slight detachment..

Absolutely spot on! Not only Asteroid Energy but also Centaurs, Fixed Stars and Galactic/Super Galactic Centre.

And you are feeling PSYCHE-JUNO more strongly than PSYCHE-EROS. She is felt by you as your ideal wife. She is feeling her Mars to your EROS the most.

Well... I wouldn't say that exactly. In fact, that's just it! the relationship was primarily sex, but like I said, something was missing on the emotional and spiritual level. I think only now i am aware enough to recognize the feeling of having all three, but the spiritual aspect seems to be the strongest, followed by the emotional intensity, and lastly, the sexuality. I think the synastry also confirms this.

I had grown so tired and bored with ego based relationships and this is how I view the Mars / Venus contact, as ego based. This is the first time around where I am starting from the top down (spiritual) instead of bottom up. (sexual) It's extremely refreshing. Also, that Venus / Mars relationship I mention was many years ago, so, I'm over it. There is definitely no amount of attachment now, but there certainly was back then, for sure.

Down-play Venus / Mars, hmmm maybe slightly, but mostly what I seek to do is add credence to Eros / Psyche. never before has God appear to be so a part of the process. This is what I mean when I call it divine. I didn't consciously choose her... She didn't consciously choose me. We were chosen for each other at it has taken some time for both our egos to come to terms with that. Whose really runnin things? I used to think it was me, but not anymore.

quote:
I could not type a sentence about my Venus/Mars guy saying "we did enjoy sex.. BUT"
If I was honest I'd have to say "we had mind blowing, earth shattering, out of this world sex.. BUT"

Oh really? What made it so "Mind Blowing", "Earth Shattering" and "Out of This World"? Really? Was it the mechanics of it all? Was it physical attractiveness? Was it emotion? We know it wasn't spiritual. Give me the reality, not the fantasy.

I really thinking that what one wants, or what gives one the most satisfaction, has to do with where one is in their own personal evolution. some are sensual and can't be bothered with spiritual things. Some are more spiritual and unfulfilled by the sensual alone. I see myself as having been both at different stages of life.

I guess what I am saying in a nut-shell is that Venus / Mars satisfies sensual pleasures and Eros / Psyche addresses spiritual longings. One must conquer the material in order to ultimately merge the sensual with the spiritual holistically.

I thought so! It has to be this way. As my consciousness evolves, although I notice Venus / Mars energy, it doesn't really appeal to me anymore. Even with tighter orbs, I recognize it, but my soul doesn't read it as food and so I move on.

I.Q. if I am the psyche and she is the Juno, wouldn't it be her who sees me as the ideal husband? I thought "MY" Juno determined who I saw as the ideal wife?

How does the Mars (sexuality) / Eros (Passion) express itself? Passionate sex? Her sexuality ignites my passion? My passion fuels her sexuality? How does one read this sort of thing?

I guess my answer is: It was not ALL physical. I would expect a Mars 2 Mars conjunction to be entirely "physical". Venus adds a different, more sensual dimension to Mars. Venus is not all sex or all physical. She is that - but she is also love & sensuality. There is something special or cute about this conjunction. There is a spark. Yes - it's not like the Mars/Moon spark and it's probably not at all like the Psyche/Eros spark - and maybe both of these are more spiritual or a clearer sign of a soulmate connection!

But I'm still a little sentimental about Venus/Mars, you know?
I can't chuck it by the wayside.. (not that you *were* - just saying)

Honestly, having a Piscean Mercury I just can't bring myself to explain this in so many words - but here is a scene from an old Kim Basinger/Mickey Rourke movie (9 & a half weeks) - that I believe really exemplifies the cute side of this aspect:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7exc8b4nzOo

KB & MR have a double whammy Venus/Mars conjunction – one of these is within a large orb (but considering it's a dw..)

I'm sorry, I forgot. I keep comparing the Venus / Mars to the Eros / Psyche, but you mentioned that you haven't experienced the energy of this aspect, or at least, not that you were aware of. I guess that's why it may seem to you that I am dumping on Venus / Mars. I assure you, I am not. Just based on my experience, feeling I had outgrown the partly superficial nature of Venus, I was thrilled to discover there was something much higher that goes much deeper, which comes after that. That's all it is, really. You will certainly see what I mean in the future. To quote Morpheus "Unfortunately no one can be told what the Matrix is, you have to see it for yourself."

Venus/Mars can be superficial.. or it can turn superficial.. but it is not always superficial.
I mean there are positives and negatives to any planet and any combination. I'm trying my best to be pro Venus since it conjuncts my NN lol.. My goal in this life couldn't just be to become as superficial as humanly possible, or could it?

As I said in my first post - for me Venus/Mars on its own - lacks stability and depth long term.. but if it is coupled with some Saturn aspects and some Sun/Moon/Asc aspects - I wouldn't mind it. It would probably add to the already existent connection.

A guy's JUNO helps him instantly see the most desirable characteristics in his wife.
The girl's JUNO is like her 'marketing' of 'ideal wife' characteristics.
A guy's Psyche also rules his ability to feel things on a soul level, it is a Divine Feminine trait. So the Psyche-JUNO conjunction allows you "feel" her as ideal wife especially since you both have a Psyche-Eros conjunction.
Just read conjunctions as a merger or acceptance, and it will all make sense.

Your Sun and her Aphrodite could have led to a "love at first sight" effect.

<<
How does the Mars (sexuality) / Eros (Passion) express itself? Passionate sex? Her sexuality ignites my passion? My passion fuels her sexuality? How does one read this sort of thing?
>>
Her Mars = her ideal male sexual lover. So
your EROS conj her Mars means your Passion for her lets her know that you are the one she wants sexually the most.

You want to know about the telepathy? Psyche is one small factor. Asteroid PALLAS can answer the other factors.
Pallas and Mercury both aspecting Neptune = Telepathy.
Moon and Kaali (4227) aspecting Neptune = Telepathic Dreams and Past life recalls of one another.

Many relationship soulmates with Ancient Egypt Past Lifelines will also have a potent ISIS-OSIRIS connection in synastry or composite. ISIS is Asteroid 42 and OSIRIS is Asteroid 1923.

You also cannot ignore Name Asteroids, and very importantly, the numerological synchronicities for true love relationship soulmates and for Twin Flames.

Again, Venus in comparison to Psyche has more of a one dimensional, superficial quality to it, but that is not to suggest that Venus is superficial. Are you familiar with the myth of "Eros & Psyche"? If not, check it out,

but if so, I am just pointing out that for one to experience true, three dimensional love, that encompasses body, mind and spirit and frees the soul, one needs to psychologically evolve from the influence of Venus and embrace their own Psyche.

What sign is your Psyche in Vapor-Lash?
