I finally remembered the word that I was trying to think of last night: Micromanage.

I understand that the sniping is natural when personalities clash, and that the moderators can't micromanage people here (without stifling them). The constant, more passive-aggressive stuff just bugs me on occasion.

(I was going to add more, but I've lost my train of thought. Who was the one going on about generalizations, and my Moon/Venus sign? Oh, well. It must have been the red, fluffy handcuffs.)
