Could you show a pic to disprove those people who say Libra risings are generally the least beautiful?

I'm just curious now. I never saw the face of a Libra rising, so I want to see

What? I've always heard libra rising is the most beautiful or at least, the most attractive. Britney Spears is a libra rising, though her partying, alcohol, etc have taken a toll on her face.

I know, it's odd, because a rising ruled by Venus, you would expect everyone to think it's a sign of beauty.

Oh, yeah, I forgot that Britney is Libra rising. Shame on me. At least one face to put to Libra rising

Ooh... all in 1st?

Aries Sun/moon/risings:
http://www.astrofaces.com/cgi-bin/ShowSMAGroup.cgi?sun=01&moon=01&asc=01

Website: http://www.astrofaces.com love that site. It's so handy.

Had a look through all the Libra risings listed there as well and I'd say it's 50/50 ugly/beautiful. What I did notice, is that a lot of those faces are actually very obviously assymetrical. Odd.

Now, every face is assymetrical, but with most faces, we don't even notice it. With a lot of these guys, you can't look past it! Not all of them, of course, but still, it's striking.

This is where I pay no mind to astrology. Your looks come from you parents, not the planets and points above. My son looks exactly like me but lighter skin tone. He is a Cancer Sun, Merc, and Venus with Scorpio Moon. My daughter looks just like her mom. My daughter is also a triple cancer with Sun, Merc, and Venus in Cancer with a Taurus Moon. Their charts look nothing like ours yet our kids look just like us.

Now don't get me wrong, I play the "guess the asc" game all the time but I do so basing my guesses off the energy I feel from the person not their looks.

------------------
Virgo Asc 6˚& Mars 0˚
Gemini Sun 24˚
Libra Moon 14˚(conjunct Pluto 0˚ in 2nd house)
Gemini Mercury 25˚
Cancer Venus 29˚ (Mutual reception with Moon)
And yes, i'm a guy!

Hi Aya,
quote:
I don't think I've actually met someone with that Sampaku thing. I'd remember that. It's creepy.

I have, and instinctively I feel the need to recoil, one had Scorpio Rising conj Sun. A few others too. For that matter another I saw it in has Gemini Sun, I don't know the rest of his placements. I thought since you had Scorpio-looks inside info, well, we all kinda specialize in recognizing certain signs because we see traits repeated.

quote:
My boyfriend. Scorpio rising. Tiny eyes.

I can see how there's a distance there looking at his pic that's not there with yours.

Aya, what do you think, with your Scorpio experience, do these qualify? Do you see Scorpio in them or is it more Aries, I've been trying to place it and just can't...but I think it may be one of the 2,

Anyway, those men that I've been attracted to, aren't always attractive to other people. They probably wouldn't be attractive to anyone here

I think the guy on the left in the dark picture is cute, too
My type is short and skinny Definitely to each her/his own (!)

Aya;

My daughter, Scorpio rising...

My son, Scorpio Sun and rising...

Gah! I tried to find a pic of my Dad, also a Sco Sun/Rising, who has HUGE eyes.

My point is, I think it's genetic too.

But, in my exp. people with Cancer in their big three seem to have squinty eyes. *shrugs*

I guess it's best to bear in mind we are all going to look different with our heritages from around the globe.

Does the information about Richard Gere being a Scorpio rising come from that librarising site? Because I have never seen his birth time verified. Scorpio rising applies if he was born at noon, which is the standard "unknown birth time" for many people when they cast a chart, and I've seen that chart many places with a note that the noon is a default time and the actual time is unknown.

Ugh, I just checked at librarising.com and sure enough Richard Gere is listed as Scorpio rising. There are plenty of other people thrown in the wrong ascendant just so they "fit" the theories of the person who runs that site.

For example, this person is pushing their belief that Libra is "the most attractive rising sign" so they are stacking the decks with examples of attractive celebrities who are presented as Libra risers. The problem is, a great number of them are not really Libra rising! Their "Libra rising" examples include: Jennifer Love Hewitt (Scorpio rising), Annie Lennox (Virgo rising), Victoria Silvstedt (unknown birth time), Shirley MacLaine (Virgo rising), Scarlett Johansson (Sag. rising), Jessica Simpson (unknown birth time), Olivia Newton-John (Virgo rising), Markie Post (unknown birth time), Donna Douglas (unknown birth time), Ivanka Trump (unknown birth time), Grace Kelly (Scorpio rising), Doris Day (Virgo rising), Claudia Schiffer (Scorpio rising), Faith Ford (unknown birth time), Catherine Deneuve (Capricorn rising), Ann Coulter (unknown birth time), Pam Dawber (unknown birth time), David Bowie (Aquarius rising), Cary Grant (Scorpio rising), David Letterman (Taurus rising), James Spader (Virgo rising), John Davidson (Virgo rising), Johnny Carson (Scorpio rising), Robert Redford (Pisces rising), Ted Danson (Virgo rising).

Sheesh! That's a 40% inaccuracy rate on just one page of that site! And that's also pretty darned unethical to present false information just to promote a theory.

This article is basically saying that the planets should be placed in the sign/element that they are naturally at home in....that I can understand...but who said the ascendant was ruled by libra? Im gonna have to do some investigating on this one.

Gypsee your son does have kind of distant eyes but it doesn't look like your daughter has. If Jennifer Love Hewitt is a Scorpio rising, the tiny eye thing doesn't apply to her, and it doesn't apply to Freud.

It does depend on genetics I suppose, mostly.

Richard Gere could have a Scorpio rising, but I agree that the libra rising site isn't very accurate. He still has squinty eyes, though

aya- i was thinking the same with taurus too. being ruled by ceres or atleast have more earthly qualities than libra. i would think that the beuaty in libra would be more intellectual in words and though versus taurus being more earthy would show with physical traits.i never thought of the 2nd house being with the body either! makes a lot of sense though.

my 2nds in gemini and i sorta have a skinny frame. but its not lacking on my curves. but since iwas little ive always been really wirey and scrawny until i hit puberty haha then i filled out a bit. but ive also read that sun conjunct mars can give a wirey frame. but my mercury is conjunct mars too conjunct my sun sooo maybe that ties in with the gemini influence.

i know a person with that three sign but its not in aries. she has a pisces rising, sun and moon. shes extremely sensitive and she really has those "watery" eyes. they'r sorta big and her body is sorta thick and shes really really short. haha. a lot of the pisce girls i know have or the pisces rising have the thick looking legs. i dunno how to explain it.

Maybe if people from the same gender and parentage were taken as an example. Say three brothers or three sisters, compare placements and go from there. Then you would be eliminating the gene factor and it would be all up to the natal chart! I feel an experiment coming on lol
