Thank you, Unmoved.
Today, someone was kind enough to help me see where I could find earth in my chart because I have none in the traditional sense.
She helped me see things like Saturn in the first house trine Mars which gives staying power and discipline.
I want to take all those strong aspects and stand on them!

Ami

with all due respect i only asked you what you thought of my comment because it was a deep comment that was spot on and you completely ignored it.

why is that? I simply would like to understand what the issue is here when you've been blowing me kisses and hearts for months and now it's like i have leprosy lol

I make lots of deep comments yet I don't think I need to go fishing for compliments, or should I?

Mermaid... i'm not fishing. I simply am interested in her view on my comment!!

I don't give a damn if she agrees with it or not because i know my own truth about emotions and healing them.

I am just interested to know how my words resonate with her view.

so many primadonna's on this site now
I can't stand it.... what happened to the ASTROLOGY DAYS?!!?????????????

Thank you Lara! Believe it or not you just helped me tremendously with my personal healing journey. I've unburied my shadow aspect of wanting to secretly be a "primadonna" and now I've met and seen that part of me. This is HUGE for me!

My friend helped me find any aspect which had earth in it such as two planets in the tenth house(Cap's house),Saturn trining Mars and even Saturn in the first in the sense that an earth planet is in the most personal house(I hope this is right lol)
Also, I have some aspects which are strong personal fortitude, gut strength.
Pluto is the chart ruler and it is conjunct MC.
So, I need to take these in and know that they are there and they are part of me.
The Cancer moon is fine but not able to deal with all of life.

Ami, this is so good to hear for you. Here's something for your fortitude bank. A.A. Milne was a very wise Capricorn.

“If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. I'll always be with you.”

Thank You Mermaid!
I think that, for me, the Scorpio energy was too scary, too perceptive.
Scorpio gives me flashes of insight where I just know things.
Many of them are ugly about human nature--my own and other people's.
It hurts me to see these things and I feel like I am bad for being part of them even for just seeing.
Now, after decades, I can feel the Scorpio energy again.
I can see and feel the primal things of human nature.
It doesn't sound like it would be a huge deal but it is.
It is a compass coming back in.

Ami,

You don't have to deal with all of life... only today exists. Today is only 24 hours long and tomorrow never comes!!!

Mermaid,

I wasn't referring to you yet that is great to embrace and then explain to the primadonna aspect of woman that she can live in harmony within the whole SELF.

I like this topic Ami. I've been trying to do some inner healing work lately myself...

I think, for me, functioning through my Moon is fine and perfectly necessary. I have a bucket chart with the Moon as the handle, so everything gets filtered through it anyway.

My 5th house Aries Moon is just so much more fun, exciting, and honest than my stodgy old 10th house Virgo Sun. I do use my Scorpio Asc to good effect too though, usually with people I don't know when I want to show them some things about myself, but not everything.

HOWEVER, I have found that in romantic relationships I tend to immediately refer back to my fire grand trine (of which my Aries Moon and Leo Mars are a part) instead of also allowing my Virgo Venus to be expressed. I have found that this is detrimental to me since one part of me is fun and happy-go-lucky but there is another part of me that needs to express groundedness and security in relationships.

If anything, I do look more at Chiron for healing in my chart since Chiron is in the sign that I have the most trouble with: Gemini (I also have my NN there). I personally believe that we learn from what we don't really understand in life, and we heal from those parts of ourselves that we can't accept or acknowledge.

You made some good points, Enchantress.
I know my moon energy inside and out, it seems.
I love that moon---Cancer.
I trust the intuition it gives me.
I love its sweetness cuz it is a sweet moon but it is too dominant for daily living which demands more toughness.I wish it were not true but it is while we are on the earth ,anyway .
It seems that each of us have different parts that need developing.
To some people, as you said, it IS the moon.
Thanks for your thoughtful answer.

I actually feel the reverse: when I deviate from my moon, I feel like I'm losing myself....and even moreso than most people because the moon is my sun's depositor. I feel like because we live in an egocentric society, 'moon issues' are too often overlooked.

You know, I really think there is something to being able to heal using your chart.
I think you may need someone else to help you, a buddy who knows Astrology,to talk over things and help you see things you might not.
My field is counseling ,although I got off in to natural medicine.
I rarely saw people get better with traditional therapy. This has just been my expereince.
I don't care to debate it.
I just think that you can know yourself by the chart and try to balance your good and bad points with it.

Well yeah, I think that's why most of us who care about astrology are here....I never disagreed with that. I just don't agree that deviating from your moon is the way to heal. In fact, that's counterintuitive in astrology..... well atleast it is to those of us who feel the Moon is your core (though I'm not saying the sun isn't important).

I was thinking about your comment,BM.
Just my thoughts on it--different people were allowed to express different parts of themselves when they were young.
So some parts feel natural, some foreign.
Each person would be different in this ,of course.
For me, my moon is very natural while my sun and Ascendant are not.

Well, I've always thought that the chart was synchronized with our experiences in what traits were encouraged (Ascendant, or Outerself) , and what traits weren't (Moon, and Sun for some people) ...but maybe its just me.

My ambitious and responsible side (Cap Ascendant) was always encouraged while my fun side (gemini venus) was seen as irresponsible and my emotional and hermit-like traits (Cancer Sun and Virgo Moon) were seen as antisocial.

In the end doesn't matter what was encouraged, either way...your moon is core and trying to get away from that won't do you good. Instead, people should work to intergrate ALL parts of themselves in order to be whole.

No problem Ami. Thanks for the thoughtful discussion.

Actually, I could maybe see why you might not want to function so publicly with your moon. I would imagine having a Cancer Moon would make you very sensitive emotionally. Cancer Moons have moods that tend to fluctuate and change even at the slightest thing and they really feel things deeply. If I had that placement I can't say that I'd want it out for everyone to see either, mostly because, like you said, daily living demands more toughness.

Of course, that being said, aspects to the Moon make a difference as well.

My Aries Moon is very different from the Cancer Moon. Somebody says something to try and upset me, and I just look at them and make a smart ass comment, or I ignore it... If they do actually manage to hurt my feelings it is most likely because I was being naive and trusting someone I shouldn't have trusted to begin with, in which case I look like a hurt puppy dog for a minute or two, then turn around and walk away. Find me in an hour and I'll be over it. People think this is insensitivity, but I think it's simply not sweating the small stuff (and sometimes also the big stuff that I have no control over anyway).

The Moon placement also augments this of course. So, the other planets in my grand trine tend to bolster the Moon's influence, but in a way they also absorb some of the brunt of any emotionality that I might have. I'll turn to say humor (Jupiter conjunct Uranus) to defuse tensions or to something I'm passionate about (Mars).

Thank you Enchantress
The Cancer moon is just too sensitive to have it as a default position.
It is a sensitive, vulnerable creature who only should come out when people have proven trustworthy.
I need the Scorpio to push people away when they are obnoxious or hurtful.
Scorpio is a blessing cuz it is strong and hard.
It knows hard things like primal emotions and pain . It can fight back and leave the other person wounded IF the other person hurts you.
My Scorpio is rarely the aggresor.
When aggressed on enough, it will sting but it is not easy.
I need to take the stinger out more cuz life neccessitate it, unfortunatly.
This earth is not really our home.
In Heaven, all things will pass away. There will only be love.
It is hard for humans to thrive on this earth which demand such hard shells.
