quote: Thank you Enchantress The Cancer moon is just too sensitive to have it as a default position. It is a sensitive, vulnerable creature who only should come out when people have proven trustworthy. I need the Scorpio to push people away when they are obnoxious or hurtful. Scorpio is a blessing cuz it is strong and hard. It knows hard things like primal emotions and pain . It can fight back and leave the other person wounded IF the other person hurts you. My Scorpio is rarely the aggresor. When aggressed on enough, it will sting but it is not easy. I need to take the stinger out more cuz life neccessitate it, unfortunatly. This earth is not really our home. In Heaven, all things will pass away. There will only be love. It is hard for humans to thrive on this earth which demand such hard shells.
*For you*, that may apply. But you can't be telling someone like say.... a Pediatric Nurse that the only weay for them to heal emotions is to hide behind their Ascendant. In fact, that's a very good way for them to make patients feel uncomfortable. I always feel I have to hide the traits attributed to my water placements in the real world, but that's my personal choice..... I'm not gonna go ahead and make it doctrine that everyone else should. That was my issue with this 'theory' in the first place, not what you personally choose to do.

I just wrote a long post about my own placements, but confused myself. I can see how my Moon position creates problems for me, but I can also see how my Scorpio ascendant has caused problems. I've been much too self-protective in the past - no matter the optimism of any other planet in my chart/part of me, when it came right down to it, anxiety won, and I hid away (that's supposedly a Scorpio thing, although I don't see many shrinking violets with that Sun or ascendant, so maybe it's something else about me). I'm just trying to wake up, so I'm sorry if I'm confusing anyone. (Also, I didn't see Benedict Moon as arguing, I just saw her posting what was right for her). Oh, my Moon is conjunct Venus in Gemini, square Mars in Pisces, trine Pluto, inconjunct Uranus. I have been much too detached, when trying to get through certain things, and I've been much too emotional. If I could find a balance, that would be great - a balance I had when I was younger. Maybe if I'd let the emotions out - taken more chances on letting myself be a fool with my Moon, instead of hiding away and protecting myself - I would have had more of a 'life' life, instead of being agoraphobic. I love the time I had with my family during that time (as well as my little pack of animals that I love very much), but I also missed out on a lot (and I'm not talking about frat parties). PS Praise the Lord for Pediatric Nurses. Agree on that

I finally figured out what happened to me. I have the Scorpio energy which is strong and knows things. My M was baiting me all the time and WHEN I called her on it she said I was imagining it! So,I pushed all I felt away. I became compliant. My Cancer moon is non threatening and sweet. It does not fight back directly. It does not do what a Scorpio would. I felt guilty for fighting back. I think the Scorp is right to sting if they are attacked --only. Ami IP: Logged |

I might get on MSN later on. For now, I'm feeling all talked out. I don't appreciate being told that I'm imagining something, when I know that's not the case, so I understand perfectly. IP: Logged |

I have a path to follow now:a path toward balance. Acupuncture heals by promoting balance. It is not a judgment if the yin or the yang is off. It it just trying to tweak it until they come in to balance. Ami IP: Logged |

I'm Eastern Time, too, but I can't get on to chat right now. I've just asked a friend of mine, on Facebook, about her experience with hypnosis and anxiety, as well as something else she's dealing with. IP: Logged |

I was thinking about the comments and I really appreciate all the insights. I think my moon is my deepest self. I have not been keeping it tucked away enough only to be seen by people who have earned it and people I trust. It can be seen by others but I need the sun (Gem) and the Ascendant (Scorp) to help when I get hurt with the tender moon emotions. Gemini has shallow emotions, lol, and Scorp can get you and you hardly even notice it lol. The moon is just a vulnerable thing which has to come in and out when the time is right. Ami

I agree with you. I wouldn't call my moon shallow, though. Maybe that's because of the heavier aspects. I know you don't mean to offend. I have to leave the computer, but if I don't find you online, I will email you. IP: Logged |
