For me,as I got more shut down, emotionally, I lost my connection to my Sun, Gemini, and my Ascendent, Scorpio. I became my moon, Cancer. The moon should be your inside --not your outside. It is the part you show to your Significant Others--not your face to the world. I was stuck there with no defenses that the Sun(identity) and Ascendant(outer shield) would bring. I kept going down until now when I see it. Now, I am reclaiming the power of the Ascendant and the strength of the Sun. The moon will be there but it will be shielded by the others. Does this make any sense to anyone else?IP: Logged |

i am the opposite. as a child, i displayed my Sag moon. i was outgoing, funny, brave, confident.since growing older i have sunk under the influence of Pluto on my ASC..i hate it. i need to let my 1st house Venus shine but Pluto on my ASC makes it hard. i wish i still displayed the qualities of my moon rather than my ASC. the qualities of my Sun, however, don't ever seem to come through. Makes absolutely sense, Ami. I always go into my moon, if I feel vulnerable or want to "hide", too. Since my Moon is in Aquarius, that means I seem to become seemingly detached, cold, dispassionate, overanalyzing and absolutely unapproachable. Not nice, hu? It`s like something inside me sais. "Well, you can do what you want. It`s your life, and I don`t need you." Well, nowadays I at least realize after a certain time that this is what is happening, and can try to involve my other planets again, too. IP: Logged |

I felt the Scorpio parts were bad(Scorp Ascendent and 8th house Sun,Moon and Mercury) I could usually see under the surface. It became too scary for me to see my life and too scary for me to see the truth of my own nature. My mother, a therapist, kept telling me I was bad for feelings. So, I shut it all down. I lost my zest for life--Gemini. I became the non threatening Cancer moon. However, then I started getting the Cancer physical problems like stomach aches. My stomach feels and responds to life like my mind and will should. That is the problem. My will needs to stand up--not my stomach.IP: Logged |

My Moon is in Pisces the negatives can be feeling a victim, self pity, and being an escapistI have to focus on the feeling connected with God/Everything,Compassion,and Inspiration It's hard to do with it being an apex of t-square with Jupiter-Neptune oppose Saturn and oppose my Saturn/Neptune midpoint. I have it trine my Sun for some harmony, balance, and overall hope. It might even be a "everything will work out in the end" aspect. I also believe that focusing on my constellation placement of my Moon is also a factor. My Moon is in the constellation of Aquarius, and its actually in alignment with Alpha Aquarius star, Sadalmelik and Theta Aquarius star,Ancha. Moon is also in paran with Sadalmelik too My Moon is also in alignment with Gamma Aquarius star,Sadalbachia in Right Ascension.
Very strong star theme of Life-giving water.

Well Nep I think that we will be whole when we can express who we are. If your Asc and moon are in the same sign, you are doubly strong in that sign. It is just that sign to the second power. I don't think it makes it harder for you to balance out the various sides. Your sun should still be the most powerful force. On the other hand, perhaps,it would make it harder for you. Don't know lol. What do YOU think? Ami IP: Logged |

For me to heal I have to be real. This means taking off the mask, my Virgo Rising opposing facade. Keeping the good stuff in my pool of resources and tossing out irrelevant junk. Letting my Piscean Sun Light shine, being my true and complete self. Claiming full ownership and accountability and gratitude for even the flaws. Learning and exercising healthy expressions for the full spectrum of my emotions. My Neptune in Scorp. opposed sensitive Taurus moon. My very own personal truth is that I need to constructively release a lot of pent up anger/poisons from a lifetime of self-repressed emotions. This truth for me is that this is a process...it doesn't happen overnight...Rome wasn't built in a day... My delusion of thinking I was already a patient person has thankfully been completely shattered. I naturally appreciate the refinement after the storm, in retrospect. Real thunderstorms made me quite anxious as a child and now I can be calm. Maintaining a garden requires weeding. As was, as is, and ever shall be.

"Learning and exercising healthy expressions for the full spectrum of my emotions. My Neptune in Scorp. opposed sensitive Taurus moon."Neptune in aspect to the Moon would modify the Moon in Taurus placement so that it's extremely sensitive, and so similar to Moon in Pisces. I have Neptune square Moon in Pisces, and so I have a double whammy. Also a Sidereal Astrologer can argue that my Moon square Neptune can account for my being able to relate to Moon in Pisces even though I have Moon in Sidereal Aquarius. A Sidereal Astrologer even pointed that out to me before back in 2003. ------------------ Raymond Supporting the Neurodiversity Movement A Different Mind Is Not A Deficient Mind. http://people.tribe.net/4b0cf8c4-1fc3-4171-92d3-b0915985bf95/blog IP: Logged |

I have Aries Sun/Moon and Virgo AC. My AC has always been the outer shield, while my Aries side is only shown when I feel confident and safe.I heal by finding courage, determination and self identity. IP: Logged |

Comica My Ascendant was the part that dealt with the world when I was strong. I have Scorp Ascendent and Pluto conjunct MC. That was a lot of energy to push down lol. Now, I am feeling anger to the people who hurt me. I didn't feel it before cuz Cancer moon does not do anger well lol.It stuffs it way down deep until you get a disease or go mental Gemini sun is good for seeing events in a rational way. I think it is an easy sun to have. I have Merc and Venus in Gem ,too. I like Gemini cuz it is detached. Cancer( moon and mars) is a terrible clinger---icon-- holding on to a guy's shoe as the guy is trying to escape lol

Wouldn't that depend on the house position of the moon? For instance, a natal moon in the 10th house or in the 1st house would not want to hide. Also one would have to consider the sign in the moon is placed. Ami moon, Cancer likes to hide, so having your moon may predispose you to feel better when hiding. I have a hard time believing that I have revealed my Libra moon to only my significant others... That's giving too much importance to romantic relationships. IP: Logged |

Well, Significant others could be intimates which would include family, close friends etc. So, I may have phrased it wrong. It meant people who were close to your heart. My sun, moon and mercury are in the 8th .

Hmmm. I am opposite. I feel I need to heal through my moon, since it represents all the emotions I am feeling. I think when I deviate from my highest moon qualities and fall back on sun/ac, I become untrue to myself and just avoid the real feelings, so I can't work through them -- denying the moon makes you work around the feelings. The way out is through, imo. IP: Logged |

Diana,I agree It's easy for my emotions to be expressed with my Sun trine Moon, and I feel like I easily express the Pisces traits. It's more complicated with other objects aspecting my Sun trine Moon like Saturn,(square Moon, quincunx Sun),Ixion-Quaoar (conjunct Sun and trine Moon), Sedna (oppose Sun,sextile Moon), and Varuna (square Moon, quincunx Sun in Right Ascension),and Mars (conjunct Moon, trine Sun in Right Ascension). My Moon and Ascendant are connected to each other through Jupiter which squares my Moon and Ascendant so that Jupiter is on the Moon/Ascendant midpoint with 2 minutes of arc. There is no way that I can work around my emotions. I have to work through them and confront them. Moon as the apex of a t-square is no joke for it's all about great challenges that make me have to confront my feelings.

Your comments are so interesting Diana, Raymond and Belage I find my moon so easy and you find other parts easier. For me--strength is hard. I had to become small as a child--not to be hurt. I could not SHOW the Pluto which is my chart ruler and conjunct MC, as I said. I had to become the weak ball--which is the receptive, feminine Cancer moon. The moon is fine and I love it BUT not as a 24/7 mode. Then--it killed me!
