One thing I've noticed in pSynastry is that most aspects "travel" in groups. By this I mean rarely will you have a Venus/Venus aspect as the only connection between two charts. Most times you'll get a combination of aspects, often an accompanying Sun/Mars or Sun/Moon. quote:

I feel that these doesn't necessarily trigger attraction, although I just want to confirm, since you have more experience with progressed charts.

But so you mean that whenever there's attraction, there are usually more than just same progressed planets conjunctions (pVenus/pVenus or pMars/pMars), like Mars/Sun and Sun/Moon, right?IP: Logged |

Here is the example of a couple, who have had an on-off relationship and got back together a few months ago.Their progressions are  unfortunately her birthtime is unknown):
his pr Sun conjunct her pr Moon
his pr Sun trine her pr Mars; it is just 00°03 separating his pr Venus conjunct her natal Moon his pr Venus conjunct her pr Venus
- when they got back together it was applying to exactness and is now separating by 1 degree his pr Mars conjunct her natal Neptune (1 applying) her pr Venus square his natal Moon (1 applying) her pr Mars trine his natal Saturn (00°30 separating)

I want to see if I'm getting this right... over the last couple months I have really started to jump into progressed synastry aspects... When a prog to prog or prog to natal is happening in synastry it's like a window of possibility for the 2 people... after the window closes the couple needs to rely on the natal synastry? Also- doesn't something need to be happening in each person's natal to prog as well? For example... right now I have a romantic relationship starting. "Some" of the aspects we have going right now with Prog to Natal/Prog to Prog... all this is wtihin a 2 degree Orb. His Prog Sun Trine my Natal 7th house ruler
His Prog Venus Trine my Natal Sun (his Prog Venus is Rx)
His Prog Mars Trine my Natal Venus
His Prog Mars conj my Natal MC My Prog Sun square his Natal Venus- about to end
My Prog Sun Trine his Natal Moon
My Prog Mars Trine his Natal Moon
My Prog DC Trine his Natal Moon and Natal 7th house ruler.
My Prog Venus square his Natal Sun My Prog Sun square his Prog Venus (his Venus in Rx)- about to end
My Prog Mars square his Prog Venus- about to end. I'm guessing that's a lot of Prog to Natal aspect for one time period? We met 12 yrs ago- our friendship has been off and on for the whole time b/c of careers/moving to different parts of the world. This is the first time since college we have been on the same continent (first time it has turned into more) When we met the only Prog- Natal happening was His Prog Sun squared my Natal DSC I'm guessing all this Progressed aspect is triggering our natal aspects with each other? We have Sun Trine Venus double whammy, His Sun conj my MC, Moon conj Moon, My Venus sqaure his Mars plus some other good (and not so good aspects... I guess I'm not understanding the part where the natal aspects have to be triggered (for exp- by progression) for the two people to feel it. I know over the last 12 yrs we have both felt the Venus Trine Sun double whammy and the Moon conj Moon. IP: Logged |

No, the natal aspects doesn't have to be triggered. As an example: pSun to nVenus/pVenus will usually cause two people to desire more alone/getting-to-know-you time together. This will be true whether there is a Sun/Venus aspect between the two natal charts or not. The rules of Progressed Synastry are the same as natal synastry, except you're looking at four charts at once, instead of two. Because the progressed chart is constantly changing, you get to see in real time the shifting dynamics of a relationship. IP: Logged |

So what happens after the getting to know you time together? I currently have this with a guy. So could this cause anything to happen between us? Or will it just be that we will get to know each other and that's it?IP: Logged |

Much the same as a job interview. If you click during the getting-to-know-you phase you get the job. If you dont click, you separate and move on.The getting-to-know-you phase is to see whether there is chemistry or not. IP: Logged |
