Sun opposed Moon is actually a positive in synastry, somewhat akin to the conjunction. Sun opposed Venus, too.IP: Logged |

MVM, I've mentioned that the 5th house is about light romance, coz the 7th is about commitment, while the 8th is about intimacy. But the 5th is also about grandiose, dramatic romance. X3 A lot to do with expressiveness too. While the 7th and the 8th are more about forming a relationship, the 5th is more about that sweet heartbeat we feel when we are in love. X3 IP: Logged |

I think the 5th and 8th houses can both be experienced in a shallow or deep way.In a shallow way, the 8th house can signify sexual attraction based on the other person having what you need. You sense how you fit together right. You don't have to feel deeply bonded with them in a meaningful way. It can be just a one night stand. Deep way: This is the person who you can bare your soul with because they get it. In a shallow way, the 5th house can signify sexual attraction based on the other person making you happy. You adore them. You don't have to deeply love them. It, too, can be just a one night stand. Deep way: This is the person who makes life worth living because they fill you with wonder and love. I think it's the depth of the connection that makes you want to commit, something you can't see in the synastry alone. IP: Logged |

Well-said, Jane.I think it really depends on the person - maybe their 5th, or 8th, or even 3rd or 11th would be important to them in synastry. Plus there's always the ruler itself of the 7th house. If that's in the 5th and it gets triggered, it could be just as in-depth. But yeah, I don't think there's a 100% set-in-stone answer for the marriage indicators. On top of all that, there's always Solar Arcs and the like to consider asides from synastry. Sometimes those will trigger marriage as well. IP: Logged |

Diandra- amazing! thanks for sharing! I've noticed a lot of those same things too, even within natals alone. I've noticed a lot of the people that are dear to me, if I plug their name asteroid into my own natal, it will often make a significant and EXACT aspect to an angle or planet of mine, if not both. I've especially noticed this with my Moon. Sometimes I'll even find a first and last name asteroid of a friend in conjunction in my chart! It's so fascinating. So far this has been one of the most amazing revelations I've had with looking at astrology. I've also found it to work with asteroids that SOUND like the person's name (which is helpful if I can't find their exact name). What is a LOA frequency by the way??IP: Logged |

Loa: are the spirits of the Voodoo religion practiced in Haiti, and other parts of the world. They are also referred to as Mystères and the Invisibles, in which are intermediaries between Bondye (Bon Dieu, or good god)—the Creator, who is distant from the world—and humanity. Unlike saints or angels however, they are not simply prayed to, they are served. They are each distinct beings with their own personal likes and dislikes, distinct sacred rhythms, songs, dances, ritual symbols, and special modes of service. Contrary to popular belief, the loa are not deities in and of themselves; they are intermediaries for a distant Bondye. However, I think Diandra means the Law Of Attraction

MVM -
*facepalm* All this time I thought the loa were intermediaries for a distant Beyonce. This makes so much more sense! I guess that muffled music is coming from a neighbor and not a spiritual source.
I have more to say about my theory on synastry, but my internet connection is wonky atm. You've been spared!
