AG is so good at explaining things in a nutshell!Sun in Sag/8th here. I was a psych major in college. I've always been extremely interested in people and what motivates them. It's easy for me to see through the masks that folks wear. I can look at a person and discount a major portion of what they are saying, but read them on what they are NOT saying, and their body language, facial expressions, etc. I'm also a great detective! I'm not a vengeful person though. I can't say I've ever been that way. I've always had a strong sense of "karma" in the sense that I do not need to do anything, people usually manufacture their own undoing. IP: Logged |

Funny cause she can't see through people well. I was always the one who told her what I saw and I ended up being right.------------------ ~Believe~ IP: Logged |

Was she very sheltered as a child, Crazy Aqua? I think upbringing has alot to do with that, at least for me. I was raised around some really damaged people, so, I had to learn to read people who were impaired at a young age. Also in my job, that is a major factor. I HAVE to rely on instincts to know when trouble is coming, so maybe I've just honed that particular trait.IP: Logged |

Actually GypseeWind, it was quite the opposite, I really had no reason to see through people, and I was sheltered. While I don't know all of her past, I know she has been screwed over many times and its something she would really benefit from having. And she was definitely not sheltered lol------------------ ~Believe~ IP: Logged |

To use an acting metaphor, the sign is our motivation and the house is the scene we're in. Sign is character and house is the actions that character is performing. (Planet is the actor with a severely limited range.)If people have their planets in a house associated with a sign that's strong in my chart, and they lack that sign in their own charts, it's easy for me to see the difference between sign and house. They're living in that 8th house world (or wherever), but they're doing it in a way that matches their sign. As a Sco Moon yourself, it's probably clear to you how your Gem friend is in a Scorpio scene but is acting it out very differently from how you would. I generally love this type of affinity in synastry. IP: Logged |

Hmmmmmm 8H suns here too eh? The only thing 8th house is my Mars which squares my 11th house Aries sun - opposite my Uranus in the 5th. I have an Aqua Mc and North node in the 10th.I feel like some of the signs in my chart depending on how I am feeling..sometimes I feel strongly cancerian, some days Capricorn. Most of the time I feel Uranian cause I'm a noncomformist and believe in my own individuality. I have my social circle that lately I have neglected due to home matters but someday soon i'll be out there..... Cynn

Sun in Sag 8HI've been differentiating where Scorpio begins and Sag ends since I don't know when....In my case, it also doesn't help much to have a Scorpio and Sagittarius stellium. Its not easy to describe the difference between houses and signs to satisfaction. There are Sun in Sag 10H people I know that act like Capricorns and Sun in Aquarius 2H people that act like Taurians. quote: Virgo Sun in 12H.I'm a hardcore introvert, but I dont know if that's really even Piscean 12H energy. I need 90-95% alone time to 1) accomplish the things I do, like writing or creating art/music, 2) re-energize myself, 3) think of new ideas. Physically being around people too much kills my zen.
I feel very much at home with this words, except for that "harcore introvert" because if I'm 'acting' like that it isn't no more or less THAN acting and at the same time I'm dying inside/hiding my true nature (which isn't healthy for me). So, the lesson here (for me)is to avoid situations where I cannot be myself - in the past I thought the lesson was to fight for being MORE myself but I can now see that I was denying my 12th/true nature. It's a difficult thing because it isn't easy to find places where you can be who you really are. Hm..the complexity of the 12th. There's no room for acting anymore because it almost killed me. Spoken by Leo 12th. IP: Logged |

That's how I've felt about my 8th house Virgo Moon, especially since there's a sextile to pluto. But I like Jane's metaphor above because its easier to apply now.

So, you would see how I'm acting out the Virgo qualities of the 6th house, in an Aries way? (Mercury/Sun in the 6th - and Jupiter, if you use Equal House instead of Placidus.) I have no Earth in my chart. IP: Logged |

Like other people have mentioned, the Sun sign represents the form of expression, while the house indicates the context or the area of the expression. They alter and condition each other at the same time.I have Scorpio Sun in the 12th house, which kind of contradicts my sun sign. But it doesn't really affect my scorpio impulses. I see it as balance. IP: Logged |

Well, could you explain your Scorpio impulses--as you feel them. Also, how does a 12th house sun feel to you---if you can lol. Ami
PS I am trying to reclaim the Scorpio parts of myself. That is why I am asking IP: Logged |

Ah, well, the truth is most people tend to think I'm softer than most Scorpios, LOL. And I blame that on the 12th house influence. I do think it makes my approach softer, but that's also because of my Saggi ascendant and Mercury conj. ascendant.Being a 12th house sun is confusing really, it carries most Neptunian influences. I think it made me more introverted, though Mercury conj. ascendant provides balance in that sense. It definitely makes me more reserved and I think it has an effect on my body, too, in the sense that prolonged activity can drain me and I sometimes need periods of solitude to recharge. It also makes me feel more in touch with my spirituality, so I can't complain. What are your placements? IP: Logged |

Ruben, I have a Scorpio ASC with Saturn conjuncting it--bleh. I have Gemini Sun and Mercury in the 8th house. Cancer moon is in the 8th ,too. I have an unaspected Gemini Venus who thankfully is in the 7th house I have Pluto conjunct MC , Pluto sextile Mercury, Pluto sextile the Sun and Pluto trine NN. You seem like you know more about Astrology than I do, Ruben. I have only been studying for about 8 months. Do you have any sense about my placements.I accept total honesty . Ami IP: Logged |

Gemini Sun with Scorpio ascendant - wow, now that's a contrast! I can see why you might feel that your Scorpio side is suppressed with Saturn conjunct your ascendant, but I think it can potentially be a source of strength. Both Capricorn and Scorpio are typically strong signs, they express it in different ways though. Also, planets in the 1st house tend to modify the expression of the ascendant since they carry the influence of the sign they rule. Moon and Mercury both in the 8th house - that sounds like balance to me. As for Pluto conjunct MC, all I can say is, if you ever plan on becoming president, I'll vote for you. To be honest, I sense mixed influences from you and from reading your posts. I could sense Gemini the most, and maybe a hyperactive side. I kind of feel that you have a strong instinctive nature that you probably learned to control, because it feels slightly conditioned. I get the feeling that sometimes you want to react in a certain way, but you pull back and repress certain parts of your personality. And you seem very receptive to the outside world, maybe to the detriment of your inner nature. That's not astrological analysts though, it's just a feeling. So I'm not sure. IP: Logged |
