OK. So what is the difference between having your sun in the 8th house and being a Scorpio sun?------------------

I am a Scorpio sun in the fifth house, although my fifth house ruler is Venus(Libra). I have been through a lot of transformations and changes in my life. I have dealt with a lot of intense situations with family, friends and career. Pluto rules my 6th house. I have been sexually harrassed on the job three times and a lot of power plays with family members. Where is pluto in your chart?IP: Logged |

The basic difference: the sign is the nature in which the planet expresses itself, while the house is the conditioning.
But when considering the 8th house, this can get confusing...well for my 8th house Virgo moon its confusing to me. It's definitely Virgoan, but the expression is intensified so I don't have the same peace of mind that most Virgo Moons are supposed to have. It's almost like having OCD....LMAO. My moon is very intense and perceptive, but a little differently from a scorpio moon.

I have Cancer Sun in the 9th house conjunct my 10th house cusp.I feel like I want a family and to make a loving home big time, but only if I'm comfortable enough with my own success and the person I end up marrying. I think I will marry a foreigner for some reason. But in any case, my maternal instincts are bound to play out overseas somehow. I love children and I want to help them so maybe my profession will involve this. I will probably attend law school or get my PhD in Psychology. I plan on attending school in Rome next year. i assume this applise to all planets?e.g. my 3rd house venus in libra, expresses its self most strongly through gemini/mercurial/ ways?
i wish i knew how this worked with my aries moon in the 9th house.
my sun in leo is in the 1st or second house (asc leo) i can't tell which one its in..

I have Gem sun, Gem mercury and Cancer moon in the 8th house.
I feel very 8th house in that I see things on a deep level.This is Scorpio insight.It burns away superficial things and sees the core.
I see below the surface to real motivations and real feelings.
This scared me and I suppressed it until now when I am trying to re-connect with that part of myself ,again.

I am a Leo Sun in the 5th house  I'm with Dolphin, Ive gone through lots of transformations, usually because of other people. Lots of intense situations and trauma. My Pluto is Conj my DC/Vertex, In the Libra

My friend has her gem sun in her 8th house. Which is why I was asking. She also as pluto in he first house and pluto opp venus. Woah, she's very revengeful, especially when it comes to love.
So is what house your planet in an internal influence? I don't see her outwardly very scorpian.

Lioness,I have vertex in the 5th house with my scorpio stellium. Pluto is now transiting my DC and so is my solar arc vertex. It is very intense. I wonder if my scorpio stellium brings out my magnetism to other people or something. I just go about my job and my business and I get harassment from men. This week was terrible, I just wanted to cry. I think about quitting my job a lot lately.

Virgo Sun in 12H.I'm a hardcore introvert, but I dont know if that's really even Piscean 12H energy. I need 90-95% alone time to 1) accomplish the things I do, like writing or creating art/music, 2) re-energize myself, 3) think of new ideas. Physically being around people too much kills my zen. Sun in Cancer in 7th house, I don't feel like a Libra but every new person I meet asks me if I am a Libra. ( I do have Sun's dispositor Moon in Libra).------------------

My sun is also in Cancer in the 7th and I feel Cancerian, but then I remember how everything always has to be 'even' for me. I would get pretty mad when I was young if mom didn't break the candy EXACTLY in half between me and my sister...haha. And I do believe in fairness/objectivity, but more reasonably so...not in the peverse way associated with the sign Libra.I'd say this placement is like the story of Solomon, the two women, and the baby. 9th house Aqua Sun, also have Chart Ruler in the 9th... plus the rulers of my Sun are in Sag.I'm pretty Sagittarian. I do like philosophizing and keep a pretty optimistic outlook on life. Also the thought of having a set 9-5 job for the rest of my life is depressing. Don't like the hassle of traveling (packing, waiting around for a plane/train, carrying luggage everywhere... bleh), but I enjoy learning about other cultures IP: Logged |

I think of it as kind of a dressing. Your Sun is still whatever sign it is, and you should be able to recognize that. It's just that the house offers an added dimension to the nature. I'm a Capricorn Sun in the 8th house. I'm quite good at understanding people's underlying psychology, and that's a natural state for me. I don't take people's actions strictly at face value, but try to see what motivates the behavior. IP: Logged |

So could it just be like adding that planet into the mix? I guess it all depends though. I like how you explained that AcousticGod, adding flavor. Even though her sun is in the 8th and pluto in her first, I don't think anyone gets that intimidating don't f with me scorp feel. In fact guys and pretty much anyone is comfortable approaching her and talking to her, of course her asc is Libra lol
And she can be a bit of a push over and easily taken advantage of. She has been in situations in her life where I sure as hell know a Scorpio would not be in or ever put up with.Hmm, my sun is in my 3rd house, I do talk alot lol But I don't feel very geminiy, maybe in some ways yes.....but honestly it seems mostly to be the positive qualities of gemini. Now thinking about it...this explains some things lol ------------------

I think, Crazy Aqua, that you have a Gemini flavor. It does not seem like a strong Gemini presence.
The houses may give an overtone in that that you can SENSE Gemini but it feels fleeting rather than solid.
