The Full Moon Eclipse will resonate across our lives over the next 6 months as it rings the song of family, new vision, freedom, assuming authority, structural changes in our world as well as permanent endings. We have finished with a major chapter in our lives. The eclipse marks the end of that story with a particularly luminous full moon and partial eclipse visible in the Central and Western United States.
The eclipse cast for Washington, D.C., the USA capital, is exceptionally active AND mutable, with a cardinal cross forming in houses 3,6, 9 and 12. Cardinal signs mean Action, Action, Action! A Cardinal Cross means the planets are fighting with each other for dominance, power and control. Power struggles are inevitable on this Moon. The Cardinal cross placed in Mutable houses means the planets will shift their roles and change who is in charge at any given moment. You will notice the shift in your life too~ first you are in charge. Then your partner is. Then your parents/bosses are speaking up and you are answering to them. It will be back and forth for quite a while.
It will also be exhausting. Neptune and Saturn are inconjunct to each other and perfecting under this eclipse. If you take action and assume responsibility, the tiredness will fade. If you are unable to be in charge due to the nature of the situation before you, you will find yourself exhausted by what goes on. I have friends who are going to the newly released "Toy Story" to have a good cry. Tears are a distinct possibility on the eclipse. It is highly emotional with the Sun in Cancer yet it is unable to express the emotion as the Moon is in Capricorn ruled by Saturn in Virgo.
Saturn in Virgo rules or disposits 75% of the planets in the lunar eclipse chart and 11 out of 12 houses are up for change. That is A LOT of change for one cute little partial eclipse of the Moon at the end of June!
The Lunar Full Moon Eclipse is a sneak preview of the energy we will be working with for the next two months as the t-square of outer planets gets tighter and tighter and TIGHTER. The events commencing around, the week or so before and during the eclipse period will be the focus of your life for a while to come. Mark your calendar for August 23 as the closing up of the energy.
Notice what is going on in your life right now. Pace yourself. This is the opening shot of a two month long relay race. You need to conserve your strength for what is yet to come. And there is quite a bit yet to come. So notice. Make a plan. Do what you can.
Basically, you can find yourself in three types of situations. Or you can find you are in combinations of the situations where you have one from each category. Or you can observe OTHER people going through the combinations of the situations.
Illness/Injury ~ In some instances, there isn't much you are going to be able to do such as in the case of elderly relatives who are sick or dying except step in as the caretaker until July 21st. After the end of July, you will be able to partner with them in a slightly different way when Saturn goes into Libra. Make sure to say what you need to say to them for emotional closure as the energy ahead is fairly harsh on old bones. Between now and September is NOT a good time for electional surgery of any type, particularly for older relatives. If you are young and injured in an accident, you will be rehabbing during the months ahead.
Ending Matters such as Relationships, Jobs, Living situations and Projects: In other situations, you are pretty clear that the given situation in which you find yourself is NOT one that you want to continue to find yourself in for the next 12, 30, 50, 84 or 248 years of your life. So end it. Or start to end it. The other person may pipe up and offer to change. They might mean it. If it is not too late on your side, watch what they do. If they don't change by July 21st, they are NOT changing and you need to go ahead with your plans for your life. Dump them as planned.
If they DO change by July 21st AND you are not quite finished with them, give them a second chance. Watch carefully what they do in early August, particularly the 2nd to 4th, 16th, 20th and 21st. By September 14th, you will know whether to stay or go.
Starting or forging ahead on Matters such as Relationships, Jobs, Living Situations and Projects: It is a very dynamic time to start or work on matters as you are building a t-square or grand cross into the initiating chart for the matter. That said, the chart and time is incredibly productive in wanting to take matters into its own hands and get things accomplished. It is incredibly difficult in not being able to control the energy. Again, remember the energy configuration is dynamic, fast moving and very changing. It will be a bit like riding on Space Mountain at Disney or being on a wild and crazy roller coaster. As long as you stay "LIVING IN THE MOMENT" and going with the flow, it will be fine.
All Matters for the next few months will feel as if they have a very FATED quality to them. Not much free will rolling around in the heavens. The planets are too volatile and changing. They are fighting and acting directly in the world so expect decisive actions. We can expect major stock market and economic developments around the world as these are mighty powerful and changing times.
As you'll note below, the Sabian Images for the Lunar Eclipse are relatively harsh. No fairies dancing on flowers under this eclipse! One image invokes a car wrecked by a train while the other speaks of Indians dancing as they go to war OR rowing the canoe. I hope you will be able to row your canoe instead of experiencing a war dance or a car accident.
As you listen to, advise and work with your friends, coworkers and family, encourage them to focus on rowing their canoe rather than wrecking their car or doing a war dance.
Lynda Hill's interpretation of the Sabian Image for the Cancer Sun is AT A RAILROAD CROSSING, AN AUTOMOBILE IS WRECKED BY A TRAIN
Commentary: 'At a Railroad Crossing, an Automobile is Wrecked By a Train'. This image sounds rather ominous, however the only way that an 'Automobile' can get 'Wrecked at a Railroad Crossing' is if it gets in the path of the 'Train'. The 'Car' in this Symbol represents the free will of the individual, having the ability to go in the direction the driver chooses, and the 'Train' represents a carriage for many people, the collective. The 'Train' can only go on its tracks; it has no ability to maneuver tricky situations or to change direction quickly.
Oracle: Although this Symbol often sounds worse that it often really is, there is a need for caution. The individual's ideas or actions will not easily survive in a collision with the more powerful collective, especially if they are reckless or not carefully thought through. Even with the best of intentions, this may not be a good time to be insisting bravely that you or your needs be considered. The collective has so much momentum; it will not stop its course to think about what's happening to a single individual. If someone pits themselves and their energies against a group or society, there is a good chance that they will lose, at least in some way. Be careful how much you take on in this situation. This Symbol was prevalent in the life and death of Princess Diana. She was endeavoring to "outrun" the media on the night of her tragic accident. It seems sure that she was fed-up with compromising herself with the needs of the media, her driver speeding in an attempt to outrun them. One can only speed for so long in life before one becomes an accident victim or some other kind of statistic. If you examine what risks are being taken in your situation you may realize the need to slow down or not feel the need to "win" or "outrun". Done carefully however, you can indeed challenge the "big guys", winning and coming out on top.
Keywords: Not looking to the consequences of actions. Recklessly going for an objective. Not considering the ramifications. Lots of people causing problems with scheduling. Having the guts to go against society or "the big guys". Cars, trains. Individual rights. Rebelling. Crossroads. The need for good timing. The Caution: Recklessness. Sacrificing individuals for larger gains. Working until one drops. Not looking left or right for possible trouble. Going in the wrong direction. Working at cross-purposes. Not nourishing one's self. Putting the desire for gain before one's more basic personal needs. Valuing possessions before people. Talking so no one gets a word in. Going off the rails. Upsetting or obstructing others. Wreckage. Emotional panic. Spinning out of control.

Lynda Hill's interpretation of the Sabian Image for the Capricorn Moon is INDIANS-SOME ROWING A CANOE WHILE OTHERS ARE DANCING A WAR DANCE
Commentary: 'Indians-Some Rowing a Canoe' is an image of people pulling and working together in a communal effort to do something or to get somewhere. The fact that some are 'Dancing a War Dance' may be the reason some are 'Rowing a Canoe' in the first place. Perhaps they need to make a show of strength and define their boundaries. My friend, Dale O'Brien says of this Symbol: "the purpose of the 'War Dance' is not merely to evoke frenzied anger, but to see a vision of the battle yet to come, a mystical warrior's preparation. It is as if the consciousness of the "in trance" dancing warrior is also at once in warrior's activity (e.g. rowing a canoe)." Maybe they have to "row" through enemy territory and are confronted by the prospect of an attack.
Oracle: In the situation facing you, some people will just want to get on with the job and get somewhere fruitful whilst others are seeking to solve things with aggression. It may be necessary to solve things with a firm determination and vigilant approach to others. Aggression isn't ever really the answer. However, to make a show of one's intentions and position, and the effort that one will go to defend it, may ultimately win the respect of those around. Who's doing the 'War Dance' in this situation? Is it you or another? Perhaps you take turns with each other, with everyone ending up either 'Rowing' or 'Dancing a War Dance'. There may be an element of the enjoyment of drama and getting people whipped up. This can be exciting for a while, but can quickly become tiring or boring. As they say: "keep rowing, but row away from the rocks."
Keywords: Some getting on with their lives whilst others are not. Vehicles of discovery versus arguing and bickering. Threats and intimidation. Making a show of power and mobility. Cooperation bringing release from difficulties. Mobilizing forces. Psyching oneself up. @
The Caution: Making one's case whilst having to be continually on the move. Being emotionally charged. Arguments and bickering that halt forward movement or growth. Intimidation. Moving targets. Superficial shows of strength for display purposes. Making a lot of noise. Pulling faces. Gestures that threaten. Accepting no opposition to progress. Aggression. @
