I have a few questions and I'd like to start a discussion on dwads in synastry... without derailing the other thread.

So is it the other person that feels your dwads and is attracted to you, or do you feel your dwads and are therefore attracted to the other person? Which way do they go?

Ya'll can talk about dwads in general, I don't mind :] I want to know more about them.

Hmm...

I'm just trying to figure out what the heck is up with this one guy I know (Vertex Boy, I've mentioned him several times on this forum).

I just looked at our dwads and his tropical Moon (20 Virgo) is conjunct my dwad Sun (21 Virgo). My tropical Mars (20 Sag) is conjunct his dwad Sun (21 Sag).... we also have it vice versa with his dwad Mars (21 Aqua) conjunct my tropical Sun (19 Aqua).

It's a very Marsian relationship. Very hot in the bedroom, but our tempers toward each other are very hot too. I always attributed it to our Moon/Mars DW.

So by your theory, I feel my planets and is attracted to his dwads?

These are the instructions for how I convert:

1. Look at the dwad table at the bottom of this page. Along the top row, find your planet's sign. Then move down the row to your planet's degree. This will tell you your planet's dwad SIGN.

Example: Your Moon is at 10*07 Cap. Dwad sign = Taurus.

2. Next calculate how many minutes into that degree section your planet is.

Example: Your Cap Moon is at 10*07. That degree category begins at 10*00. So it's 7 minutes into that section.

3. Divide the minutes into the section by 5.
With that answer, each whole number equals 1 degree. (Each remainder equals 12 minutes.)

Example: 7/5 = 1, remainder 2.

End result. Cap Moon at 10*07 =
Taurus Moon
at 1 degree, 24 minutes.

I wish my computer would stop freezing up. Ugh.

I was thinking that a certain someone's Taurus moon was in the Gemini dwad, but I'm sleepy, and realized that their moon is at 2*42 Taurus - so it didn't quite make it (wait, or does it? I think it does, after all - wait, nope. ). I'd been thinking, earlier this year, that their personal planets didn't seem to 'see' my Moon, Venus and South Node - there were only things like semi-sextiles (from what I remember) between those planets and their Sun/Moon or Mars/Saturn.

Jane,

so you think only those Dwad-configurations have an effect, which happen at the same place as an already existing tropical synastric aspect?

EDIT:
I think I misunderstood you.

So you are saying that the tropical planet is "always" feeling the dreamy seductive effect of the Dwad conjunction of another? But if so, how do you explain that Izo wasn`t attracted to that guy the least, which whom she had her tropical Venus conjunct his Dwad Mars?
(Of course maybe there were other modifying aspects in play?).

And the Dwad person only feels it strongly, if she has a tropical planet on her own dwad?

I don't let myself be burdened. Three is no problem. If you change your mind, the offer still stands.

Raspberri..

I have a lot of trouble with math lol (cuz you gotta think of the degrees as minutes on a clock... it's so annoying). I calculated mine by using these calculators:
http://www.datedial.com/datMultiply_Divide_Time.asp
http://www.datedial.com/datAdd_Subtract_Time.asp

So the Dwad of a (Libra Sun 9'49) = Capricorn 9 degrees? Did I do it correctly?

I'm usually good at this stuff but im at work right now my mind is in a million places at once.

It's not the math its just the formula!

It does, Jane (thank you - how did you do that? I'll have to figure it out later). It aspects my Moon, Venus, South Node - all within the first two degrees of Gemini - and (widely) my Vertex (6 Gemini). Squares Mars (around 2*Pisces) and is inconjunct my Uranus/ascendant.

You went to the right dwad sign. We just need to fix how many minutes into that category it is.

That category starts at 7*30 minutes. (That site writes it as 7.5, as in 7 and a half.)

Your Sun is at 9*49.
That's 139 minutes into that category.

139/5 =
27, remainder 4 (each remainder is 12 minutes)

So we end up with your Sun at
Cap 27*48

Sun 9°49 Libra:

From 7°30-10°00 Libra the Duad sign is Capricorn.

Now you got to calculate how many minutes the Sun is from 7°30.

It is 2°19 or converted to minutes: 139 minutes.

You have to divide 139 by 5 which gives you about 28.
So the Duad position of Sun is 28° Capricorn.

Well my SN is at 23 Virgo.

Lol I hope he's not the one because he's a total d*ck. Last year he told me that he didn't want to be friends anymore. He said "I want you to know that I'm moving on from our relationship." And I asked him what he meant by "relationship" as we never officially dated and only slept together he said "Any relationship we have now, had in the past and will have in the future." Recently he told my friend that he didn't approve of the way I handle my relationships (I cheated on an ex with him... something he encouraged, and I "played the field" when I'm single... something he does more than I do) and that's why he stopped being friends with me (AS IF ITS ANY OF HIS BUSINESS). Honestly I think he's just hurt that I didn't save myself for him (he went away to Finland for a few months). But of course he's an Aqua with a Virgo Moon so they have to rationalize feelings. He's a flake when it comes to relationships (romantic and platonic), I'm not the type to put all my eggs in one basket for someone that's going to turn around and say "actually, nevermind." He's done it to me once before.

/rant I could write a novel about this lol

Anyway to stay on topic, we are attracted to other people's dwads?

But what if its our DSC dwad? I guess its the same as our ASC dwad but an opposition.
