When I got married I was very much in love. My transits were Jupiter conjuction with NN, conjuction Sun, Venus, trine Moon trine Saturn ruler of my 7th.Saturn was square my Sun, Venus, Mars, Mercury, quincun Moon remember Saturn ruler of my 7th. Chiron was conjuct Sun and Venus pass 1 degree, trine Moon. Uranus was oppose my Sun and Venus by 2 degrees and sixtile the Moon. In my progress charts the ruler of my 7th was 2 degress from my progress Asc. Progess Venus was sextile progess Asc. Progress Moon was in the cusp of the 5th Jupiter was on the cusp of the 7th and Vertex, PF and Eros were all in the 7th, Juno was conjuct the Asc. In Solar Arcs there were Asc/Sun Asc/Moon and Asc,Venus IP: Logged |

BM,I know that you were just trying to put a challenge out there with that sentence. And I agree on Romeo and Juliet. Not sure they would really have divorced, BUT somehow these things get less romantic when you discuss who is to wash the dishes tonight. lol BUT if you can find romance even in that in the Here and Now, THAT is what the love of your life is about to me, but it always is related to THIS moment, here and now, hic and nunc (Thanks, Ian ). Lucia,
I tend to put the most emphasis on conjunctions and oppositions, yes. But Westran`s study was clearly pointing out that in progressed synastry the trines between Sun and Venus or Venus and Mars often happen, too at the outset of a relationship. Sometimes there will be squares (with Venus and Mars mostly, Sun and Venus seems to be contraproductive for the forming of a relationship), but the relationship might be seriously disbalanced. Great passion not always coincides with compatibility. Rasperri, I don`t doubt he wrote that. But you have to see things in context. That is all I am saying. You are singling out ONE piece of the puzzle and saying this one piece is the whole puzzle. Besides Sun doesn`t signify life itself (the whole chart does), but it is about your lifeFORCE, your vitality, your Self. It is not life in the sense of longevity, but the spark of life in you. It is just as momentary as anything else in progressions.
Which is what progressions are about: a snapshot of a moment.

But it's not momentary because your birth chart shows the Sun is one of the most important aspects of your being and so when we have progressions they are just activating our birth charts. Would you not agree that after every important progression, you change forever, and you never forget it? Just because the initial event (meeting) has passed, doesn't make the progression any less important. Because it went over the Sun, and the Sun is our life basically. We keep that with us forever.IP: Logged |

Wow, we totally hijacked T's thread Let me just say that as far as marriage goes, I have seen Jupiter as a recurring theme not just for me but for others too! It's shown up in transits and SAs though I am sure by progression Jupiter would not really show.
So I have to count Jupiter in this case. Granted, I am into learning from what I read, but I also like to always make the #1 rule in astro predictions be the rule of exceptions lol IP: Logged |

When I met him, my Solar Arc Jupiter was exactly on my Natal Venus. Solar Arc Mars was exactly on my Natal DSC.IP: Logged |

Mars rules my DSC.I can say that we also met when his Progressed Moon was conjunct the ruler of my DSC and my Progressed Moon was conjunct the ruler of his DSC as well. This aspect being activated by the eclipse that year. Plus this was right on our SN synastry (his Venus/Mars on my SN). IP: Logged |

Venus is my descendant ruler, and is conjunct my natal Mars right now... SA Venus is squaring Jupiter/Pluto. But I'm not getting married. IP: Logged |
