Benedict Moon*, do you think that retrograde Saturn has an effect on you? Both my parents have Saturn retro in their charts, and I still can't grasp it.
Does it actually play out differently from a direct Saturn?

Sadly, I do know, I was going to write "and you know what else sucks", but it's kind of the same lol. My stellium of sun-venus-mars is in the seventh, and Saturn is retrograde in the 12th too.

Doux Rêve, I think all the retrograde planets have a different feel than the direct ones. The energy is directed inwards instead of outwards, someone once wrote that a person with a lot of retrograde planets would have a lot of deja-vu's, because they don't take action the way the others do. They first imagine it in their head, live the actions as if it was for real, then re-live it in the real world. Rings true for me.

As for Saturn retrograde, the interpretation says that the lesson of responsibility was not learned in the previous incarnation so this one will have more obstacles. The energy of Saturn turned inwards means a lot more introspection than the average (is this my 12th talking? ), maybe more criticism towards the self than with others.

Do you know what are the transits that make you feel lonely?
I have Saturn transit square my natal Mars and Jupiter, and I feel lonely the last period.

Doux Rêve, I'm not sure how to pinpoint the retro influence in my life but it may be just another reason why I don't relate much to my Cap Ascendant. I'm pretty introspective, as with Maira's interp above, but I also have alot of water that would account for that as well. I'm also not as responsible as maybe a Cap Ascendant should be (I couldn't take charge if I wanted to) but I do feel a sense of personal 'cosmic' responsibility if that makes sense. Like in one small example, I really hate it when people drink and drive. Its just wrong on so many levels.

And Maira, how do you manage personal relationships? Just curious...because I can't. haha

I'm speculating here, but everything in the 12th is hidden, at least until one understands and integrates the energy.

Saturn in the Pisces house may simply dissolve itself and make you feel this way. Bob Marks interpreted this placement as someone who never gets depressed, "but when someone with this placement gets depressed, the trap door to the subconscious swings open and all the old depression comes out."

What are the other planets in the stellium? And do you have anything in the first house?

As for my personal relationships - long story short, I have a thick brick wall and very few people manage to get inside. Once they're in, it's ok, but I still need my solitude.

I found another great link that would also help Doux Reve to grasp the energy of the retrograde.

"For a person with Saturn retrograde in the natal chart, intimacy fears are enormous. They may have an easy time connecting with others (depending on other factors in their chart) and could be very friendly and seemingly outgoing, but if you take a closer look you will soon realize that the Saturn retrograde person gets along fabulously with strangers or ‘new’ friends but tends to shut off - castrate - those who grow to love him or her or anyone who gets close enough to notice the fine cracks in the façade the native presents to others."

The rest is here http://www.throughnightsfire.com/LoveandSaturnRetrograde.html

I was re-reading the article, and it mentions the wall I was talking about

Benedict, one more question, was your father physically or emotionally absent in childhood?

Uranus and Neptune are the other two involved. Its odd that their all outers, but its so personal to me...I guess because of my chart ruler.

As for father, I would say emotionally absent. He was the authoritarian parent, where you did as he said...no questions asked. We were never that close.

I have always had Retro Saturn conjunct the ASC so ,of course,I don't know what life would be without it lol
I think that I have had to climb mountains for an inch of self esteem, from my early teens onward.
My self esteem was not that bad as a child.

I wonder if Saturn Retro does that. My father was gone a lot on business but a kind ,but weak, figure

I'm a whole lot of contradictions

I have uranus square asc, but also have saturn squaring my asc too (though it's not exact like the uranus)

My saturn is loosely squaring my moon (thus my tendency to get down easily =/)

I do feel alone these days =(

Tr.Saturn square natal Mars & Jupiter definitely plays a part in it.

Currently I have Neptune opposing my Moon, and I've been quite confused about everything...very hard to deal with.

maira and Benedict Moon, thank you guys, very helpful.

(((Ami))) Thank you.

mintgirl123, aw I am so sorry
But please keep in mind that these feelings won't last. Everything passes with time. Be brave
