I found this really interesting, because it totally applies to me. The only time I have been genuinely in love - we have a lot of Saturn!

quote:
that Saturn. ..one could never get enough of him. For so long it has been regarded as a doomed planet but actually I started to realise that one of the few meanings of Saturn, in synastry, is Love. A real, deep, fated love.

Venus/Uranus or Venus/Pluto in synastry may suggest a passionate love but Saturn is responsible for us to experience the real meaning of love itself. Gosh, if I only could get a penny for every synastry I checked of serious relationship with strong Saturn ties between the two individuals.

Every time, whenever I hear see or read about a deep, meaningful relationship, I rush out to check the synastry and hop- there it is - at least 2 Saturn squares/conjunctions to partner`s Sun/ Venus/ Moon. In every case- Saturn was there while Venus/Pluto , Venus/Uranus or Venus/Mars not always presented. The most frequent seen Saturn aspect between two partners was Sun/Saturn square.

This one hit almost 90%, 9 of every 10 synastries have had this aspect - either square or opposition, or conjucntion with the square aspect leading. I`ve seen Venus/Saturn square also very often in deeply committed and loving relationships, although not the easiest ones. I saw Linda Goodman listed that aspect in the Love aspects list, which I doubted in the beginning as I was convinced that Saturn only brings disappointments.

I don't deny the "dissapointment" factor here but I missed to understand the other side of Saturn which is not very well revealed as the pain Saturn brings leave us unattainable to the other aspects of his rewards. But for my surprise - whenever someone tells me that they are deeply in love with their partners, every time I hear the words "I love him/her to death", "I cannot live without him/her" - I check the synastry and the Saturn aspect pops up. They are not easy relationships, but the love runs very deep.

It makes sense. Because Saturn reward's are always better than Jupiter's luck. Look at famous people charts. Saturn is strong. Actualyyit is not a planet of despair. It is the planet of karma and reality. Deserve the love and then enjoy. That is all.

Hi!

I am new here so I will just share my personal experience with this one. My late husband and I had Saturn op Sun 1 degree, Saturn square Sun 1 degree and Saturn square Moon 5 degress. We were married for 30 years until he passed away a couple of years ago. He died at home in my arms.

For sure we had our ups and downs but we did really, really love each other.

By the way, he was a lot older than me.

All the best/Anna-Lena(in Sweden)

blugrey - I know it is normally not considered a 'love planet'..

But I was surprised because...

quote:
every time I hear the words "I love him/her to death", "I cannot live without him/her" - I check the synastry and the Saturn aspect pops up. They are not easy relationships, but the love runs very deep.

That is how I feel and that is how he feels ^ and neither of us have felt this way before.
So maybe there is something about Saturn intensifying feelings? Or maybe it's because of the karmic connection - as Mertzy mentioned.

Thank you for posting this I'm in a similar situation - He is also much older and we have Sun/Saturn double whammy. It would be so amazing if we could be together 30 yrs or more.. I hope that happens.

They talk about the hard aspects but how do you think the softer aspects would affect a relationship? Say like moon & venus to saturn?

Saturn i'd imagine in terms of bedroom....would be that hard stuff....like when a guy and a girl are makin what they call in english...love....and the lady or man grabs the other by the face but not too hard while it's going on and says..."look at me"....and as it's happening(the dirty deeds)....."If I ever catch you with another woman i'll chop em off"......

that's saturn in love.

Saturn haha. Yes, tons of Saturn aspects down to the parallels of declination, incl. a Saturn-Saturn square and no Venus-Mars and just a Venus-Pluto sesqui.

Omg Road....the mental picture you gave me made laugh because its so true...lol! Its like bondage with invisible rope. I'm a capricorn so I don't mind saturn. I treat relationships like legos...we carefully construct this project with the right pieces with a strong foundation so it doesn't teeter over and after we've constructed our masterpiece we sit back & admire what we have built together. : )

describe the words that are said in the bedroom....

the reason i ask is because what is said or not said during the act of procreation speaks alot about the real nature of the relationship...the inner core.

Well obviously I am not going to feel like that with every person that has Saturn in the right spot to aspect my personals.

It's always the sum total, incl. looks and how you behave in RL.

my moon trine his saturn, his saturn trine my venus, my saturn oppose his venus, mercury & jupiter. Throw in a few pluto aspects (my pluto trine his venus & his pluto trine my moon, his pluto square my sun) and a venus trine uranus makes for a fun but awfully stable relationship.
