Chiron is in my 11th house.
Friends have always been a source of pain for me... so yes. I hope relationships don't replace friends as the source of pain.

Chiron is in my 5th house. Dating has not been easy, to say in the least. Children? Not completely sure if I want them, but that changes daily.

my chiron in Aries is in 11. i dont seem to feel sorry about things related to friends. however, i read somewhere that chiron in 11 meant that you fail to stand up as unique in the crowd and they give the example of Beckham, who has the same placement.

Chiron is in my 4th house -- so would that mean the home is a source of sorrow for me? I hope that does not mean I will have a hard time building a sanctuary for myself to come home to every night after a tough day of working.

I have had to be at home for almost 8 months for my chemo and radiation treatment (and Lyme disease has slowed things down) and after about 3 months the novelty wore off and I absolutely hate it now. Can not stand living in my hometown either. I am surprised I lasted 3+ months, actually.

What are Chiron's aspects? Does it touch a planet in the 7th. My book says that Virgo is the sign which Chiron rules. This makes sense to me so we could do house rulers on this and see is the 7th house is involved.

Which house has Virgo on the cusp?

Boy am I glad you brought up this topic, Ami.

I have Chiron in the first house and I'm not sure if it applies, although I hated my nose and was extremely self conscious because of it until I got rhinoplasty, but it affected my self esteem tremendously when I was younger. Now, I hate my legs - to the point that I don't wear shorts or short skirts - ever. So there seems to always be an issue with me and my appearance. I am NOT the type of person to just shrug it off; it matters a great deal to me. I see people walking around who I think should be "under wraps", but they're not.... they are totally comfortable with themselves; and I always wonder why I couldn't have been progammed that way!

But I was just studying the chart of "the guy" (you know who I mean). Now, from what he's told me, and from what the psychics have confirmed, his marriage is thoroughly miserable for him; she just rides him and makes him sad. He is actually afraid of her reactions; he hides a lot from her. And guess what? Chiron in the 7th.

So... I'd say it looks like there's some truth to the theory. I think your Chiron in the 4th is spot on.

Here’s a couple links that list Chiron by sign and house. So far I was only able to find Aries and Pisces, but I’ll edit and add more as I come across them.

Yes and No. I did not have any father figure to speak of. Thank god his poor examples did not lead me down the wrong path too much, but in that respect, yah it was sad.

Did I have all the latest and coolest clothes and toys? No. So from a materialistic dumb little kid standpoint, yah, it was sad. But in hindsight, as an adult, that matters little. The fact that I did not have any cool toys like everyone else does not make me worse off in the end. Granted as a moody 13 year old I was totally embarrassed to be seen in my moms beat up volvo wagon. So, yah, I was sad back then but like I said, matters little now.

Sad in that I was a "ghost" in school and got bullied. Kids were real Pieces of Sh!+ to me from 7-11th grade especially and that was real sad. But it did not stop me from growing into a fine young gentlemen capable of being very social and outgoing and making all sorts of friends in his young 20s.

Was it a sad childhood? I guess you could say that, from the perspective of a fellow child. But as an adult, I am far removed from those moments and can see in some ways I was a. too materialistic b. too concerned with what others thought, as most teens are.

So 4th house is more to do with childhood than living situation? So maybe I am PAST my source of sorrow?! Maybe..because I had a neat living situation in Maine for three years and even..gasp..I might regret this, in China too.

Something (slowly) happened in my late teens (19) into my early 20s which made me more capable of being social and outgoing and comfortable with myself and I would love to chat with an exp. and interested astrologist to see transits from 18-23 or so. or, even before, 13 or 14-17 when I was also deeply shy and compare transits and progressions. I still get times where I feel like my old shy teen self, regressions if you will. But a "sad" childhood (again (more) from the perspective of an inexperienced teen) did not leave too bad of a mark in the end.

Yes
Since doing the charts, I am SEEING that Chiron in the first is a wound to the outer self which interfaces with society/the world
This is what got me to do this thread. Astrology is so true that it is freaky!

Ami, I am wondering how might Chiron in the 4th impact someone as an adult?

-Might it make them act childish sometimes or never quite make it to "adult life"?
-Might it make a parent make their child(ren)'s life sad (too)? So I have to work hard to make sure my child has a happy life in other words?
-Might the sad childhood impact adult life too much if the child does not work on their issues too much (perhaps this is where NN and other placements come into play).

Funny enough, my North node is also in 4th house so maybe I can naturally work on the wounds from my childhood. Do you think? Maybe that is why my progression feels so..natural and with ease. Wondering what your opinions are.

Oddly enough Chiron/NN are the only things in 4th house. Unless you wanna count some of the default asteroid selections on astro.com, Ceres is the only other thing in 4th house. so my 4th house is actually pretty empty if you count all the planets and 16 of the default asteroids..something seems fated, aha, to have TN there then...

Well Carl
I hear you doing what I used to do and STILL do--minimizing the pain --trying to be an "adult".
If it worked, I would have done it

Well, what would work better?

One thing that worked for me was to seek out other "father figures" in coaches, teachers and mothers friends". I do not mean impose myself, but try to work on a natural relationship. Plus, they kind of knew I lacked a true father and I think met me half way. It is hard to explain. But father figure was the saddest thing about my childhood. I really do wish I had that, but have found other mentor like relationships with men old enough to have been my father. Like, with those interested in helping out a young man (me). I don't force it though, of course. Though I imagine that could be an issue with other Chiron 4th house folks.

As far as materials, well..I have learned that as long as you have a roof and food you honestly have more than a lot of people on this earth and I have come to cherish that. and thus, lacking some dumb playstation system (late 90s fad) does not seem so bad now. Concentrate on essentials, minimize (perhaps some other aspect in my chart makes this feel so..natural, cause it is.).

Maybe I will never know how much the bullies impacted me, and maybe I rationalize too much. But the best way to pass that is to just make friends and socialize.

Ami, Your Chiron explain why you don't like psychologists... Mainly as your mother was one.

4th house= Mother/Family
Aquarius= psychology/brains/higher mind

Put the two together.

Like me I have Chiron in Cancer in the 9th
Cancer= Father/Father's family.
9th house= religion (amongst other things, I have Jupiter rx giving me some protection.

i don't relate much to chiron in 8th. i'm not super interested in darkness/sex/ death plutonian stuff but i could see some future meaning with joint resources. it's a possibility. i was looking at the major aspects though and i have a sextile going to the moon and i found this. i may have felt this way but now it's not really an issue. both my parents are career minded people so i understand completely now if they were too busy. i'm the same way and can't really wrap my mind around having time to nurture children. sometimes i kinda want to fix other people too lol! rare and it's mostly to women/ moon but it's been popping up more often as i age.

Chiron and the Moon: When you were a kid, did you have the feeling that your mother wanted to be doing something else instead of take care of you? One of the negative effects of Chiron in aspect to the Sun (mentioned above) is difficulty in accepting criticism. By contrast, with Chiron aspecting the Moon, you can think you are being criticized you even when you are not, and then you react to this imaginary "attack." Of course there will also be the tendency to "mother" others and help them with their emotional expression. Be careful not to smother while you mother.

Chiron in the 7th and yeah... All you can imagine about 7th house being the house of sorrow and more, rings true for me

However, there have been other "houses" which caused me sorrow - that is to say areas of life. My sorrow is not just exclusive to the 7th house matters

Dear Sand
Which aspects do you have to your Chiron?
Could you list them--sign and house.
ALSO I think Chiron rules Virgo so we could use IT in house rulers ,too.
