Ugh, I'm never getting married, which is funny because I've been saying since I was a kid.

Capricorn in 7th
Mars in 7th, afflicted
Ruler of 7th in 6th House
Ruler of 6th house squares ruler of 7th house

Oh well, I do enjoy cats lol

What does ruler of 7th in the 6th mean? Married to the job?

I'd say strong factors are Sun in 7th(feels like marriage is too much compromising)

Saturn in 7th(marriage is too much work/pessimism)

Saturn in 5th or Saturn in hard aspect to Sun and/or Venus-person is very inhibited/damaged to blossom romantically.

Maybe Saturn in 4th, too -daddy issues, or unhappy childhood memories.

Of course, Virgo placementshelp a great deal.
Elizabeth "the Virgin Queen" was a Virgo.

Yes. Or it could mean I work in the service field and I'll never be home, or my partnership will be business-like.

Since the ruler of my 7th is Saturn and the 6th house has a stellium, I'm pretty sure I'll be married to work because I always find partenerships unequal. I'd rather help people and make money as well.

Funny I studied the charts of long term partnerships, less than a hundred, but still there was a disproportion pointing to many having Capricorn on an angle (any angle)..I thought it can't be that simple, maybe just a coincidence?

Lol what are the aspects? I've never met anyone with this placement. I have always been faithful but my problem is after the honeymoon period (3months) I get unhappy and decide to leave. Too much work

I have a few of the mentioned aspects/positions in my chart, and... gotta admit.. it's a bit disheartening to hear I may never marry!
I've never been certain of much in my life, but one thing I've always known, without question, was the fact I wanted to be a wife & mother.

Aries is on the cusp of both my 6th & 7th house, with Mars sitting in the 8th.. retrograde! Plus, my Venus is pretty strained.. among other things, it makes a wide (6 degrees) square to Saturn. If someone was to just glance at my chart I'd say they would think I was a very independent person, perhaps flighty.. and even though I'm a Libra.. don't think they would think I was interested in marriage. But that couldn't be farther from the truth! So here's hoping other factors can pull through to override the aforementioned aspects.

To add to the topic...
Venus square Uranus in a persons chart would strike me as someone who just didn't want to be tied down, possibly?
And even though I have it.. I agree that Saturn making harsh aspects to Venus, the 7th house ruler and maybe even the Moon might make someone cold & closed-off.. not allowing them to make a relationship that could potentially lead to marriage. Unless, of course.. they work on it. As I am.

Hey...
Can you expand a bit on that? I have Cap on the MC, and my boyfriend has a Cap DSC. We've been together for 10 years (although right now.... ugh.... looks real bad). Actually, I would love to be married one day. I'm forty-seven, and it seems more and more like a dream at this point.

I've been researching the houses, and have seen several different interpretations.

Someone asked on the first page of this thread whether marriage could be separated from relationships, and from the house interpretations I've come across, it can.

In all interpretations the 7th house has ruled partnerships - I would take this to be the marriage. But I also came across an interp that stated the 5th house as governing love affairs - so perhaps that is the relationship?

Just a thought.

5th is one night stands, basically. Romance for the ego, not a partnership. It's a relationship based purely on "fun", not a commitment to each other.

So, would the fact that I have a Taurean 7th with my Taurean Venus in it (aspects: sextile Pisces Merc, trine Virgo Jupiter) mean that I can't help but get marrried

And Chiron's conj my Venus...

There are a couple angles that you could take in answering this question because people have different reasons for not choosing marriage. For example, someone might not support the institution of marriage in our conventional society and therefore would choose not to participate in such a practice or someone might not believe in monogamy and romantic relationships and could choose to be isolated for most of their lives and ride out this life solo. I'm the former, and therefore I'm assuming thanks to my dominant Uranian traits I don't support marriage or any form of legal or contractual agreement because I consider it ineffective, oppressive, restrictive and unnecessary.

I'd prefer to simply spend my days with someone I care deeply about free of obligations and expections whether physical or imaginary. I'm not beguiled by the benefits that come with marriage. It's not worth giving up an ounce of physical freedom for tangible security that might even become obsolete as the world evolves.

Lol I have uranus, neptune, and true node in capricorn.... in the 7th house....
I will probably get married late in my life maybe just to find a companion?
I've never seen a happy marriage. Its weird to see so many people obsessed about it, the idea of marriage always freaked me out. I like the idea of being free
