So far we have all capricorns that sounds really interesting maybe he lived through the 50's ....I know another virgo with a similar chart not much aspects and he's all hippy dippy everythings fine kind of person ...

I do wonder that though...some people do have that old soul personality. Wise beyond their years, and calm...
This 6 year old at the day care I worked at...I'm use to seeing six year old's...talk my ear off, any object has potential to be a pretend gun and to pretend shoot people, and pretend fighting with their friends turns into real fighting.

This six year old...would just sit in the day care and be sooo bored...after a while he would bring in his Nintendo DS or whatever in and listen to slow songs of Green Day.

like his face expressions where not childlike. He would look people dead in the face and say "whatever..."

And then some people no matter how ancient they are, can seem very child like. Like my Grandma F. who loved sweets, loved to dance, and would say things like "If you can't have fun you might as well be dead"

Those of you that know much on this topic can someone who seems very childlike be an old soul? And someone that six that doesn't seem uber phased by toys, mud, and monster trucks. Be a young soul?

Is this an appropriate question to post on this topic? (I don't want to seem like a troll) lol

I truly agree with you britterfly. The south node is likely an indicator of where we were in our past life...South Node describes the qualities brought over from our previous life, and describes how we lived when we were young. Our deeply habitual ways of being and thinking are shown here, and as we mature we tend to act out the qualities of our South Node less. It shows both the unhelpful and negative qualities that our Soul wishes to move away from.

^ Well past lives yea, if you are into reincarnation it can be read from SN, as lives that have a direct impact on this one, but not actual soul age imo, I don't believe it can be read in a chart. Some astrologers have told me that and I think they're full of it, it sounded like bs from the get-go as a way to kiss my backside and try to make me feel good about my chart. I'm a toughie I could've taken being brand new lol I don't care, either way I'm here.

I'm waiting for Grand-Master-Coffee to chime in since he seems to have all the answers too bad there's not a kiss butt smiley I can find.

What do you guys think of the saying that souls are ageless? It feels right to me but I dunno. I mean the fact that we are all here means that we don't have it figured out obviously so whose to say one of us is better than the other cos we get to wear the badge of being advanced?

I get what the OP meant but I just personally find it a weird thing to look for, I don't see a practical purpose there. We're all human and we all falter.

Maybe you want to call Mother Teresa as possessing an old soul, but maybe the girl just plain felt a need to serve. Sun/Mars in Virgo trine Saturn plainly puts a lot of energy into service and wants results (Saturn) for her efforts (Sun/Mars), Moon conj NN could be read as desire to be mother to all, Jupiter sq Neptune could be read as spiritual calling, Mars/Moon/Uranus grand trine in Earth could be read as having a radical approach in addressing practical needs (not everyone becomes a nun, you know (!) ), Venus sq Saturn can restrict the personal desire nature in a woman's chart and feel that since they are not lovable that they don't deserve attention/affection and put the focus instead on others, it can also make one more sensitive to pains of rejection and being cast out, or less sensitive, depending on the person, Saturn in Taurus is v.sensitive to personal resources being drained and lives in fear of poverty but when read alongside the Taurus Moon it could be seen as feeling a responsibility to make sure others had their practical needs met since Moon is conj the NN which is the path you're on it makes a lot more sense regarding being sensitive to suffering of others, Venus in Leo sextile Jupiter could be read as generous, SN in Scorpio could be read as having a keen idea of where resources lie and how to manipulate them to best personal benefit, Mercury sq Pluto is also quite the detective with a sharp insight into others, it helps when you want to get your way and manipulate others, manipulation can be used positively and negatively, it isn't inherently bad.

Who says? But more importantly where are they getting their info? Don't throw something as vague as soul age out there with no back up.
And Capricorn ASC have Cancer DSC as their shadow. Something to ponder.
I get Saturn being related to Karma, so you could argue that it could be a karmic lifetime since Capricorn is their approach. So what is it, if their Saturn is in Aries they're a "young old soul" but if it's in Pisces then "that is the pinnacle". Ridiculous. I'm talking about Saturn as their ASC ruler here.

There are other factors that could indicate heavy karma. And ultimately if you go along with idea of Karma then we are all on that wheel.

Past lives that have bearing on this one? Yes.

Im not sure either if you can tell from chart if a person is an "old soul" or not.
I guess Old soul would refer to someone who had lots of incarnations? Or who had lots of lives specifically on Earth?

I read/heard that a soul would want to have a heavy Saturn/Capricorn influenced chart if they wanted to make sure that 1. they main life goals would get accomplished thus having a relatively hard life/responsible character, or 2. wanted to learn some heavy lessons in order to evolve a lot during a single life time.
And that sometimes they take on more (when planning an incarnation) than it would have been neccessary

I'm not saying looking into past lives is silly, if you go for that then why not.
But I just want to know what purpose does it serve in knowing that you are an old soul, in someone telling you that in an obvious manner cos you have this ASC or that NN placement? Like I said people have told me that but I don't care what age my soul is, it doesn't serve me in a positive manner to hear that, I don't see it having any practical use in my life. I also don't believe that it can be read in the chart since it can't be researched since you cannot read its age in any objective manner. And then if you go along with the idea that old souls are better/more advanced than younger souls to me that's the same as saying some 90 year old is better than me cos she has a few decades on me, cos she's in a wheelchair cos her hips gave out and I'm not. I'm not going along with that. I'm also not going along with the idea that I'm better than the baby who is being born right this second cos I have a few decades on her and I can read and she can't. It's crazy. The 90 year old, me, and the baby being born, we're all the same.

I already know I lived quite a few lives i'm not sure if it matters because I know I have a lot more to learn here and now It's just interesting like were do peopel come up with it and what does it show through charts like draconic or natal .. and the only capricorn I have is neptune and uranus conjuncting I also have a pisces ac which i'm not sure is considered young or old .. w.e

It doesn't matter how "old" anyone's soul is. I've seen everyone I have ever interacted with behave in childish, far-less-than-enlightened ways. We are all children in the eyes of God, and children we all are. Old soul, young soul.. we're all stupid. Some of us have just been stupid a lot longer and racked up more Karma for it. Woopdeedoo.
